Project Overview

Danganronpa: Belief is an original video series on Youtube in the format of the well-known Danganronpa visual novel style. It follows Semilucina University's class 15A, a group of 17 students in the second year of their killing game after a change of scenery and host. [Graduation Trip] is the first installation in the Belief series.

-SYNOPSIS-

In a world where talent has lost its meaning, 'Ultimates' could be found all around the world, at different age groups and at different social standings. This created the Higher Ultimates whose talent surpassed the norms of humanity, some of whom are even supernatural.

Heavily inspired by the format of Danganronpa, the world of Master Detective Archives: Rain Code and the concept of the Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy, DRB strives to keep Kodaka's work ablaze.

-DETAILS-

Becoming a part of our team requires you to take on the responsibility of working with everyone else involved. Although we are a passion project, we still must ensure that we are communicating effectively and contributing together. Here are some expectations to follow:

- Please be able to meet deadlines. When production begins officially, you will be informed of the targeted timeframe, although we can be a lot more lenient and flexible. Slow and steady wins the race!

- Be 15+. While this series will not be as gory or dark as most fangans, it is advised that you are aware of the situations and themes that this series deals with.

- Please make sure you have Discord to communicate with the whole team. Be prepared to constantly communicate with the rest of the team, including other staff members and voice actors. Be in touch with the leaders of your team. We want to be a close and supportive little group!

The series' excess staff will be dismissed after Chapter 1 under low reception, otherwise it will continue slower with the remaining staff to Chapter 6.

I'm looking for two! One with hand drawing animated CGS (there aren't that many) and one for rigged animation on professional software, for example using the bone tool on adobe. There is no need to replicate any style (Although the DRDT animated cg style is very convenient) and I will be sending in my storyboard before you begin work. These CGS, minus executions, would be very short, way under a minute.

Voice Description: Medium feminine voice. Projects a lot due to her frequenting the stage. Voice cracks when surprised, and there's a great wave of emotions behind her words that cannot be told: are they truth or lies?

Eve is the Ultimate Trendsetter and Influencer. Definitely unafraid to speak her mind, especially when it comes to topics that she can make content out of when she escapes the killing game. Bold and brash, it’s a wonder that she isn’t one of the three most disliked people in the class. Due to the sheerly large amount of Ult. Influencers in the world, she must stand out to be seen. If someone’s clothes were torn up or redesigned, you best bet all your monocoins that it was the ferocious handiwork of Miss Evelyn Park!


Voice description: 
1) Sassy and rather loud high female voice. If I had to use a voice claim, I'd say it'd be like Furina and Charlotte combined from G*nshin Impact. Maybe like a valleygirl.
2) Remaining with that sassy attitude, Evelyn can also be interpreted as having a booming low female voice, filled with 'sigma' energy.

Fujika Kabuki, Higher Ultimate Weaponsmith, is an easily irritable young lady with a supernatural talent for weapon forging and an unbreakable bond with her 'friend' Heromee. She's able to replicate and create weapons that were used in the far past, as well as immensely futuristic ones. Due to the nature of the killing game however, she's agreed to put an end to her talent by destroying all her creations as well as the furnace at the old campus with her own hands.


Voice description: Miserable office lady-like voice quality. Dropping her talent made her more compassionate and emotional. Medium high feminine voice.

Michel is the Higher Ultimate Intuition, an amnesiac with no choice but the rely on the cold, hard truth due to his lack of memory and experience with his classmates. Apparently, he was a trainee detective at the largest detective organisation in the world. He doesn't remember his twin, the mysterious Ultimate Defence Attorney. Allowing his supernatural Intuition to guide the shadowy path before him, how long can he possibly survive until the void consumes him whole?


Voice Description: Recently matured low androgynous voice. Sounds overly dramatic, even when he's not trying to. When he finally gained more confidence in CH1, his voice is louder and more arrogant.


Note: This character talks a lot, being the deuteragonist as well as a yapper, meaning you will have quite a lot of lines. Be mindful of this!

Before the transportation to Semirai, they were friends with Evelyn, even gifting her a pin with their affiliation crest on it which quickly became a taboo topic around them due to their not wanting to be friends with her anymore. She still does though…


Voice Description: They have a boastful, lively and proud androgynous voice which has enormous range, all to capture their many emotions and exaggerated remarks and reactions. I've never majorly touched anime, but they give me Gojo vibes (not saying that he's a voice claim though. Just that sort of energy.)

Cormac Bethany, Ultimate Film Critic and Actor, is a world-famous celebrity, always excelling in any acting environment. Though his behaviour in public is very consistent and believably kind, there is a void in his heart, observable only through his black hole eyes. He probably takes his friendship with Leena way too seriously. This could lead to some severe issues with Tia.


Voice Description: Airy and quite raspy monotone voice. He sounds bored most of the time, giving him an arrogant impression.

Though he doesn't usually show initiative, he will start cutting people off whenever he thinks of something to say once he gets used to the flow of the conversation. Voice description: Quiet but not meek medium low voice. When he gets hyped up about something, his volume increases exponentially. Kinda like Rantaro Amami if he wasn't so cocky.

Alfr Shan, Higher Ultimate Seer, often jokingly nicknamed 'Alpha' by his rowdier classmates is a young man of short stature (thankfully, way shorter than his temper) and a careful nature. After Michel’s amnesia hit, Alfr decided to give him a second chance and hang out with him, since they both have supernatural foresight talents. With Michel seeing what actions are optimal to the situation and Alfr foreseeing results, their teaming up would be most beneficial for the group.
