Death Note Abridged: Episode 1
Project Overview
Welcome to the casting call for episode 1 of my Death Note Abridged series. We're in need of some extra voice actors to help fill up the remaining characters without a voice for episode 1 specifically. Please note there are other key characters that have not been listed yet due to the fact we have not gotten to the point of the story where they are present. However from episode 2 and beyond, expect every character to be more prominent. If you're familiar with Death Note and would like to audition for any of the characters listed below, please follow me on CC to be notified when I create the casting call.

(Please note that there are other characters in later episodes without a voice. However, we have not planned that far ahead and as such would like to not commit at this time.)
For the characters that are listed below, please read each character's description carefully and do the best to your abilities. This project will strive for quality so please only audition if you have a good clean microphone with next to no background noise. XLR mics are preferred but if you know what you're doing, blue yetis can sound fine.

Changing the deadline
There have been some great auditions, however I'd like to finish this first episode as soon as possible. Due to there being some good candidates, I'm changing the deadline to this Friday 6/9/23.

First character cast!
Alright everyone, I've noticed a lot of people have auditioned for Matsuda. I'm grateful for every audition, however at this point I believe I have my ideal Matsuda and would much rather put more spot light on the other two characters. I know the deadline may say the 14th of June, however I'm looking to cast people before that. This first episode is merely a pilot and I want to get it out fast to see if its worth continuing! And remember everyone! Good quality recordings are a must! They significantly increase your chances of being cast!

The person who can give me the best J.K. Simmons impression will likely get this role.

Matsuda is your typical rookie cop. He's inexperienced, he's weak and he fails to perform even the most basic tasks at times. Honestly, it's scary how he was able to get a position in the Japanese police force. Regardless, he is usually the voice of reasoning that no one wants to hear. Expect him to get put down quite a bit.
