Project Overview
This project is an official audio adaptation of the military post-apocalypse novel 'BulletBorn' by Sir Arch Stanton.

Currently in pre-production, this audiobook is a hybrid combination of audiobook & full cast drama. With a narrator, full cast, original music and sound effects.
Due to the complexity of adapting a 300+ novel into this hybrid format, we are looking to cast voice actors to be involved in an experiment in adapting the prologue of the novel.
If successful, the actors successful in the casting have priority casting when the project goes into full production and full payment for their future work from the simultaneous crowdfunding campaign.

The narrator is serious, low, almost grieving as they recount the events of the novel, as if they are sharing this painful life experience whilst sat around a burning tire for heat.

"The oppressive weight of the Reformed States of America loomed heavily over Austin and the other rebels gathered within the dimly lit meeting hall. Deep within the segregated District Nine, the air crackled with tension and desperation. Flickering fluorescent lights cast erratic shadows, mirroring the fragile hopes of those who refused to be broken by the iron fist of the RSA."
"The scent of mildew mingled with the sharp tang of sweat, and the weariness etched on the faces of Austin’s comrades told a story of survival. These were the defiant souls of the rebellion, their patched clothing a testament to countless encounters with the RSA’s brutal enforcers. Yet, within their eyes burned a flicker of unyielding hope."
Rebel Leader, young at age but old in experience. Having lived harder than anyone his age should have. Full of doubts, but his leadership is needed and so does his best to hide it and project a strong persona.
(speaking to himself) "Twenty-fifty-three will be the year all of this changes. Today is the day everything changes."
(Addressing Rebel Crowd) [Firm, but cautious] "Comrades, I bring news that will undoubtedly stir debate among us. We have successfully brought in a defector from the RSA—a soldier who has risked everything to join our cause. This individual has provided us with invaluable information on the inner workings of the Reformed States Military."
(Addressing Rebel Crowd) [Resolute] "I understand your doubts, my friend. Trust is a rare and precious commodity in these dark times. But I assure you, we have taken every precaution to vet this defector. Our lives and the future of our rebellion depend on it."
Negative Rebel, accepting of the possibility of their own death everyday.
[Quietly] "You ever wonder how long this place can hold? I mean, if the RSA found out—"
[Suspicious, cutting in] "We’re here to hear the truth, Gates. Nothing else."
[Wary] "This place always feels like it’s holding its breath. Like the calm before a storm."
In a world where strength is prioritised before compassion, Aubrey has had to be grow tough and cold. Being direct and professional is how she's survived, but moments of her true age and the real girl behind the mask leak out when she knows no-one is around.
(Professional) "He’s waiting for you in the operation room. Follow me."
(Urgent, hushed): "Austin, we need to move. There’s a patrol to the east—we’ve got about five minutes before their rotation passes this area."
(Pulling Austin aside): "What now? Jack’s secure, but the RSA’s pressure is only increasing. We can’t afford to lose momentum."
A brilliant military soldier, who is frozen in status so that his skills can be used when the world needs men like him. He knows that he is important, the main character of the stories that involve him. He has moments of cold calculation, alongside times of levity and camaraderie with the survivors he knows need him.
(Serious): "Then let’s get to it. The RSA has vulnerabilities, cracks in their systems they think are invisible. I’ve been on the inside. I’ve seen how they operate. And I’m telling you, they’re not as invincible as they want you to believe."
Curious, stepping closer): "You’ve built something impressive here. A rebellion hidden in plain sight. But I have to know, why Ground Zero? What’s the significance of the name?"
(Admiring, warm): "You’ve turned their arrogance into your weapon. They see power as control, but they can’t control what they don’t understand. It’s brilliant."
(Grim) "But what if they're just feeding us false information, leading us into a trap? How can we be certain of their loyalty?"
(Uncertain) "But what if it’s a trap? If Jack Gates is leading us into an ambush, we’ll lose everything."
Exhausted Rebel, a Survivor.
"So what’s the plan, Austin?"
Intense guard, put into a position of being the oppressor. Better to be them and eat instead of free but starving.
"Hey, you there!"
(cocks gun) Back up, Back up now!
Active member of the fight. Serious and Direct.
[Whispered] "How much longer do you think we can keep doing this? The drones, the squads—it feels like they’re everywhere now."
