Most of you probably have heard of Digimon. It was always one of my favorite shows as a kid and the English dubs were pretty good overall. This show doesn't exactly follow the same world as the original Digimon iterations, but it's still a very interesting concept overall with a lot of the familiar things from the Digimon franchise. Like: goggles, quirky characters, great music, cool transformation scenes, cute and funny Digimon, etc. The story takes place in 2045 Japan. Everyone is so used to using Apps for almost everything. In the Digital World there are things known as App Monsters who can control various apps. However, an evil AI is attempting to control not just the Digital World but the real world as well. One Appmon with great search capabilities named Gatchmon is searching for the hero to help defeat this evil AI. He finds Haru, a typical middle school boy who dreams he could be a real protagonist like in the stories he reads, and together they team up to help free other Appmon infected by the L-Virus.
The reason I want to do this project is I've always loved the Digimon franchise and I want to get more practice with both ADR/dubbing and directing. This is just a fun project where I hope people of similar interests can work together to improve their skills in a fun and friendly environment. When auditioning please consider the following:
-Good quality microphone with little to no background noise.
-Give it a lot of energy and character! These characters are over the top most of the time. I'd rather you go all out and have to bring you down than need to ask for more.
-Do 1-3 takes for each line.
-Have fun!
Check out the characters below and feel free to audition for as many as you feel you can do well! Also, there are still like 6 more main characters along with other supporting characters that are introduced in the coming episodes so there’s plenty of voices that will be needed-this doesn’t even include all of the different Appmon character voices that will be needed as well.
Cat-like creature who becomes the partner of Haru Shinkai. He has a spunky character voice. He’s very energetic all the time.
You doubt my searches? You’re Haru Shinkai, age 13! Hobbies: Reading. You’re self-conscious about feeling like a side character, and you want to be a protagonist instead!
*Painful scream*
[Struggling] I know you have it, Haru. Some reason to become my buddy and fight… A desire to protect someone! If you didn’t, my search wouldn’t have matched you!

I have the music for the show just need sounds and someone who is good at making/finding the right sounds. There will be a Sound Script so the only hard part is getting appropriate sounds for each cue.

I guess if I had to choose to be a protagonist or side character, I’d be more on the protag side. *Laugh* I’m just kidding. But, here’s what I think…
Hey, don’t let it get to you. We don’t see you any differently. Soon enough, no one will even remember that picture.
Haru! You seem pretty pleased with yourself.
Haru’s crush. She has a high-pitched cutesy, soft voice.
[As she is cheering Yujin on while playing soccer she sees Haru walking toward the field] Huh? Haru! You’re here, too?
[On the verge of tears due to an embarrassing picture of her being leaked to the public] Uh! Wh-Why… The pic from when I got my bangs cut too short… Why?
*Giggle* Haru!
Works for the evil AI, Leviathan. He is capable of seeing through any camera. His goal is to destroy Haru’s App Drive device so that Leviathan can control all apps and eventually the whole world. He has a cool deeper voice.
Leviathan. The App Drive has been given to a little boy.
Understood.
Got you. *Short evil laugh*
A messenger Appmon that gets infected by the L-Virus and starts leaking people’s embarrassing secrets and moments on social media. He has three personas based on his three emojis, but mostly the prankster and angry emoji.
*Three different voiced/pitched mischievous laughs*
[As blue sad face] I’m sorry, but I won’t let you search about me!
[As red angry face] Shut up! I’m gonna crush you!
[As green smiley face] But he’s been stumbling around this whole time! *Laughter* Totes side character! *Laughter*
A character who is constantly inconvenienced by Appmon. He is one of those comedic recurring characters that always has something bad happening to him so ham him up.

Explains about Gatchmon briefly (possibly same voice as News Anchorman). I’m looking for something either high energy or quirky (or both) for the narrator, so not a typical narrator voice.
