Do No Evil
Project Overview
Hello there! This is my first time using this website, so bare with me. "Do No Evil" is an upcoming interactive web series, featuring illustrated/sometimes animated videos with voice acting on top. In addition to this, "Do No Evil" will feature a companion twitter, where fans can "interact" with the characters and participate in polls that will dictate where the story will go. I will be needing a variety of voices for this project, and anyone is encouraged to try out for any role they feel comfortable with.
"Do No Evil" is about a group of people trying to unlock the mysteries of strange invisible creatures, giant gods, and one very freaky cult. The genre is a mishmash of horror, urban fantasy, and drama with a little dash of romance and a sprinkle of surrealism.
Before auditioning for this part, you must be comfortable with the following subject matter: murder, heavy violence, strong language, smoking/drugs, cult activities, and romance (specifically of the LGBT flavor, for the most part.)

Amelia's voice is higher pitched but not squeaky, and assertive. Amelia is a gutsy, sometimes mean, and sometimes adventurous young woman with a thing for fire.
“...Oh, well that’s just fucking great! Now on top of invisible monsters, there’s a giant two headed wolf out to kill us!” (Angry)
“Hey.... I think everything’s going to be ok. After all, we have each other right?” (Quiet, more tender/concerned)
“[chuckle] Well, I still have a few tricks up my sleeve I guess! Anyone fancy a little bit of napalm?” (Mischievous)
Ash's voice is rougher, gravely and yet quiet. He drips with false kindness that betrays something much darker underneath.
“Now, don’t you worry your pretty little head, my dear. Although I do suggest you mind the blood on the floor.” (Sinister, yet calm. Not overly happy sounding, but just a bit cheerful.)
“Hey, back off!” (Angry)
“...I just… I don’t know what to do from here. The world is falling apart around us, and we’re all powerless to stop it.” (Upset/melancholic)
Barky's voice has a smooth, mellow quality to it. She speaks with a bit of a drawl. She is paranoid and defensive, yet quick to help those in need.
“Good god, would somebody PLEASE turn that racket down? Some of us are trying to sleep, it’s been a damn long day!” (Annoyed)
“Hey, who the fuck are you?! Wait a minute, get back here!” (Surprised)
“I think… Maybe we should try to work together from now on. There’s too much fighting already as it is…” (Quiet/thoughtful)
Note: Chantz is genderfluid, so any voice is fair game here.
Chantz's voice is peppy and slightly sing-song. He has a bit of a violent streak.
“[Laughter] Well, isn’t this a lovely old surprise! You got me.” (Cheerful)
“A-alright, whatever you say… I guess… Just don’t do anything too drastic, please.” (Wavering, slightly scared)
“[Coughing] You can’t get rid of me that easily, right? Right. It’s just like one of those Japanese anime things, where you think the hero is all but dead and then he rises to his feet again. Except I don’t think I’m the hero in this one…” (Weak, trying to be cheerful but obviously pained)
Church's voice is quiet, even, and confident. He's a natural leader, although most don't guess that at first glance.
“Woah, woah woah! Everyone simmer down! We don’t need to go chopping heads off over this, this isn’t a witch hunt!” (Startled/desperate)
“...Everyone feels like that sometimes. It’s all in how you come back from it that matters. Sometimes I ask myself, who am I? What’s the point of anything? But I guess none of that really matters…” (Thoughtful)
“W-w-what the hell ARE those things?!” (Frightened)
Emmett's voice is quiet, very soft and gentle. He often sounds somewhat hesitant. He has a kind heart, and likes to look after other people.
“He’s right! Going after each other isn’t going to help in this situation, what do you want?! To be like one of them?!” (Upset, speaking up)
“You’re just… Not the same. Where did that person I grew up with go? You used to be so full of life, and now you’re so jaded to everything…” (Sad)
“Hey, what’s wrong? You can talk to me if you want, I know not everybody here is exactly… Ahem. The sentimental sort…” (Soft/caring)
Hypocrates' voice is raspy and uneven, and you can definitely tell he's been smoking for a very long time. He's rather awkward, and also rather melancholic.
“Didn’t they tell you that? Jesus, why do I have to be the one in charge here? Who in their right mind thought THAT was a good plan?!” (Annoyed)
“This is kind of like… Coming out of nowhere, man. It’s actually uhh kind of creepy…” (Nervous/awkward)
“And what the hell am I supposed to do about that, huh?! I didn’t ask for this, I didn’t ask for any of this!” (Angry/very emotional)
Ingrym is the uncannily happy and peppy older teen cultist with an unquenchable blood lust.
“[Laughter] Well, that’s just downright groovy my friends! The bee’s knees, even!” (Cheery)
“Ohohoho, you think you can just come in here, huh? You’ve just gotta chill, my mellows! Settle down and relax, we’re going on a ride!” (Excited)
“What the fuck are you doing?! Get back here, you pathetic excuse for a human! I swear to god when I get my hands on you you’re going to wish the gods never made you!” (Angry, much darker than previous lines, sinister)
Pleasant's voice is very smooth, slightly low and quiet. He's a little difficult to read, and is something of an enigma.
“Ugh… Alright, I guess. Stay the night.” (Exasperated)
“Hey, are you alright….? I’m sorry, really. I… I never should have done that!” (Upset, about to cry)
“This is it, brother of mine. After all this time, now you can finally feel how I felt… Ah, revenge is one hell of a drug.” (Dark, threatening)
Poppy's voice is raspy, and on the higher end as far as pitch goes. She's a hitwoman with a heart of gold.
Note: creativity is encouraged with her accent! Although a lot of her dialect is "Scottish," I imagine her accent as ranging from Socttish to cockney to southern.
“Oi! Just where do ye think yer goin’, ye wee runt?! I’ll have the lot of yer skinned and hung up by your underpants, so help me..!” (Exasperated)
“Alright now, lads n’ lassies. I suggest ye hold on tight to your asses.” (Somber)
“Aye, love. Can’t imagine life without ye now. Twas a rough’un out there, all the fightin’ and the screamin’ and the blood…” (Sweet, but fading into something darker as she remembers)
Wylie's voice is even and very monotone, although he lapses into terrible stuttering when very emotional or frightened. His cold, calculating exterior is not quite the real deal.
“Ah, I would strongly discourage you from doing that.” (Emotionless)
“Truth be told, I’m not sure where we’re all heading, what we’re trying to achieve… I guess that could be said for all of us, but it keeps me up at night sometimes…” (Pensive)
“P-p-p-please… Please, quit it. N-no more…” (The best way I can describe this one is “just got the shit kicked out of him and is barely hanging in there”)
