Danganronpa: Pulled Strings
Project Overview
Disclaimer: This project will contain sensitive subjects, such as violence and death, like usual Danganronpa. But it will also include profane language and other tough topics that may come up. Keep in mind this is a fan-made Danganronpa series.
About the project:
Danganronpa: Pulled Strings, or DRPS, is a fan-made video series based on Danganronpa. It focuses on the story of 13 students trapped in a museum being forced into none other than a killing game by the host, MonoGator. All the cast are original characters with varying personalities and ultimates. This will be uploaded onto YouTube, which hasn't been created yet.
The script of the prologue has been written and finalized. Not too long after casting is set, you will receive your character's script. Chapter 1 already has an outline for it, and the rest of the chapters have been briefly planned out. Instead of the usual 6 chapters like the original Danganronpa, DRPS will have 5. This is a project I have been working on for a while, and I'm very passionate about it, so I'm very excited to bring the characters more to life with voice actors!
About this casting call:
When auditioning, make sure you have decent microphone quality. Do not record on a phone. Try your best to fit the character, but don't be afraid to branch out when auditioning. Most of these characters could work in a lot of ways with voices. All characters will be cast after the deadline to give everyone a fair chance to try out. I don't expect the voice acting to be absolutely perfect since this is an unpaid project, but I do expect the voice acting to be able to have versatile emotions.
Workload: All the characters will have their significant moments and have voice lines, but Wisteria will end up with the most since she is the protagonist. Trials will not be fully voice since that is simply too many lines to be giving people. I will try my best to give out a reasonable amount of lines because I understand people have their own lives. Most CGs will be voice acted, and only certain lines in normal conversation. Contact will be through email, and there will be no live directing.

Wisteria is the protagonist of this story. She tends to be socially awkward but tries her best to manage it, sometimes failing miserably. The most important thing to her is her guitar and music. When she needs to express herself, she pulls out her electric guitar and slams those power chords! Wisteria is a rocker girl who admires to be just like her tough girl attitude rockstar idols, even if she knows she's not that tough. She tries her best to be friendly to everyone, even when they anger or annoy her. Luckily, she has high patience from dealing with jerks from the multiple rock bands she has been in.
Voice notes: medium female voice. Can be upbeat when she's happy but gets soft spoken when nervous. Sometimes goes slightly higher when she's excited or happy.

(Upset and angry) What is wrong with you to say something so vain, you jerk!
Silver seems to always be agitated and angry. He has severe trust issues, leading to him often isolating himself or only sticking close to one person. He's quick to counter back with any insult thrown his way and always wants the last word. He puts on a cool tough guy act, but actually he's quite pathetic. Silver's secretly hypersensitive, but he wouldn't tell anyone that. His favorite vocals to do are black metal since it is his favorite genre, leading to him being a slight metal elitist.
Voice notes: medium male voice. Shouts a lot and speaks faster when he's embarrassed. May have a slight rasp to it sometimes.

(Embarrassed) You didn't see that! You will never mention to anyone what you saw, you hear me!
(Angry) Someone like you wouldn't understand the art of black metal! It's not for annoying idiots like you!
Verena is a strong warrior with a high sense of justice. She's willing to do anything to fight for what's right and her loved ones. She tends to be overprotective and can become somewhat jealous of others. She tries to be nice, but her patience runs out quickly, and she will snap if someone pushes it. Verena is extremely brave; however, that is actually her weakness. If someone doesn't talk sense into her, she will run headfirst into danger without a second thought. Even though she's this strong, brave knight, she has her moments of vulnerability.

(Gentle) I'm here anytime you need me, okay? I'm not going anywhere.
(Sad and guilty) I can't believe they're gone. I failed to protect them, and now they're dead.
Ryoko is obsessed with dragons to the point she somewhat tries to embody one. She handcrafted her dragon mask and wings that she never takes off in front of anyone. She acts animalistic and can be very high energy at times. She likes almost everyone she meets, but if she doesn't like someone, she will make it known. She can act bratty and mean but also extremely nice. She tends to have mood swings that can happen at a moment's notice. Ryoko is a little crazy, obsessive, and psychotic. She oftentimes doesn't take things seriously and jokes around instead. She was always described as a "wild child" by everyone around her growing up.
Voice notes: androgynous and possibly a rasp to it. Very enthusiastic and excitable. Honestly, I could see her with a lot of different voices, so feel free to try anything out!

(Intrested)Did you know dragons are found in almost every culture? It makes you think, where exactly did they come from?

Mara has an extremely high ego and is always high energy and upbeat. In every conversation, she tries to make it all about her. With such a high ego, she sometimes doesn't notice how much she's annoying others. She is usually oblivious to other people's emotions and misses social cues sometimes. She does whatever she wants whenever she wants.

(Offended)Hey, you hurt my feelings! You take that back!
(Scared)Oh my god, is that a dead body! I think I'm going to vomit.
Rekka's been quite the rebel her whole life. Any chance she got, she would pick up a spray paint can and create anything that came to mind. Whether it be a political graffiti or an illustration on canvas, she would hang on her wall. In almost every store she entered, she would swipe their spray cans, and without anyone realizing, she stole them. She didn't have the money to constantly be paying for paint, and she didn't want to support those greedy corporations anyway. Rekka isn't going to let anyone control her. She is a free spirit, and she doesn't let anyone change that.
Voice notes: medium to high female voice. Very laid back and kind of chill.

(Disappointed)Oh, come on! Is anything interesting ever going to happen? I'm bored out of my mind.
(Concerned)There's no way the killer did something that inhumane, right?
Ray is always a cheerful and happy kind of guy. He's all about learning from your mistakes and staying hopeful. He likes to cheer others on and believe in the best of them. He's a genuinely nice guy to hang around with. Sadly, that led to people not taking him seriously and teasing him about everything. But Ray never lets it get to him; he's already become used to it. He always chooses to be optimistic and ignore the negativity.
Voice notes: high male voice. Tends to talk really fast when excited. Sometimes stumbles over words and rambles a lot.

(Excited and then disappointed) Did you know circles have the largest area of any shape with the same perimeter! You don't don't care? Oh...
(Terrified) Please don't hurt me! Let's just calm down and think about this!
Kenji is all about keeping things sanitary since he's a bit of a germophobe. If he deems someone gross, he'll do everything in his power to avoid them. He acts a bit stuck up and grouchy but can surprisingly be nice on rare occasions. Kenji became a crime scene cleaner so he could help cleanse the world of its filth. There's nothing he hates more than the wretched people who commit messy crimes. That's why he made it his job to clean it up.
Voice notes: medium to low male voice. Often sounds disgusted or disappointed.

(Frustrated) If you don't go take a bath this instant, I'm going to forcefully throw you into one!
(Neutral) I can't believe I'm saying this, but thank you. Maybe you aren't so bad after all.
Rile never wanted to be the ultimate poet. He doesn't even call himself a poet at all. Poets care too much, unlike Rile, who doesn't have a care in the world. He's often very emotionless and stoic. He has some interest in things, but it quickly fades when he starts caring too much. He finds it hard to become attached to anything. He finds himself pointlessly researching information and writing about it to make himself care more, but it never works. He is stuck feeling blah and in an endless void of nothingness.

(Pretending to be sad) Oh no, a dead body. It was bound to happen eventually.
(Confused) Wow, a gift for me... It's a flower? How thoughtful of you.
Beowulf prefers to be a lone wolf and simply observe from afar. He doesn't care much about building any relationships with others and prefers to stay in his own space. He gathers all his information on others by watching them quietly. Since people tend to forget he's there, he gets to hear a lot of stuff he otherwise would never hear. Though he may be quiet a lot of the time, when he does talk, he always has something important to say. He is very blunt and doesn't hide his opinion.
Voice notes: medium to low male voice. Somewhat soft-spoken but quick to sharpen his words when aggravated.

(Assertive) If you had actually paid attention, you would have noticed me standing here the whole time while you were talking to yourself.
(Agitated) Do I need to spell it out for you? You're a complete dumbass.
Neil is very outgoing and a social butterfly. He will strike up a conversation with almost anyone if he feels like it. He has a strong love for dogs, especially collies. Even with the scars that litter his body from the many dogs he's dealt with, he hasn't let it hold him back from still loving them.
Voice Notes: medium to high male voice. Very talkative and typically upbeat.

(Surprised) So you're telling me you've never heard of a collie before? Now that's crazy.
Vyktorya doesn't let morals hold her back. She'll do anything to get what she desires. As the ultimate costume maker, she was able to get away with many famous crimes that could never be tied back to her. She has a way with manipulation and buttering people up. It's hard to tell whether she's being genuine or not when speaking with her.
Voice notes: medium female voice. Mature and soothing-sounding. Has a Victorian accent. Calls people darling often.

(Cynical and snappy) It brings me utmost joy to see you begging at my feet. Now, sweetie, do me a favor and shut the fuck up!
(Matter-of-fact) You're so adorable. I could almost feel bad for you, but sadly I don't.
Cleo is a bit awkward and quiet but has her moments of being loud. When in conversation, she tends to keep her sentences short and straight to the point. She has a very keen intuition and can figure others out easily. She can accidentally come off as rude, but she truly is just trying to have a normal conversation.
Voice notes: medium to low female voice. Can sound very monotone but has her moment where she shows a lot of emotions.

(Irritated) Who said you could sit with me? I don't trust you enough to let that happen.
(Aggravated) Did you just slap me? Who taught you to be so disrespectful?
MonoGator is the chilling host of this killing game. She can be very goofy at times but also very serious and demeaning. She makes sure things are kept in order, or the participants of the game will be sure to get a deadly surprise. She has a strong motive for creating this killing game and is very determined to run it no matter the cost.
Voice notes: medium to high female voice. Quickly switches from joking and goofing around to being very intimidating and aggressive.

(Slightly ticked off) Pulling my tail is strictly forbidden! If any of your grubby hands touch me again, there will be consequences.
