Engagement (Audio Book)
Project Overview
This will be my second audio book that I will release. Just as the first I want it to be an audio experience, not just a blah blah blah read through. For those of you who audition, emerge yourself into the character, bring the character to life, add sound effects as needed! Those who are cast will be paid via cash app or paypal.
Summary:
Kaya, Amber, Jenny, and Tracie had been best friends for as long as they could remember. When tragedy strikes their group they embark on a journey of love, friendship, life and death to become the women they are destined to be.

Tracie; the naive “Gangsta” white girl. She had Curly brown hair, naturally very tan skin, brown eyes, and porn star lips. As if her face wasn’t pretty enough she sported a small waist, very big breast, hips, onion booty, and thick thighs, and naturally, all the Black guys loved her as well as she loved them.
Tracie had a rough upbringing, she grew up in the hood, with a mother who didnt exactly treat her well. Because of her upbringing she is hard, and guarded, she has NO filter and she is blunt and sometimes it causes conflict.. She is also very emotional towards the end of the book.
(Offended) "I wasnt tryin to hate, just lookin out for a bitch...anyways, I'm bout to go get some dick, girl, I'ma see you later." She blew a kiss and rolled up her window, answering her cell as she did it, "Hello?"
(Frantically crying) “Baby, I didn’t fuck him I swear. I talked to him for a bit, he said he liked me, I told him I was in a relationship, he said he didn’t care, I said I had to go…and I left. It wasn’t until I ran into my friend Trevor that I realized who I had even been talking to.
After washing my face and brushing my teeth I stared in the mirror. The woman staring back at me was not Tracie Goodman. She was a broken shell of what once was. I punched her in the face, she shattered. Blood ran down my hands. A shower will help, I thought…A shower will definitely help.
Kaya; the sassy, sexy Latina and Black girl, with long curly hair, juicy lips, a button nose, and gorgeous almond shaped green eyes with long curly eyelashes and a Salma Hayek body to die for.
Kaya is very loyal and very protective of her friends. She doesn't take shit from anyone, and she would kill for the ones she loves.
*Frantically rambling in spanish* (have fun my latinas!)
“HAY DIO I’m going to KILL Mario!!! He told me he handled it, that LYING bastard!” Kaya ranted as well this time. “What did he do to you!? You tell me everything so that when I kill his ass I enjoy it!”
“If only I didn’t have to get my friend home…” she whispered in his ear, grabbed his erection firmly, kissed him on the cheek and walked around to her side of the car. “Thank you so much Julio. I don’t know what I would’ve done without you.”
Amber is a sassy Italian with a strong Long Island NY accent. Amber; the extremely gorgeous preppy bitch, a purebred Italian Princess. She’d always had long thick black hair that hung down her back (that she occasionally dyed blonde), tan skin, blue eyes, and pouty lips.
Kaya dialed Amber, who answered extremely out of breath.
"Hey girl, I'm a little busy, I will call you back." She whispered something inaudible, moaned and hung up.
Amber wiped her tears, “Yes, I’m fine, just had a horrible flashback. Gosh what an emotional day! Is our period coming or something?”
She needs time to grieve Kaya, she was just brutally beaten and raped and she lost her daughter and the one person who could get through to her and understand her in a time like this is behind BARS! IRONY IS A BITCH!” Amber shouted pacing back and forth, her stilettos going clickety clack on the sidewalk.
Jenny was the quiet, shy, sweetheart, who was some mixture of Filipino, Black, and Indian. She’d been blessed with naturally long straight hair like silk that she'd recently cut into a semi short bob, light brown skin like cocoa, and big brown eyes like princess Jasmine in 'Aladdin'. Her real name Genayla, but she’d shortened it to Jenny some time in high school when it became cool to shorten your name.
Jenny is a proper, well spoken nerd. She is always in her books, always goal oriented, neat and focused.
"Hey girl! I'm with Justin right now, were going to the movies and dinner, before we leave in the morning."
“Well, firstly an enormous amount of homework! Secondly, Justin and I had a GREAT weekend at the conference. We made a bunch of really good connections.” Jenny had the sweetest, softest most proper voice ever.
(very worried) “May I interject here?” Jenny said leant up against a tree caressing her belly. “I don’t think she should be alone. We all know her; we all know how she reacts in situations like this. We need to go back.”
Dante has a deep soothing voice, he is loving and patient, but also can be aggressive if someone he loves is threatened.
"Wait, why babe? Where are you going? Please don’t leave; I don't sleep as good without you in my arms." He pouted; his heart clearly hurting because he knew she was pulling away.
"I understand Tracie, and if you want to pull away that's fine. I will miss you, and it will hurt me to lose you but, if it’s the best thing for you, and that’s what you want all I can do is respect your decision and support you." He held her face delicately in his hands as he spoke fighting tears himself. "I don’t want to let you go, but if that's what you want, I will have no other choice but to respect that." A tear fell from his eye disguised in the falling rain.
“Well, I know but…we need to talk….about everything that’s happened this past few weeks. The attack, our baby, your suicide attempt. Everything. Were you really just going to leave me like that!? Without even saying goodbye!? After everything we’ve been through?” He was hurt and he was angry and Tracie understood.
DeQuan is a flamboyant Dominican. He is straight but everyone thinks he's gay because of how flamboyant he is.
Hey girl wassup!?
“Baby be careful, and hurry home cuz I’m making your favorite for dinner. Tomales y Paella.” Dequan shouted from the door before returning back inside the house.
Antonio is a super buff Italian guy with a strong Italian NY accent.
. “Listen man. This is some really awful shit I’m about to tell you and its killing me to have to be the one to tell you. I just need you to try and keep it together. I’m here for you man.” Antonio paused as Dante sat up straight on the edge of his seat listening.
