Danganvoice: A Danganronpa VA Blog
Project Overview
This is a casting call for the Danganronpa voice acting blog, Danganvoice! We record original scripts, dub comics, and we may dub in-game moments in the future! We have a YouTube channel, but most of our work is non-visual and posted to our blog on Tumblr!
Because this is a blog we intend to keep running, this project will go on indefinitely. Don't worry though, we don't overload our VAs; when we receive requests, first we wait for finished scripts. Then, when scripts are ready, VA's are given five days to send their audio in. Once our audio editors have edited the audio, the Mods will post finished requests to the blog. Occasionally, video editors make audio into sprite videos for our channel as well! There are exceptions to deadlines, of course; if we have a particularly large project, VA's are often given 1-2 weeks to complete it. Moreover, if a VA has a conflict so they cannot send audio in on time, they just have to let our Deadline Manager know in private messages beforehand (except in cases of emergency)!
You can only be cast as two characters max!
This is the first time we'll be hosting more "open" auditions: if you prefer to keep your audition private, head on over to our audition page, where you'll be able to audition through submission to our blog or email.
If you choose to audition here, please either comment on your audition with the following information or send us an email (address available on our audition page):
- Name/Age/Preferred pronouns
- Who you auditioned for (+ your CCC username if you use email)
- Discord profile
- Tumblr URL
- Anything you would not be able to voice (certain pairings, situations, etc)
Due to the nature of our blog, we do not have set dates for when we will cast characters. All casting announcements go up on our blog, and we will update characters status' on here only when they have been cast.
Lastly: Although our discord server is open to anyone and everyone, all VA's must join. It's where we organize everything for the blog.

Chihiro is very intelligent, but he also has a very meek and timid personality. He is very shy and apologizes a lot - it's easy to intimidate him to the point of tears. However, he also loves to talk about anything related to his work as a programmer and he becomes more lively whenever the topic is brought up.

Gonta likes animals very much, especially insects, and he can even speak with them. He is a kind-hearted, gentle, and polite person. He is very pure and naive, as he easily believes strangers and can get easily discouraged by other people's comments. He himself acknowledges and often points out that he is dumb, which is one of the reasons why he listens to other people so much. Naturally, he strongly dislikes killing and cruelty, which can rather easily make him cry. However, despite his gentle nature, he can turn very angry if he sees or hears someone hating on insects, and he believes bug lovers can't be bad. Due to his strong love for bugs, he is often seen searching and yelling for them to come out, claiming that he wants to talk with them.
I'll make proud the woodland family that raised me... By becoming a true gentleman.

Miu is described as an oddball, having an overly confident, loud personality and a frighteningly sharp tongue. She considers herself a beautiful genius, and every time she opens her mouth she spews a parade of reckless vulgar remarks and insults, strongly putting pressure on others and looking down on them

Kyosuke is cold and authoritative, holding an incredible amount of anger towards Ultimate Despair and is in favor of killing them. At one point, he was stated to be charismatic, which is demonstrated in Juzo and Chisa Yukizome's loyalty to him, showing that he can be influential. His opinions are very radical, as he believes Despair should be eliminated at all cost, even if sacrifices, like his own death, must be made.
Kyosuke states that he does not believe solely in hope or despair, but power. He understands that (similar to Nagito Komaeda) in order for hope to be fully appreciated, you need to go through a greater despair beforehand. He believes that despair breeds hope, and therefore it needs to be embraced. He disagrees with Makoto Naegi because of this, as he only wants to embrace hope. Though throughout his struggle in the Final Killing Game, it becomes apparent at just how pessimistic Kyosuke had become—choosing only to focus on despair without seeing the good that was still left in the world.
Kyosuke is decisive, overly logical, and reserved. He tries to distance himself from emotional reasoning as much as possible, to keep his emotions from getting in the way of his decisions. He is aware that he has to make the tough choices that few others are willing to make, and has resigned himself to the responsibility. Because of this, he seems to view himself as very martyr-like, as he is willing to put himself into unfavorable opinions with others in order to get things done. Though originally rational and reliable, he loses his restraint as a result of Chisa's death.
In his past, he was a slightly warmer person, smiling more often and having a kinder voice. He was determined to lead Hope's Peak Academy in order to take the school in the correct direction.
No matter how many I make into victims, even if it means my death, I shall destroy despair. That is my resolve.
A world without despair... That is the future that she and I imagined!
For the sin of laying a hand on my school, you will pay the price.

Usami is gentle and kindhearted, but also very naive and not very smart. While she is strict about rules and certain other things, it's very easy to trick or persuade her. All she wants is to foster love, friendship, and good manners, emphasized in her catchphrase "love, love!". Because of this, she can even come across overly sweet and annoying. She encourages everyone to live in peace and strengthen their bonds with each other. She is very happy and proud when everyone gets along, and scolds them when they do bad and kindly asks them not to do it again.
Usami is afraid of violence, fighting, and cruelty, considering all of it "a big no-no" - the mere thought frightens her. She also emphasizes the importance of caring for the environment, prohibiting the students from throwing trash anywhere on the island (because she stated if you littered it would trigger an alarm). Furthermore, though she is very childish, Usami is aware of sexuality and tries to prevent the teens from doing anything "shameful". Comically, she sometimes incorrectly assumes that one of her students is interested in her and she's shocked by the idea of a romance between teacher and student. She seems to view herself as a lady who needs to be treated with delicacy and respect, though obviously nobody else does.

We were supposed to have a fun, friendly school trip, but it turned out all bloody instead...
In any case, you can't bweak the wules. Beside, it's fine if you want to have fun but don't forget your studies.
