Doki Doki Literature Club Plus Fandub
Project Overview
THIS PROJECT CONAINS MAJOR SPOILERS FOR THE ENTIRE GAME OF DOKI DOKI LITERATURE CLUB
A simple project to dub over all the side stories. Depending on the reception to the project [posted to YT] I'm considering completing a fandub of the whole game, although this is a vision for the future.
Conditions:
-MUST be 14+
-You must be able to discuss the sensitive topics throughout ddlc
-Do not apply effects to your audition [glitches etc] I want to hear YOU
-Must have decent mic and audio quality
-Must be able to respond to deadlines in a timely mannor
-Discord is a necessity.

Sayori is the childhood friend of the protagonist. She is bubbly, cheery and very clumsy. She is shown to be a jokingly cunning individual who can easily trick other to get food. It is later revealed that she suffers from bad depression and works hard to make the people around her happy.
I don't have a particular vision in mind for Sayori's voice however something that can sound warm and friendly but also meaningful and tear-jerking would be a perfect fit for her.

Anyway! This is Natsuki, always full of energy. And this is Yuri, the smartest in the club! And it sounds like you already know Monika, is that right?
I like happy the most, but sometimes when you have a little raincloud in your head, a sad poem can help give the raincloud a little hug and make a nice happy rainbow!
It’s bittersweet, when people try to care about me. Sometimes it feels nice. But it also feels like a bat being swung against my head. Ahaha~ That’s why I wanted so badly for you to make friends with everyone else. Helping everyone be happy together is the best thing for me. But then, I discovered something else too. Seeing you make friends and get closer with everyone in the club... It feels like a spear going through my heart. So that’s why. That’s why I decided the world just wants to torture me. Every path leads to nothing but hurt. Ahaha~
Yuri is a shy, generous, polite, apologetic, intelligent, mature and eloquent girl. She's passionate about her interests however she is very insecure and awkward. She has a deep desire to be liked by others and is afraid to speak her mind when she believes her opinion would make her unlikable. Later on she becomes obsessive and intrusive, no longer caring what the others think as long as the protagonist still likes her.
I don't have a set vision in mind for Yuri's voice however something soothing that could show her subtle emotions would work amazingly.

Isn't it amazing how a writer can so deliberately take advantage of your own lack of imagination to completely throw you for a loop?
(Arguing with Natsuki) Taking out your own insecurities on others like that...You really act as young as you look, Natsuki.
I'm...I'm madly in love with you! It feels like every inch of my body...every drop of blood in me...is screaming your name. I don't care what the consequences are anymore! I don't care is Monika is listening! Please...Just know how much I love you. I just want to pull your skin open and crawl inside of you. I want you all to myself. And I will be only yours. Doesn't that sound perfect? Tell me. Tell me you want to be my lover. Do you accept my confession? [pause] [growing intensity] Ahahaha. Ahahahahaha! Ahahahahahahahahaha! AHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHA!
Natsuki appears to be a brash, blunt, cranky and arrogant girl at first with a cute, soft interior as a result of insecurity. While she is impulsive and can speak without thinking, she truly cares about her friends. Even though she has obvious anger issues, she doesn't enjoy fights or arguments. She is very stubborn and has a hard time expressing how she feels and what she wants. When challenged she often becomes awkward, tongue-tied, aggressive and then simply bursts into tears.
Natsuki should have a tsundere like voice with the ability to sound kind and friendly. Something in the mid to high range should work for her.

[Two scenarios]
(Arguing with Yuri) I wasn't the one whose boobs magically grew a size bigger as soon as he started showing up!!
(Arguing with Yuri) [More aggressive] Woah, be careful or you might cut yourself on that edge, Yuri. Oh, my bad- You already do, don't you?
I changed my mind. Ignore everything you just read. There's no point in trying to do anything. It's Yuri's own fault she's so unlikable. Can you hear me? If you would spend more time with Monika, all these problems would just go away. Yuri and I are too messed up for someone as wonderful as you. Just think of Monika from now on. Just Monika. Just Monika. Just Monika.
[Flustered] W-Why are you thanking me? It's not like I...! …Made them for you or anything.
Monika is smart and confident but not as talkative as the other girls (by choice). She is always calm, mature and hard-working. To begin with she is a considerate and kind person who always thinks about other people however it is revealed that she had an epiphany where she realized she was in a game. Her resentment for not being able to have an ending with the protagonist caused her to manipulate the game slight, accidently breaking the codes of the other characters. In the second act she becomes more obviously possessive and manipulative in her attempts to make the protagonist love her.
Monika already has a canon voice however you can use it as a guide. Something sweet and friendly that can also be very blunt and annoyed will be perfect for her.
As president of the Literature Club, it's my duty to make the club fun and exciting for everyone!
You should take a little responsibility for her! I mean, especially after your exchange with her yesterday...you kind of left her hanging this morning, you know?
What's happening? What's happening to me? It hurts-- It hurts...so much. Help me. Please hurry and help me. HELP ME!! Did you do this to me? DID YOU? DID YOU DELETE ME?...how could you? How could you do this to me? You were all I had left... I sacrificed everything for us to be together. Everything. I loved you do much. I trusted you. Do you just want to torture me? Watch me suffer? Were you only pretending to be kind, just to hurt me even more? I never thought anyone could be horrible as you are. You win, okay? You win. You killed everyone. I hope you're happy. There's nothing left now. You can stop playing. Go find some other people to torture. You completely, truly make me sick. Goodbye.
Go wild with what voice you want. (If we do a series of the main story you may be considered for the role of the protagonist)
Male, Female and Androgynous voices appreciated- We will still use He/Him pronouns as we cannot edit the visual text however this feeds into Monika's speech at the end where she is talking to the player rather than the protag. Anyway give it your best shot :D
Monika is the only member of the Literature Club. In the days that have passed, all of her efforts to recruit new members have been fruitless.
Monika laughs. Although Sayori is very different from her, Monika feels her spirits lifted. Maybe it's just becasue she finally found another club member. But...
A day passes, and the time comes for the Literature Club- Monika and Sayori- to reconvene. As president, Monika ensures that she's the first to arrive to the clubroom. But she finds herself waiting longer than expected for Sayori. [Puase] Suddenly, Sayori comes bouncing through the door.
