Eidolons Vision is a sci-fi thriller about 17-year-old Rhett Kessho running from his past and moving to futuristic Dallas, along the way he makes friends, enemies, and uncover the secrets of the Illusionists, a cult worshipping a demon.

Rhett is a grouchy, short-tempered 17-year-old Pacific Islander-Canadian who has sharp tongue and a dark past. He keeps to himself and vents by breaking items he finds. Despite being a hothead, he’s very smart and knows his way around tactical situations. While often seen with bags under his eyes and a cup of coffee in hand, he tends to spend his time in coffee shops doing schoolwork or staring at the cute girl in class.
What I’m looking for in his voice: a drowsy but sarcastic medium pitch
(After being pulled out of class by Nath to warn him about something)
(Annoyed) “So you pull me out a class, which is probably not allowed, but not only that it’s a class I need to pass this damn year, just to tell me that?!”
(Introduction to class which is mostly filled with delinquents or nerds)
(Tired/Grouchy) “I’m Rhett….and welll…I’m tired…”
(He was walking home from school when someone tapped him on the shoulder)
(Annoyed) “Who the hell are you?”
Nathanial (Nath) is a quiet, but straightforward 17-year-old with Afro-Cuban Canadian roots, diagnosed with Autism at 4 and PTSD at 13. While he doesn't seem like an outspoken person, he is very protective of his friends and family. Born with a mark on his back, Nath is determined to find out what it means, even if it brings chaos to the city.
His voice is medium but shaky due to past trauma and how the situations are encountered.
(Nath had been watching Vee’s softball match)
(Riled up) “Yeah! Show them what you got Vee!”
(Nath and Asher were sitting at the dinner table)
(Shaky and tense) “Um, the thing I’ve been wanting to tell you is, I was thinking of joining the swim team…”
(Tense moment in science class between Alastair, Nath, and Storm)
(Calm) “So we’re…lab partners, this should go well- Alastair, don't eat that.”
Sarcastic and hot-tempered, Khione is an Afro-Nepali 17-year-old softball star who’s got a knack to be on the field. Although, despite her attitude, she can be shy around new people and mostly stays around her siblings when she gets anxious on rare occasions.
Her voice is rather deep for a female ranging from low medium to medium.
(After Nath made the comment while on the softball field) (This can also be said in Japanese)
(Annoyed) “Shut up, or I'll come over there and pierce this bat into your ass!”
(After hearing some remarks about her skin tone compared to her siblings)
(Sassy) “In case you aren’t aware, I’m adopted, but that doesn’t give you the excuse to compare how my siblings and I are different, say something like that again and I will take this ruler and shove it down your throat”
(Her and Callum were sitting under an oak tree after school)
(Calm) “Do you want to go get a coffee?”
A sarcastic but arrogant 17-year-old Italian who only knows how to speak sarcasm and pick fights. Despite being the middle child of his siblings, Callum can be defensive and cocky when it comes to situations. Either way, he’s easy to get along with once someone gets to know him.
His voice can range from medium to deep pitch sometimes switching from Italian to Japanese.
(After hearing Luther’s explanation about how kissing works to Sage)
(Annoyed) “Shut up Luther like you ever kissed a girl yourself”
(He was walking home when he heard a hiss and looked up to see Zayne and Khione hiding behind a tree ushering him over)
(Grouchy) “Oh good god what did our father do now?”
(He was working on his assignment when a couple of Freshman approached him)
(Bored) “If you’re looking for help the smart one is sitting over there”
Hot-headed and scarred from abuse, Luther is a German American 18-year-old who, like most of his friends, tends to be sarcastic and snarky, but uses it a lot less. Although, he is rather intelligent and tends to be tactical and observe from a distance.
His voice can be similar to Callum’s but, unlike him, Luther’s accent is barely noticeable.
(After getting into a heated argument with Callum in a sewer tunnel)
(Sarcastic) “Aren’t you the one that suggested we split up Vuillermoz?!”
(After explaining the plan to the others, he’s being asked by Tabitha if he was crazy)
(Sarcastic) “Well for your information, I turned out amazing thank you very much”
(After seeing Lylian have an anxiety attack and he calms her down)
(Calm/reassuring) “Sis, you’ll do fine ok, just.. don’t think that there is a boatload of people out there watching you dance and focus on the prize,”
Storm is a quiet and mysterious 17-year-old Laotian-Japanese male. He tends to keep to himself but also has dealt with pain from his granduncle and cousin throughout his life. Despite it, he never really wants to help others or even ask anyone for help because he is afraid of how they will react to someone like him.
Storm's pitch can be on a lower medium, but he does stutter quite a bit due to his trauma and abuse.
(After watching his granduncle rant for 5 minutes about not finding his medication)
(Tired) “Did you try the last cabinet on the left like they always were?”
(After watching Vee play some softball)
(Impressed) “She’s good..I wish I could throw like that without breaking my arm”
(He’s talking to his friend Charlie outside the school)
(Calm) “Do you want to meet at the cafe after you drop off your journalism project?”
Despite being born to Freyr, Zayne was raised by his uncle since he was only 1. He wasn't told why he was raised by his Uncle and it resulted in some bitterness towards his father. He has a bit of an attitude, which at first makes people uneasy with him.
His voice is similar to his adoptive siblings, deep but also medium.
(Zayne was going through the corridors when he saw Khione and Callum talking to each other)
(Calm) “So what are you guys thinking for dinner? I mean anything is fine I just don’t want the usual bickering of what we’re doing”
(He had punched Alastair who had been harassing Ravlyn about the subject of Brad)
(Angry) “Alastair, I understand that we’re cousins and all but, has anyone ever told the freak that you are to lay off of her?!”
(He had been walking home when he saw his adoptive brother and his uncles drag someone out of a bar)
(Unamused) “I’m not going to ask what you’re doing and what the hell is going on with this family”
Lylian is a shy 17-year-old Greek dancer who, despite her status and looks, is very friendly to others. She is also very smart in math and science and works hard to get A's in her classes, even if it’s making her the top student in her class a lot. Despite this, she wants to be loved by the right person in her life.
Her voice can range from highish to medium
(After hearing Elias explain why he’s a great dancer)
(Amused) “Elias I love you dearly as a friend, but shut up or I will slap you in the face with a cucumber sandwich”
(After walking in on Luther making a chart on how to win the heart of a girl he likes)
(Amused) “Did you seriously make a diagram on how to get a girl even though you have the social skills the size of an almond?”
(She was walking home with Luther and Elias, who was kicking a rock down the sidewalk)
(Annoyed) “Elias, are you going to keep kicking that rock down the street or do I need to shove it at your face to get you to stop,”
Wise and elegant, At 17-Years-Old Tabitha had grown up with an aristocratic family and already knew the ins and outs, despite that, however, she doesn't want to be like her egotistical parents and wanted to just have a normal life with her friends. Sadly, like every other rich girl, her parents tend to get in the way of that especially when you’re the heir to the family name.
(She was opening her car door when she saw a note on the front seat and read it)
(Annoyed) “first it was the midterms coming up, then my parents, and now Emery of all people wants to meet with me?”
(She was getting her coffee and turned around only to run into her friends in the Cafe)
(Surprised) “I see we all had the same idea, projects for history class I’m assuming?”
(Brad and Damian were on their knees begging to be partners with her)
(Calm) “Well, to remind you both, I work alone or with people I trust, don’t you two want to be partners or something?”
At 18-Years-old, Charlie was raised as an adopted sister of Emery and Elias. Diagnosed with Autism at age 4 and developed an anxiety disorder from personal scars, most particularly from her adoptive parents. She doesn't know who her biological parents are and sometimes wonders what they were like and why they left her alone.
(Charlie was talking with her brothers about school)
(Interested) “Emery you’re taking imaging technology right, What’s it like?”
(At the cafe with Storm working on their group project )
(Calm) “Is there anything you want to eat or drink Storm? If I remember correctly you are allergic to peanuts?”
(She kicked Alastair, who had been making fun of Rhett a few minutes before, in the head with her boots)
(Angry) “And don’t call me Charlotte you Crétin!”
As the oldest son, 17-year-old Emery had a lot of expectations Set by his parents. From taking care of his siblings to being the top student of the class, despite being tied with Lylian most of the time. He can be stubborn most of the time and tends to jump to conclusions to tense situations.
Medium pitch and sarcastic, Emery has quite a bit of Charisma from talking for him and his siblings.
(He’s introducing himself and his siblings to Rhett, who looked bored)
(Slight sarcasm) “Oh don’t worry we’re not the problem children of this city”
(While He and Asher were talking, the latter brought up his anger issues)
(Cocky) “At least I’m not as worse as Callum and Luther locked in the same room”
(He’s quietly reading in on of the sitting areas of the school when he heard a loud crash)
(Annoyed) “What the bloody l'enfer happened now?”
At 16 years of age, Elias has proven to be very smart and rather protective of his friends. However, he is a hothead that tends to speak without thinking and sometimes feels like he is overlooked by others. He has a tendency to overwork a lot and hates failure, especially in school or in front of his parents.
His voice is similar to Emery’s, but he has a more snarky tone unlike his brothers sarcastic one.
(He and his siblings are walking out of the school while it’s raining)
(Hopeful) “Emery, my dear idiotic brother, can I ride shotgun this time?”
(He’s sitting next to the tree listening to the sounds of the highway, reading a rather dark book of poems)
(Humming The Raven) “Only this and nothing more…”
(After hearing what Callum said in response to Luther’s plan)
(Unamused) “Callum you Crétin, what even is the point of what you said if it’s not about the plan?!”
Despite her adoptive father being Japanese as well as her, 17-year-old Ravlyn tends to blend in easily with people. However, she’s rather naive and has made a few mistakes that affected her. One of the things she likes to do is to be alone, or sit at the cafe thinking about new ways to work on projects, but what she wants is to feel like she belongs with people.
Her voice can be at a high medium pitch, but sometimes can be lower in tense situations
(After meeting her father at the school for the first time in two years)
(Calm) “You’ve….gotten older and probably not wiser father…”
(She was walking through a door when a bucket of water fell on her.)
(Angry) “Nathaniel! I’m going to kill you!”
(She’s sorting out paperwork with Yvonne in the office)
(Questioning/Sarcasm) “Why is almost every single nutjob in this school my cousin?”
Adopted when he was only a couple of months old, 16-year-old Max was raised by his uncle in central Dallas along with his cousin. Despite his upbringing, Max tends to be very insecure and has low self-esteem from his appearance and name.
His voice, like a few of the others, is at a higher medium pitch
(After getting his project assignment in history class)
(Confused) “My family history?…Besides what my uncle told me, I don’t think I know much about it”
(After approaching the group and throwing a basketball at Callums face)
(Snarky) “Well you should’ve came to practice like coach asked dimwit”
(He’s shouting at Brad, who had been taunting him, after he said his real name)
(Annoyed) “How many damn times have I told you it’s Max not Maxine!”
Raised by his extended family, 16-year-old Isaac has no memory of his parents or where he was born, despite being raised with his adoptive sister, Isaac can be stubborn and smart at taking care of business. However, he also has a talent that he doesn't like to talk about because he is insecure.
His voice tends to be at a higher medium level, it gets low when he’s angry.
(After getting complimented on his drawing by Tabitha)
(Sheepish) “You like my drawing? Um thanks, I never really got a compliment before”
(He was walking in the door of his home and put his bag down)
(Calm) “Dad! Sage! I’m home!”
(He was walking next to Jameson into the room and started watching Callum and Luther argue)
(Sarcastic) “You two argue like an old married couple”
At 16 years of age, Kaiden is one of the few descendants of the Comanche tribe. Despite being the quiet one of the group, Kaiden is the type of person that helps with tough situations and is willing to find the safest solutions if necessary.
Like most of the others, his voice tends to be at a medium pitch.
(Kaiden was walking to his car when he saw the black smoke clouds above)
(Intrigued) “Thats coming from the southwest, I wonder what caught on fire this time?”
(Kaiden was studying for a science test when Storm came into the library)
(Surprised) “Storm? I’ve never seen you in here much, what do you need?”
(He was watching the rain when the power to the building went out)
(Annoyed) “And there goes the power, that’s just great”
For 16 years Declan had been rather gifted at various subjects, although, his best subjects were Ecology and computer science. Other qualities of his are that he also is very caring towards others, understanding of their situation, and wants to help people who are troubled.
His voice tends to be at a deeper pitch, which gets him mistaken to be much older than he is
(Declan was doing his homework when he had come across a problem with loopholes)
(Confused) “Why am I getting different answers? Am I doing it wrong or am I using multiple formulas?”
(After bumping into Rhett, who seemed tired and looking at his phone, in the school’s upper corridors)
(Surprised) “Oh uh hey Rhett, are you lost?”
(He was looking for Asher in the school's field when he finally found him by the softball diamonds)
(Calm) “Hey Asher, sorry to interrupt but, can we talk in private real quick if that’s ok with you”
Despite his family being from Iceland, 16-year-old Jameson had no trouble fitting in. He tends to be the type of person who is willing to listen to problems his friends have and willing to help. Despite having the same qualities as other people, his style of help tends to be excessively creative
His voice can be rather deep
(He had stepped in front of Ryan who was being harassed by Greg)
(Angry) “Why don’t you go play with your cars since that’s the only thing your family is good at!”
(He was standing in the cafe with Liam and Ryan as he tapped his foot impatiently)
(Annoyed) “Liam, we have been here for five minutes, pick a bloody tea all ready!”
(He was sitting at a table during steady hall when he looked at Kaiden who was confused at a homework question)
(Concerned) “Are you sure you don’t need help with the homework?”
At just 15 years old, Ryan is the youngest of his friends. Diagnosed with Autism and ADHD at a young age, he sometimes has a hard time comprehending certain subjects, words, and even what's around him. But, that doesn’t stop him from making friends even though they’re older than him
His voice can be a medium pitch, sometimes squeaky when he’s scared or startled.
(He was sitting next to Liam and Jameson watching the softball game)
(Calm) “Hey um, I'm going to get some refreshments from the food truck, do you guys want anything?”
(He was staring at the sunset reflecting off of the glass skyscrapers when he snapped out of his thoughts)
(Startled) “oh um, sorry, I’ve just, never really seen a sunset look like that before”
(He was sitting on the sidewalk while it rained as he was staring at the water pound against the concrete”
(Dismal) “What significance do I even have with my friends? All I am is an autistic weirdo who doesn’t make sense to anyone”
Gifted and a wiz at science. Loch is the second youngest out of his friends at 15. Even though he skipped a grade and is caught up with his friend's curriculum and third in his class, his technological designs and experiments sometimes get a bit explosive, getting him in trouble with Yvonne.
His voice can be a higher medium, sometimes being scratchy
(He was alone in the science lab working on a new project)
(Curious) “So…what do I do with these? I mean I know they can’t be mixed with those and I have nowhere else to put them”
(He was walking down the school corridors with Zayne and Nath when Lylian walked by them)
(Sheepish) “Has Lylian always been that beautiful or is it just the hair color change or the fact that it’s probably just me I’m rambling too much aren’t I?”
(He was sitting on the school's bleachers getting ready to run a few laps)
(Calm) “Alright, I’ll run a few laps, run home, then meet the others for the thing, I better not forget anything”
A quiet but improvisational young man, Liam had grown up in an orphanage for most of his life but is very close to people. However, he hides a secret involving his own health. Picked up from the owner of the orphanage Liam speaks with an English accent and despite not being good at anything but charisma, Liam sometimes questions what purpose he has in this world.
His voice tends to be on the medium pitch level, it can range from medium to a lower medium mainly when he’s ranting
(After Jameson told him to hurry up on choosing the tea he wants to order)
(Serious) “Do not rush the importance of choosing the right tea for the right season or I will have Ryan watch me dump it on you,”
(As he was sitting in class, Liam was reading a book as Alastair made some remarks on Jameson’s hair)
(Annoyed) “Bloody hell can’t you shut up for once in your life Alastair we’re trying to work unlike you,”
(He was sitting with Tabitha in the silent library as they were working on the assignment for their art class)
(Calm) “What do you think about the new kid in our math class? I think his name is Rhett or something?”
Despite her heritage, Dominika moved to the United States with her mother and twin brother, when she was only 4 years old, for most of her life, she had wondered why they left and who her father was, after meeting her friends and losing someone close to her, she’s confident she can prove herself with her skills as well as find out her past.
Her voice is deep with her main accent, but it’s higher when she switches to an American accent.
(She was bickering with Luther, mostly about the homework and his plan)
(Snarky) “Well, at least I’m smarter at this than you, city boy”
(She was waiting for Luther and Callum at the end of the road near the intersection)
(Annoyed) “Come on you slow idiots hurry up we don’t got all evening!”
(She had slammed Brad against the wall, hearing the cracked skull)
(Angry) “Why in the hell did you think it was right to do what you did to him, why did you take his life away from my mother and I?!”
As the oldest Kessho, Leon had a lot of weight on his shoulders, from inheriting the family estate to raising his daughter in a sophisticated environment, despite that, his siblings keep him going and help him overcome the hardships of maintaining the family.
His voice is medium and calm, rarely temperamental and decides on his phrases before he speaks.
(He and his siblings had arrived to where the crew was gathered)
(Sarcastic) “Before we get into this, hello I’m problem child 1, that’s problem child 3 and the one over there is smartass, pleasure to make your acquaintance”
(After a loud bang, he stands there with a smoking gun as his uncle fell to the floor)
(Cold) “And that is for tearing my entire family apart”
(He’s sitting with his brothers drinking some tea as it was nothing but silence)
(Calm) “So I may have killed our uncle and burned the pharmacy to ash, making sure nothing was left of it then going out to buy Freyr some beer”
As the youngest but the smartest of the Kessho siblings, Harrison had no problem proving himself to his father and uncle, but half of the time his achievements were overshadowed by his cousins. However, he became a father at a young age after his father committed a crime.
(He is waiting impatiently at a traffic light while looking at his watch)
(Annoyed) “Come on, is this damn light thing broken again, I can’t miss her game”
(After the revelation of his fathers demise, he was trying to explain it to his siblings)
(Snarky) “Yes Leon that’s how I adopted Khione, now can you both shut up so I can explain the murder of our father”
(Harrison had been working at his office in silence when he heard a crash and went out to see his brothers and a broken vase)
(Annoyed) “This is why I enjoy working in peace and quiet, so I don’t have to deal with idiots like you both”
As the middle child, Ivan was an outcast of the 5 siblings. Despite being called the Heterochromic one by his father, he loves and cares for his family, most typically his siblings. He adopted Sage after tragedy struck her and cared for her like his own. However, he had dealt with anxiety and still does, even in adulthood, due to a dark secret he hides.
Due to neglect as a child, his voice is medium but shaky due to his lack of social skills
(He and his brothers were in the school causing a ruckus and trying to fix the water fountain when Yvonne came out)
(Sheepish) “Hi auntie how’s the weather this fine evening?”
(Ivan was standing in the hall of his home, staring at a drawing of him and his family that six-year-old Isaac had drawn and talked to himself)
(Calm) “I should’ve guess he got the art skills from your mother, huh Penelope?”
(After minutes of sitting with his siblings in silence, Ivan finally spoke up)
(Calm) “So, are we going to go visit the kids or what? We have nothing else to do”
Adopted into the Kessho house and the current patriarch, Taroshi is a powerful man who does what he wants or how he feels. His cold-hearted attitude terrifies people and very few can stand up to him and live to tell the tale. He is also a controlling person as well as a being condescending and very manipulative.
His voice is deep, gruff, and raspy, everything you’d want in a villain
(Taroshi was sitting in his office working on some paperwork when his medication kicked in)
(Angry) “Storm! You idiotic excuse for a grandnephew or whatever it’s called, get in here now!”
(He was working on some shipments in the back when he looked at an employee he hand picked)
(Calm) “Those shipments need to go to my darling daughter, they’re fragile so be careful to not break them”
(Taroshi was going through his mail when he saw a letter from his ex-wife about the child support money he owes her)
(Annoyed) “That woman I swear she’s going to be the end of me,”
Yvonne is the principal at the school and tends to be strict and straightforward, even with her troubled son. At work, she is strict, rule-following, and wants people to do well. However, she hides that her ex-husband shows up a lot at the school and he terrifies her to the point where she loses a lot of emotional energy when dealing with him.
When Yvonne is not as strict, she is like a mother figure to people who are close to her and she cares a lot for people.
Her voice tends to be stern but also calm around certain people.
(She was working on some paperwork for some students when her ex-husband burst through the door of the office)
(Annoyed) “Taroshi, for the last time, you still have to pay for child support, you still have custody, and you need to stop coming into campus”
(As it was nearing the end of the day, Yvonne was cleaning up her office and Alastair was talking to her from her chair)
(Tired) “Alastair, that’s more than enough, you need to be in class and I’m already tired since it was a long day of paperwork,”
(She was watching Asher and Nath working in her office when she noticed Nath looked tired)
(Worried) “Nath if you’re tired you don’t have to work and go home, I can handle the rest of tonight’s work for you”
Damian is a hot-headed teen and antagonistic. After intense research, He contains the knowledge to know some dark secrets about people, particularly his classmates and uses them to tear down their confidence. When challenged, he will do whatever it takes to break their spirit and even go over the line.
His voice is similar to his cousin Alastair but it can be higher when fearful.
(As he isbeing confronted by Kaiden in the school halls while transitioning to lunch)
(Annoyed) “Do you have a problem with me Kaiden? Or are you just bitter because of your parents dying in that car wreck”
(He hears that Greg won't be coming back to school because of a fight and hears he's in the hospital)
(startled) “Wh-wha...What do you mean that in the span of a day Greg got into a fight, got expelled and now he’s in the hospital???”
(Brad and Damian were standing in the corridor watching and jotting down how easily Elias is angered)
(calm) "I think we can go about this alone Brad, this is going to be a piece of cake."
Despite both his parents and his past being unknown, Brad acts like a tough guy and a bully. He can be very sauve with girls and loves to be enticing. However, he doesn't know how to keep a relationship. He is reckless, dangerous, and is one of the cruelest students known to the school.
He tends to be sassy, and cold-hearted when getting into someone and loves to use a person's dark past against them.
His voice is cold, sarcastic, and snarky, on a medium scale.
(He was walking through the city when he turned the corner and the bumped into someone”
(Startled) “Hey, Watch where you’re going you- oh…uncle Taroshi, what are you doing in this part of town?”
(He was sitting at the lunch table with his friends as he was looking at Ravlyn and blushed)
(Sheepish) “Ravlyn, is honestly a beautiful woman, I mean, I know I may not be that much of a romantic but, she’s good looking”
(After the encounter outside the school with Dominika, Brad was shaking in fear)
(Terrified but amazed) “That honestly was one angry woman, even though she’s terrifying and I may have killed her brother but can you even blame me?”
Alastair Kessho is a teen that is also a bully and terrorizes the school. He is calmer than most but uses knowledge to weaken. What is strange is that he doesn't always act like a bully but is more of a quiet person, making his actions towards others very unpredictable.
His pitch can be rather medium and snarky, which makes him say more than he could comprehend.
(Leaving his mother's office after an argument and punched the wall)
(Annoyed) "Why won't she lay off me once in awhile? I’m almost 18 I can take care of myself"
(Looking down the hall to see some of his crew knocked down by the new kid)
(Curious) "Hmm...someone that stands up for himself, and he’s new as well...that’s unusually rare"
(In a quiet classroom during history class where they were doing a reading in the textbook)
(cold)
"I can make things interesting with a flip of a coin, If Only Rhett knew about Beatrice's condition now, then he would go back to San Francisco where he belongs"
