Hi, and welcome to the casting call for my sims machinima voice over series, Ethereal.

PLOT :
Ever since she was a child, Isla Truehart has had dreams of a mysterious, ethereal princess. Though she remembers the dreams vaguely, she knows they’re connected to all of her misfortunes. Her parents were murdered when she was young, and her first love kidnapped and presumed dead. Now, Isla wishes for nothing more than to live a peaceful life. Even though her own memories surrounding the events mysteriously disappeared, Isla knows the supernatural were involved. Now a senior university student, things have been quiet for a few years. Isla has found a way to express herself through singing, and has recently begun to gather media attention, something her best friend Violet, has hoped to avoid. With Isla’s popularity increasing, Violet fears for Isla’s life. Isla however, believes that all the danger from many years ago is gone. That is, before she meets Leo Sano. To everyone else he’s handsome, popular, and very smart, but Isla sees right through him. Their relationship remains something less than casual, until one day Leo begins to go out of his way to be nice to Isla. As they grow closer, Isla’s lost memories begin to return hazily, and she’s dragged into the supernatural world again. Soon, Isla begins to realize her voice is the key to everything that's ever happened to her, and sets out to find the truth to her past and the true meaning of
her existence before it's too late.

The main protagonist. She is your average college student, and knows the supernatural exist. Despite everything that’s happened to her, she continues to move forward and not let it drag her down. She easily trusts people but frequently misjudges Leo. She possesses a unique style of singing, which is rapidly gaining her popularity.
* The voice actor for her will have to be able to alternate between three different voice types (for two other characters related to Isla). If you are good at singing and want to take a shot at singing throughout the series versuss me just using the original songs, along with the character lines, please provide a sample of you singing a part of these songs.

confused/curious) Just..what kind of person is he? He ignored me a few minutes ago in there, but now, in front of Chloe he’s greeting me and giving me coffee? Did he do that just so she would see?
(defensive/accusing) Are you seriously being honest right now? I’m telling you it wasn’t me. You were there too! So if it wasn’t me, then who could it have been?

Isla’s vampire best friend. Unbeknownst to Isla, Violet was sent to protect Isla, and the two ended up forming a close bond. She is very outspoken, and protective of Isla.
(playful) Hey wifey. You know I love you right? How about letting me borrow your notes real quick? (moping) I spilled coffee all over mine!
kind of sad/regretful) A small favor… turned into so much more… you are my best friend… and I didn’t want to lie to you.. But what could I do? The rules in my world are different than the rules in yours.
(shouting then crying) ISLA!!! ISLA! No, no no no! This can’t be. I was… supposed to protect you. How..? Please… Isla…
A classmate of Isla’s who is obsessed with Leo. Goes out of her way to humiliate Isla, and manipulate her and Leo away from each other. Classic mean girl.
(aggressive) I bet you’re happy that Leo is giving you attention. Don’t be. He’s nice to everyone, it’s just who he is.
Line 2:
(lying/fake pity) I told him where you were, and he didn’t even come? Oh, what should we do? You’re all hurt.
An older vampire who is like an older sister to Leo. She is really secretive so her intentions are unknown.
(reminiscing regretfully) You know very well… once we get an order from the High Council we must carry it out. I’m sorry… there was nothing I could do.
Line 2 :
(formal) I’m sorry, Your Highness. There were a few complications… the girl didn’t die…
One of the most well-liked guys in the university. Recently returned from a year hiatus. Really nice, outgoing, and caring on the outside, but inside he’s really broody and made of steel. Doesn’t really care much for Isla at first.
(friendly) Hey, let’s go out on my treat, instead! (walking away) It was nice to see you, Isla.
Line 2:
(cold/ no empathy) Oh, does it hurt? It’s just the hand you used to hurt Isla. Should I break it? … Don’t ever appear in front of me again.Line 3 :
(endearing) I didn’t know that I’d grow to like someone...or how frustrating and scary it could be. I just wanted to be with you always. I thought that all I needed was you by my side.
Isla’s first love that was kidnapped and presumed dead. The only remains that were found of him were his heart. Mostly will appear in flashbacks until later on in the series.
(sadly) I lost my parents too… it’s strange.. But you wouldn’t believe me if I told you.
Line 2:
(confessing confidently) I-I-I like you Isla! I know it’s a little fast, and this might sound cliche, but I think we’re destined.Line 3:
(foreshadowing/dark) The time will come very soon…Her Highness is waiting.
Amélie is a loyal, friend of the High Council. She is completely emotionless, so if you are auditioning for her, please make sure your tone is cold, and emotionless, yet soft. If that makes sense.
Oh...(pause)He's dead.
I just do what I'm told. I never acquired such things as emotions. They will distract me from what needs to be done. This is how I feel. Blank. Numb. Nothing.
(a little pained) Sometimes...surviving is the worst kind of pain,
Serana is Leo's ex-girlfriend, and new room-mate of Violet and Isla. She's a very emotional character that likes to cry and act out alot.
(a little pained/sad) Even if you know what's coming, you're never prepared for how it feels.
(distressed) I'm...I..I'm sorry! I..knew that you needed me..but I needed more.
(assuring) It's okay. You can always pay me back later...(enthusiastically) with a trip to Ulta!
