In Tokyo's downtown district of Ikebukuro, amidst many strange rumors and warnings of anonymous gangs and dangerous occupants, one urban legend stands out above the rest—the existence of a headless "Black Rider" who is said to be seen driving a jet-black motorcycle through the city streets.
Mikado Ryuugamine has always longed for the excitement of the city life, and an invitation from a childhood friend convinces him to move to Tokyo. Witnessing the Black Rider on his first day in the city, his wishes already seem to have been granted. But as supernatural events begin to occur, ordinary citizens like himself, along with Ikebukuro's most colorful inhabitants, are mixed up in the commotion breaking out in their city.

Hello! Durarara is one of my absolute favorite anime so I thought it would be best for this to be my first ever fandub! Here's just a little bit of what I'm looking for:
1. Must have a decent mic with no background noise. I'm not looking an expensive mic, but at the very least something other than a computer/phone mic. Also, be sure all fans, TVs, or anything else that may cause noise is turned off for your audition.
2. Please be committed. If things go well, I plan to dub the entire first season of DRRR (24 episodes). If you do not believe you'll be able to stick around for the entirety of the project, then don't audition.
3. Must have a discord. All scripts and info on the project will be posted in the project's discord server.
4. Must submit lines on time. This is definitely the most important. Of course, life is always unexpected so if something does occur, please let me know. But if you fail to notify me ahead of time if you're going to be late with lines more than twice, I will be forced to remove you from the project and cast someone else.
5. I am not looking for exact voice impressions. Exact voice impressions are always nice but at the end of the day, I'd much rather you read your lines with emotion and portray your character well.
6. Please submit 2-3 takes of each line. This will help me see if you're fit for the role.
7. Be willing to watch Durarara if you have not done so already. I will be requesting that you watch the episode as you record your lines so you know exactly how the line should be said.
As of writing this, I already have the scripts written for the first 5 episodes and I have all the audio already edited for the first episode, only the lines are needed.
Everyone casted will also be voicing the extras on top of their given role(s) to save me from having to cast too many people.
Though it is by no means a necessity, please let me know if you have prior experience working on a fandub! I'm more than willing to cast good voice actors even if they don't have much experience, but it will be very helpful to me if they do!
NOTE: This casting call is for characters within the first 5 episodes. I will update in the future with more characters once we get there.
