Deltarune (Chapter 2) The Musical
Project Overview
Welcome to Deltarune (Chapter 2) The Musical! A webseries musical adaptation of Deltarune Chapter 2 made by fans, for fans!
We're producing a full musical based on the game, released as individual songs and one final video, containing the whole performance from start-to-finish!
What we're looking for are:
1. Singers/Voice Actors to portray the characters in the musical
You'll be asked to sing your provided parts in each song you appear and read from scripts for the moments between numbers. Some of these characters have quite a bit of history to them, so it's recommended that you're familiar with the game before you audition, but this is not a requirement.
You will need a decent microphone that picks up your voice with little to no background noise. If fast singing is required it will be noted under the role.
All skill levels are welcome!
2. Illustration Artists
We want to replace certain scenes in the game with illustrations to better convey certain emotions or just to provide a more cinematic experience overall.
Concept sketches will be provided to show you the basic idea for a specific drawing.
It is asked that you have either a Discord account or an email address, as these will be the most convenient ways to communicate should you get accepted for a role. You do not need to provide these details until you are accepted.
If you have a demo reel, feel free to audition using that instead of or in addition to the audition lines.
You may include up to 3 takes per line, put at least one take of each line is required.
Feel free to audition for multiple characters if you wish, but this does not guarantee you'll be selected for multiple parts.
If a character is not present, they fall into one of the following categories:
1. Already cast.
2. Will be cast at a later date.
3. Will not appear in the musical

Susie is a self-loathing high school student that has convinced herself that everyone hates her. Due to this, she formed a defense mechanism of hating everyone else in return. As the school bully, she's very rude, intimidating, and aggressive towards her peers and even her teacher. However, once trapped in the Dark World with Kris, she starts to form an unlikely friendship with them and as a result, begins to mellow out and see the error of her ways, and possibly even starts to gain a more positive opinion of herself.
Her voice should sound young, but deep and raspy. She's always putting up a front and acting scary to hide her true feelings. She should be able to sound genuinely frightening and intimidating at times, while still being able to goof off with her friends at other times.
She acts as one of the main protagonists.

Ralsei is the gentle and kind prince of the Grand Fountain. He's very humble, and thrives to be kind to anyone and everyone, even his enemies. He's a pacifist to the core and, somewhat naively, believes that there's good in everyone, and wholeheartedly believes fighting is unnecessary. He enjoys baking and making things for his friends, who he values over most other things.
His voice should sound soft, gentle, and full of joy. He may be on a journey that decides the fate of multiple worlds but he's also spending time with his friends, and for that he's more thankful than anything!

Susie... This is something that I can't heal.
The villain and main antagonist of the musical, Queen (Also known as Serial Number Q5U4EX7YY2E9N) is the human personification of the internet. She's taken it upon herself to spread the reaches of her reign into the Light World in order to control the world. Her voice should sound very regal and proper, yet she speaks in a monotone and very consistent speech pattern. She should be able to sound either friendly and oblivious or serious and intimidating.

Noelle is a kind, timid young girl who, despite remaining cheerful, is scared of pretty much everything around her, including her peers. The only people she really feels comfortable to be herself around are her bedridden father and Kris. She was sent into the Dark World unwillingly and wrapped up in Queen's quest for world domination. Her voice should sound quiet and timid, only being raised when she's forcing it or in a rare moment of confidence. She often stutters over her words when she's nervous.
She acts as one of the main protagonists, alongside Kris, Susie, and Ralsei, and helps them on their journey to the Dark Fountain.

Berdly is a nerdy teacher's pet with a bit of a superiority complex. He's generally well-meaning, but usually allows his incredibly large ego to get the better of him. His voice should sound youthful, and intelligent, with a bir of a cocky undertone. Almost as if he's constantly playing himself up. However, once things get serious, he drops the facade and shows his true nature.
He acts as a secondary antagonist, but more so out of ignorance than any actual malicious intent.

Sweet is a member of the hip-hop band/rebel group Sweet Cap'n Cakes. He's the youngest member and the most energetic one. Despite not needing to, he's always trying to prove himself to the other two. He looks up to K_K.
He should have a higher pitched voice and sound like he's always going on an adventure, almost like an anime protagonist or someone from a kid's yogurt commercial.

Cap'n is the leader(?) of the hip-hop band/rebel group: Sweet Cap'n Cakes. Compared to the other two members, he's quite the suave smooth-talker, and a bit of a lady's man. Or at least that's what he thinks. He never wastes time getting his flirt on whenever a "beautiful mademoiselle" enters the room, usually to less than desired results. He looks up to K_K.
He should speak with a Brooklyn accent and have a bit of a deeper, yet still youthful voice

K_K is one of the three members of hip-hop band/rebel group Sweet Cap'n Cakes. Despite being 'The silly one," he's fairly low-energy. He likes doing silly dances and playing music from his built-in cd player. He looks up to Sweet and Cap'n.
His voice should sound like a very monotone happiness and he should speak in a matter-of-fact way, without much inflection outside of singing. Pitch should be mid-range.
K_K
I like dancing.

Lancer is the young Prince of Spades. He's very goofy and childish, but has decided that he's a big and scary villain, even if he'd rather be friends with the heroes than actual enemies. His interests include riding flaming bicycles, digging holes, and making Rouxls listen to his mixtapes. His voice should sound very bouncy and childish. He should sound like he's always having some kind of fun, right up until he starts to realize the gravity of the situations he's found himself in, and perhaps things are a bit more serious that just fun with friends.

Rouxls Kaard (Pronounced 'Rules Card') is a highly incompetent royal advisory/babysitter. He is constantly flocking towards the nearest evil ruler to serve as their right hand man, even if they often weren't even informed of this arrangement. His loyalty is unwavering until a newr, more evil overlord appears that he can serve. He speaks with a very poor Shakespearean accent, and tries to make himself sound grand at every turn.
He acts as a very minor antagonist, usually only posing as a slight annoyance to the heroes rather than an actual threat.

The Swatchlings are Queen's loyal servants and butlers. They are very stoic and refined, and little can make them break their professional demeanor. They have a tendency to become slightly annoyed by the nonsense that occurs in the Cyber World, but have only the utmost respect for Queen.
Their voices should sound very proper, dignified, and refined. Even when upset they should sound calm and collected, almost to a fault.
Multiple applicants may be chosen for this role.

The Original Starwalker is a very annoyed star who is upset that the Starwalker Birds stole his name. He is arguably the most powerful being in the universe. His voice should be very deep, the typical "Cool guy" sound. He should always sound eternally ticked off.

King of Spades is the tyrannical ruler of the Card Kingdom and father to Lancer. After just a single interaction with the Roaring Knight, he went mad, declaring war on the Lightners. His hatred has grown so deep-rooted that he would even threaten to drop his own son off of a building to manipulate his enemies into doing what he wants.
His voice should be deep, and booming. It should demand respect, and strike fear into those who hear it. He should sound eternally upset with the cards he's been dealt in life.

Toriel is the adoptive mother of Kris, and a kindergarten teacher at the local school. She's very kind, loving, and intelligent, with a bit of a playful side.
Her voice should sound almost overwhelmingly warm, comforting and motherly. As if she could ease any of your worries with nothing but a few words.

We're looking for three or four artists to help create illustrations to display in the videos. These will be used to give scenes a more detailed or cinematic feeling compared to what's presented in the game.
Some of these may include many characters.
You will be provided with basic sketches of what's expected from a specific illustration.
