Project Description
I am working on a Dragon Age: Origins movie/TV series for my YouTube channel. Basically editing all the story bits (cutscenes, dialogues, story relevant battles) into a cinematic format so people can enjoy the story without any fluff. Since the main character is not voiced, I am looking for someone who can voice him. My main character is a human male noble origin. His personality is mixture of good guy with some bad boy attitude. He is charismatic, confident, cocky, heroic, aggressive, ruthless. Since he was born a lord, he also comes with some class & nobility.
The series will come with approximately 25 to 30 episodes (I have half edited so far) including both main story + Awakening & Witch Hunt DLCs. Each episode contains around 100 lines of dialogue for the main character. So the total will be around 2500-3000 lines. PLEASE only audition if you are willing to commit to doing the entire project in the next 2-3 months. I really do not wish to change voice actor midway.

Payment
For the entire project, I'm willing to pay around $60 for it. I know it's not much for 2500-3000 lines of dialogues. Or maybe it's very little since this is the first time I'm hiring a voice actor. But with YouTube you just never know if the videos will do well or not. I also plan to promote the videos through Instagram & YouTube ads so in the end I will most likely not make any money myself unless the series goes absolutely viral. So mainly the rewards I'm getting from this project will be to gain awareness for my channel.
I will pay $10 for every 5 episodes (around 500 lines) recorded. Payment will be sent through PayPal so you will need to have a PayPal account.
Credit
I will credit you at the end of every video and in the description of every video. I can include a link to your profile or website if you have one. At first I will be posting the entire series on my own YouTube channel (with 21,000 subs currently). Once all episodes are up on my channel, I may then post a full movie edition on my friend's channel with 1.5 million subs. In which case you should get a lot more exposure. However, it is not 100% that I'll be posting it on his channel yet due to exclusivity. I may want to keep the project exclusive on my own channel so more people will watch the series on my channel.
Requirements
- Willing to COMMIT to finish the entire project with 2500-3000 lines of dialogue. Also be willing to take out time for the next 2-3 months to work on this project.
- Have quality recording devices (At least a Blue Snowball or Yeti) and no background noises. Since your voice will be put right next to other professional voice actors from the game, if the audio is not of high quality, then the difference will be too easy to tell.
- For the voice file, you can record in either WAV or MP3 format. You can also record all the lines into 1 file per session because I'll have to cut it up and time them to the video anyway. But please keep it to around 3 takes per line.
- Not necessarily a requirement but ideally you have played Dragon Age games before so you know how to pronounce some of the unique terms from the game.
Deadline
Even though I put 7/15 as the deadline, that's really the deadline for Episode 1 only (around 100 lines). I plan to release Episode 1 on 7/19 Friday so I'll need the lines by 7/15 so I have time to edit it in. Starting 7/19, I will be releasing one new episode per week. So you could record around 100 lines a week and send them to me several days before Friday. Ideally, I hope you can record multiple episodes at once so we don't have to rush week by week though. And if this schedule is too tight, I may push back the release date a bit further. So really, this project should take around 2-3 months to complete.
