Project Overview
About Hatcher Island:
Hatcher Island is a character-focused DLC sized quest mod where you go to an isolated island off the coast of Massachusetts to help the settlers defend their town from pirates, or instead join the pirates and drive the settlers away. But below the surface there is rumblings of some ancient force, something beyond the control of the people on the surface, beyond their understanding, and far more dangerous.
Instructions:
I am requiring everyone to have a half-decent mic, at least as good as a blue yeti, and to have a discord account so they can join the discord after I accept your audition(I will send the link in a private message after I accept the audition) where you will share the files and WIP with me and I will give tips and directions. Please save everything as a 32bit, 44k MHz WAV file (Or the closest your recording software can export in), I would prefer each line to have multiple takes so I can choose the best one for the context. Try to have minimal to no background noise, although I can remove it it would be easier just to not have it there, I will do all the post-processing and audio mastering so avoid doing that yourself.

Skullcap had a big falling out with Cap’n leading to him taking part of the crew and making their own rival crew on the island, The Whailers. The Whailers set up in a cave on the island just to uncover a deadly evil force that lies below. He is now a servant of Kremvh, H’Hafh'drn Hupadgh Ebumna (Its Priest Born of the Pit)

'Red' Richard Malloy is a man in his late 30s to early 40s, he doesn't know himself. He has a shocking head of long red hair that he keeps under a ballcap and is covered in burn scars he received from explosive accidents.
Red was raised and trained by his grandfather and father who instilled in him that he is the only one who could save the Island if the merrows ever returned. This being drilled into him as a kid has made him off to say the least, so much so that most people of Mistmoor don't want to really associate with him and his single minded rambling except for the town idiot.

Keeper Flannan was one of the prewar lighthouse keepers whom the player learns about during a side quest that explores the island’s history.

The tourist arrived on the island for a “vacation” and has been stuck there since the pirate started attacking.
He's a smarmy cowardly asshole.

Grommet is just a kid and one of the few survivors if the pirates take the town. He thinks pirates are cool, hopefully he won't realize that pirates are the ones that killed his family.

Bohai Fashe, aka Barrett Franklin. Well educated man, has a masters in marine science, went to Boston University after immigrating to America as a Chinese spy. Has an anger management problem and will snap violently if talked back to. He was enrolled in the Chinese Army before the war and switched to intelligence after showing a great understanding of technology/marine life when patrolling the pacific islands. Pre-war, Barret uses communication tower to contact main land with a frequency with updates regarding the deactivation of sea mines, boring of holes off the coast and on the island, as well as radiation measurements from the coastal waters looking out for specific isotopes regarding US Nuclear Tests or Chinese submarines. Understands Chinese, Russian, English, Portuguese.
Later in the story he becomes ghoulified.

(Ghoulified, Aggressive) "You're here to kill me aren't you!? Do it! I have no more reasons to stay anymore, either you or Pahngsheiah(螃蟹)the mutants will get me."
Maliah Yarbrough grew up in California and went to college at UC Santa Cruz, resented being out and interacting with the surfing crowd and became a hermit in college. Strong Central California Accent. Was initially told that this program would be in Nahant but apparently it had too many staff and she was given a choice to come to the Island or go back home and bite the cost of a plane ticket. Stayed on the island to work under Barret, not really liking his attitude. She like birds and Seals, marine specialist, would have been a vet if she didn't live so close to the coast. Understands ASL, Korean, Spanish, English.

(Dissatisfied but Calm) "I was told explicitly I would be helping in Nahant with the understanding I could travel to Boston. Now you tell me that you've over booked your staff? ... (Connecting the dots in Amazement and Fear) "So you're the one who's been feeding them, and giving them... You need to stop before you or anyone else gets hurt. If this gets out... What wait! You don't have to... Who's direction?!"
(Stars off Monotone but gets more loose) "It's day 23 and I still haven't heard from the board. I'm almost certain they're intercepting the mail. (Tone Switch) John at least seems.. interesting and funny. I have to get him to say The Slippery Seals Swim Softly."
John Astorga is a the other scientist on the island with Barret before Sarah showed up. He was reassigned from Kitty Hawk NC after a workplace incident that left him partially deaf. His speech is heavily impaired and he prefers to type up notes or handwrite things. John's family is of Spanish decent, but speaks with a North Carolinian accent and has a speech impediment due to his almost full hearing loss. John understands ASL but cannot sign, understands English and basic Spanish. The type of voice I'm trying to emulate is with the VA pinching their tongue with 2 fingers and trying to talk.

Cutler was a captain of a tugboat before the war but when the war set off his ship went down and him with it, the player discovers his story through holotapes inside the wreck.
