Fallout 4 CSEP: Brothers In Arms
Project Overview
Brothers In Arms is a quest mod that adds a new faction into fallout 4, a group of brotherhood outcasts still loyal to Elder Lyons from fallout 3. A quest mod this large requires many-voiced characters.
Instructions:
I am requiring everyone to have a half-decent mic, at least as good as a blue yeti, and to join the discord: https://discord.gg/zpWFmZ8NkY where you will share the files and WIP with me and I will give tips and directions. Please save everything as a stereo WAV file, I would prefer each line to be individual files, with multiple takes so I can choose the best one for the context, but if you would rather just give it to me in one big file I can easily cut it up on my own. Try to have minimal to no background noise, although I can remove it it would be easier just to not have it there. Lastly, emotion is what really makes voice acting stand out, the better you can convey the directed emotion the better the line is felt in-game.

These soldiers are pretty average and generic, they make up the majority of misc characters you'll find around within the faction. most are new recruits but some are holdovers from the BOS group in DC.
“We’re always looking for new recruits, until you join up I’m going to be keeping my eyes on you.” (Suspicious, Commanding)
“Fuck Man down!” (commanding, upset)
“True to steel Recruit.” (Casual, addressing someone of low rank)
Average outcast soldiers, pretty minor, they make up the majority of the outcast's military. some new recruits are from the Boston area so they would have that accent.
“We’re always looking for new recruits, until you join up I’m going to be keeping my eyes on you.” (Suspicious, Commanding)
“Fuck Man down!” (commanding, upset)
“True to steel Recruit.” (Casual, addressing someone of low rank)
Colvin, a returning character from fallout 3, he was a pretty minor member of lyons pride but now he's one of the last survivors. Although he's had a tough life he still turns to the good book for advice to get him through it all.
“It’s no citadel but this place beats roughing it.” (Casual)
"I hope this doesn't mean another civil war with the brotherhood, I was hoping it wouldn't come to that." (Worried, on edge)
“Many tormented souls will meet the Maker today. I will pray for forgiveness.” (Somber as he starts combat)
Ridley is the head Scholar, their rank equivalent to head scribe, she's in charge of keeping everything working and gives the first quest where you help the outcasts to the player.
"We are not the Brotherhood. We used to be, but we wish to be separate from them now." (slightly annoyed)
"Yeah, you look a little worse for wear, here have some radaway." (worried)
"No, radiation corrupts data. We have the data, we just need the parts." (correcting)
Phillips is an aged veteran. He studied under elder Lyons back in DC and took the fight to the Enclave at the purifier. When Maxson took charge then Paladin Phillips fought back and the LOS was born. although he is the acting leader of the LOS he does not play too significant of a role in the story.
"I am Admiral Abraham Phillips. Back in the capital wasteland, I was one of Elder Lyons’ understudies." (Informative, friendly)
"Elder Lyons was one of the wisest and most strong-willed elders in the history of the Brotherhood." (Informative, somber)
"When I studied under Lyons I learned many things. For one, our main goal is not to preserve technology, but to protect and help the wasteland." (Informative)
Whitman is a paladin in Maxson's brotherhood of steel, he hates the LOS with a passion and has been entrusted with their extermination, and he will enjoy doing it.
“The Legion of Steel, they defy Maxson's will and need to be exterminated.” (Aggressive, commanding)
“We do this by the book, we’ll dispatch a verti assault squad and airdrop onto the site, we’ll keep a bird in the air for close air support.” (commanding, informing)
"With that, I agree, at first I wasn't so sure about you but you've shown yourself to be a true brother. Ad Victoriam." (Proud, cocky)
