*THIS PROJECT IS ON HIATUS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. I AM DEEPLY SORRY FOR THE LACK OF UPDATES*
This project is for an audio reading of an MLP fanfiction series by GaPJaxie. The series consists of six stories: Dressing Room, Deep Cover, Butter Up, Barnstormer, Pan Flash, and First Take. The series is an MLP alternate universe where My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic was a show within the MLP world and the Mane 6 were actors on the show.

You can audition for more than one role!
RULES
Please follow these instructions before auditioning:
- You must have a Discord contact. This is an easier to get in touch and talk to you all via group chat. If you don't have an account on Discord, make one please. Don't worry, it's free!
- Record from a good/high quality microphone. This is a MUST!
- Be sure no background noise or sticky mouth noises is present in the audio.
- Please provide more than one take of your lines. Even the mess-ups (for the blooper reel).
- Export your audio in MP3 format please.
- BE COMMITTED!!! Don't audition if you're just gonna drop out halfway through.
If you fail to meet these requirements, you will not be considered for the part.

The Narrator has the biggest role of the project since they have the most to read. Please don't read in a monotone, robotic tone.
Butter Up stood on the asphalt, her wings relaxed by her sides. In the distance, she could hear a train whistling, and she looked down the track in the direction of the sound. There was no trail of smoke—steam trains had been an anachronism when Butter Up was young—but the distinctive click-clack of the wheels on the rails hadn’t changed in a century. From her vantage point beside the depot, she watched the battered old diesel engine approach, tracking it with her eyes as it curved along its rails. She glanced at the loading docks, but they were empty, and the train didn’t slow down on approach. It blew through the little cargo station, boxcar after boxcar rushing past Butter Up’s vision. The train seemed to stretch on forever, and she could not see its end.
said a cheerful young mare before Butter Up even had time to lift her head. Raising her eyes from the floor, she saw a small podium in front of her, and behind it, a mare who fit the image from the sign nearly perfectly. She was tan instead of blue and wore glasses instead of a hair clip, but she was young, she was beautiful, she was fit, she was smiling, and she wore grey cutie shorts so tight they seemed a part of her coat pattern.
“Welcome to Hayseed’s Hayburgers!” proclaimed the sign nestled on its roof. The sign was written in hot pink, and an equally pink heart dotted the exclamation point. Above the writing was a less-than-tasteful drawing of a pegasus mare, wings upraised as she smiled brilliantly off into the distance. The artist had gone to some lengths to idealize her figure, emphasizing her powerful wing joints, full tail, and the tight cutie-shorts that held her flanks. Any surviving vestiges of subtlety were undone by the three bright spotlights that lit the sign from behind. Even in the middle of the day, it was eye-catching from thousands of yards in every direction. At night, it would practically be a hot pink aerial flare.
The Interview Pony only shows up in two stories of the entire series.

Star Power plays Twilight Sparkle on the popular TV show "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic".
“Sure. My name is Star Power. I’m seventeen years old, I’m from Baltimare, and I play Princess Twilight Sparkle on the hit TV series Friendship is Magic.”
“Well, I get it for the regular show. I mean, it’s a really foal-friendly program, but you’ve also got Butter Up on screen strutting her stuff. So...I get why there might be some older stallion viewers there. But I don’t understand this whole Equestria Girls craze. It’s like, cartoon apes? What’s up with that?”
“Not really, no. Sure, we tease sometimes, but that’s just in good fun. Like. When we were shooting Ponyville Confidential, there was this scene where I was reading off everypony’s secrets. And it was a really simple scene, but the humor just wasn’t landing. Like, I’m reading the lines, but nopony is laughing, and even the director is getting frustrated. So we’re between takes and the director says ‘Look, just make it funny,’ so I just burst out, ‘Fluttershy has tail extensions!’ And Butter Up turns beet red and slinks away, and the director just goes, ‘wait, were we rolling for that?’ and we were and just went with it. (laughs) It was hilarious.”
Deep Cover plays Applejack on the popular TV show "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic".
“Pick you up? What, ain’ your legs workin’?”
“Eyup. Mom and Dad both work and can’t really get away, so I’m all on my lonesome out here. Say, you didn’t happen to snag one of them oat bars they had around here earlier, did you? I’m cravin’ those things somethin’ fierce.”
“It’s like how in the game, I don’t have to put a piece somewhere for you to know I could, and that changes your strategy. Or with Applejack. Sure, she ain’t thinkin’ ‘I need to be nice to my family because they got a grip on my heart tighter’n a badger’s teeth.’ She’s thinkin’ she needs to be nice to her family because she loves them. But there’s a part of her that’s doin’ that math, and it influences her more than she’ll ever know or admit.”
Butter Up plays Fluttershy on the popular TV show "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic".
“I said I don’t like being manipulated!”
“It’s not about the money. It was a chance to get out of college debt free. With savings even. And I wouldn't have to work a job the last two years. But then the show blew up in Neighpon, and we got that Equus, and... I got offers for appearances. And other shows."
“Fine, you want to know what’s wrong!? “I used to have a life. I used to have friends! I had ponies who really cared about me! Now what do I have? An agent? The props ponies? And you losers of course. The spoiled child, the desperate career dud, the pill-popping basket case, and you, the psychopathic pathological liar. The only one of you who isn’t a worthless waste of space is Barnstormer, and the only advice I’m giving her is to run away as fast as she can! You see how that might upset me!?”
Barnstormer plays Rainbow Dash on the popular TV show "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic".
“Yeah, I know. I was thinking about it earlier, and I think I kind of messed up. Like, it’s not bad, it’s just kind of superficial, and if you include more context I’m not sure the argument actually holds water. Like, my comparison between middle-period concepts of martyrdom and classical Thessalonian pretty much ignored the cultural shift from helplessness in the face of natural forces to helplessness in the face of the divine, which is not a small change. So, the shallow analysis holds them at odds pretty well, but there may actually be a lot more cross-applicability there than I’d thought.”
“I’m not writing some fluffy tear-jerker bullshit about an uncle who died of cancer or something. I need to show I’m smart. I don’t want them thinking I’m another dumb-jock athletic scholarship.”
“Everything I’ve ever touched has turned to gold, you know? Little filly me wants to be cool? Boom, cutie mark for awesome with a side of jazz and I can buy alcohol underage. Teenage me goes, ‘Hey, flying is fun!’ Boom, two years later, pro-circuit. My agent calls and says, ‘Hey, you liked that Friendship is Magic show as a filly right?’ Boom, one year later, we’re all up on stage getting that Equus. Director asks if the whole cast can sing? Turn out I can! Night school won’t schedule the time I need? That’s fine, skip the classes, I’ll just take the exams. 4.0 GPA.”
Pan Flash plays Pinkie Pie on the popular TV show "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic".
“Oh my gosh! I’m sad you idiot, not suicidal!"
“I… my parents called to check in on me, and they’re having a great time. And everything is fine and nothing is wrong and I’m just being really dumb and emotional. But they said they were trying to get as much out of it as they could because it’s a ‘once in a lifetime’ thing and… I don’t know. It really upset me.”
“Meanwhile, First Take thinks she’s a divine gift and is angry that not everypony falls to their knees to acknowledge that fact. Star Power thinks she’s a divine gift but isn’t sure how to point that out without being snotty. And Deep Cover and Butter Up are both armored in moral righteousness and the absolute belief that they are the one sole point of wisdom and justice surrounded by us jerkwads. Am I, like, insulting you, or…”
First Take plays Rarity on the popular TV show "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic".
“You can… be an idiot if you’re nice, because who doesn’t like that sweet mare up the way? Or if you’re sharp, you can be a bitch, and ponies will put up with you because you’re competent. But dumb bitch is not a great combination. You… You might want to work on that.”
“You, on the other hand, are the most miserable type of loser. The kind who manages to be arrogant about the fact that they’ve never succeeded at anything and never will. You can sit there and judge us for being all superior, while you sit there comfortable in your mediocrity. You fuck up a scene, you still go home at four, sit down with your oh-so-loving family and bitch about how the director was mean to you. I fuck up a scene? I get to sleep in the attic. And you think you’re better than me?”
“No, I’m nasty to you because you’re a lazy, entitled, stupid whore and every time you vomit out your lines in front of the camera, you’re insulting my profession and insulting me. If you were merely talentless, that could be forgiven. A mare can’t help it if she’s born crippled. But you don’t even understand acting well enough to understand what you’re doing wrong.”
Amazon play Princess Celestia on "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic".
“My name is Amazon, I’m thirty-four, and I’m from Lijiang. Most ponies know me as Xena, but I also play Clobberella in Attack of the Beast Tamer, Batmare in Dark Horse Rises, and Unit JX-227 in My Life as a Killer Robot.”
“Huh? Oh, yes. I also play a lot of bit characters. Princess Celestia in FIM, Red Scare in Yet More Superheroes, Doctor Lancaster in Majority Report, etc. I’m also an extra in Game of Saddles, but that’s mostly a cameo gag.”
“Oh! The purple one! Right, sure. We’ve spoken a few times. She was just hanging around the prep room asking if I had any advice for a young actor. We talked about what it’s like to do your own stunts. I uh… I gave her a cupcake. Not really sure what you’re getting at here?”
Cany Floss plays Princess Cadance on "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic".
“It’s like, the studio thinks they own your body. Iget that they want the character to remain consistent, but come on. Gain weight? Contract violation! Cut your hair? Contract violation! I think they’d have probably written Princess Cadence out of the show entirely when I got pregnant, except the law says they can’t.”
“They decided, okay, actress is pregnant. So the character has to get pregnant. So Cadence and Shining are going to have a foal, sure. Except then they delayed the season by four months, so instead of shooting when I have a baby bump, we’re shooting when I’m approximately the size of a car. And I’m up there on stage, every day, trying to do the lines. And then do you know what happens? Yup! Right in the middle of the recording season. We’re lucky my water didn’t break in the studio!"
“Yeah. Sorry, I know I get carried away ranting about the studio, but you’re right, it is wonderful. And the director has been great about accommodating my schedule so I can care for her personally.”
Blue Shift used to play Princess Luna on "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic".
“I’m not really into acting anymore. Sometimes I’ll come in and do cameo appearances as Luna when they need her to say a few lines. But it’s not really a thing. I’m just not that great at it, and I always wanted to study physics, and you know? I’m happy with that choice.”
“Have you seen the kind of fanfiction that gets written about that show? No matter how much we change our email or mailing addresses, we just keep getting it. I have a recycling bin specifically for all the creepy shapeshifter torture porn fans send me. It’s awful.”
“Well, I mean, morally awful. Some of the porn is actually pretty good.”
Meta Humor plays Discord on "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic".
“If Discord is CGI in this universe, and I voice him, then aren’t I just the voice actor for Discord? Wouldn’t that just be John DeLancie? Like, in real life?”
Waitress Pony #1 is the hostess that greets Butter Up in the restaurant in the story "Butter Up".
“Hello, ma’am!”
“Are you looking for somepony?”
Waitress Pony #2 is the mare who takes Butter Up's and Deep Cover's order in the story "Butter Up".
“Hey, Deep Cover. Who’s your friend?”
“Alright! I’ll leave you be then. I’ll be back with your drinks in a jiffy.”
“Here you go! One Diet Brash, one water, and your bowl of oats. Food will be right out.”
