Danganronpa: Americarnage

Project Overview

Danganronpa: Americarnage takes place in America, and is heavily influenced by modern Americana culture. 

Recently, Saint Jude Thaddeus Academy for the Gifted opened and brought the ultimate student program  to the United States. Spots in the selective 16 student classes are fought for by the most elite students in the nation. 

Things to note:

The amount of voicing in this fangan will be similar to that of the canon Danganronpa franchise. 

The writing is not fully complete yet (chapter one is in development)

The official art is in the finalization stages

Requirements to be cast as a VA:

- Quality of your recording. We understand not everyone has a professional mic, but please don’t audition with crackly audio, uneven audio, or heavy background noise.

- You must have a Discord. This is how we will be communicating with the whole cast. 

- Ability to commit for an extended period of time. The script itself is still being written but if you’re cast, you will be able to act as a Beta reader and give feedback on how the script is coming along.

    Hey y'all! Today was the deadline for auditions! We will be casting in the next few weeks (hopefully we will get a lot of it done while the co-creator is here in California with me next week!) Aaron O'Bryne is a teenage boy from Missouri, who grew up as the grandson of immigrants from Ireland. Having grown up with his Irish culture close to his heart, he took up Irish dance. His tall, quiet demeanor gives him the look of a man of mystery, but the reality is he's a mischevious kid with a big heart.

Aaron speaks quietly and in a manner that frequently makes him sound bored or just uninterested, even when he is interested.

Jacob Huerta is a teenage boy from Utah. He takes great pride in his Hispanic heritage, especially in the music and the food. Reaching internet fame overnight for a 6-second comedy video, his comedy career has been on the rise ever since. Smarter than he looks, the kind-hearted young man is clever, charming, and sharp.

Jacob speaks in a cheerful and bright manner, frequently cracking jokes in efforts to lighten the frequently dark mood at St. Jude Thaddeus Academy.  Think of the Viner Drew Gooden

Note: Jacob has lines with Spanish words. Nothing too complex, and they can easily be learned.

Andre speaks with a dignified tone, but he says words in a way that feels almost venomous in nature.

Matthew Hall is a young man from Ohio who would describe himself as "someone that knows better than others based on 'logic' (unexamined social bias), 'reasoning' (a lack of empathy), 'well versed on the internet' (a virgin with a lot of free time), and an 'offensive anti-sjw snowflake triggerer' (just being a big fat asswipe)". His teachers have always written "does not play/work well with others" on his report card, as well as "rude and insensitive to others." 

Matthew has the speech patterns and mannerisms of most teenage "edgy" boys

NOTE: Matthew is a complete asswipe and has a plot-critical line where he gets cut off while calling a trans girl a "tr*p". Please note that if you get this role, you will not have to say the line. However, you will be the voice of this character and if that makes you uncomfortable please do audition for another role.

Holden Connors is a young quarterback from Texas. He has a burly and buff exterior, but a sweet and compassionate interior. As the captain of his football team back home, he’s a natural leader and defender. He tries to get along with everyone, but sometimes his short temper gets in the way. Paired with his intimidating demeanor, he comes off as an immediate threat.

Holden speaks in a comforting, kind tone and has a voice on the deeper end of the scale.

When voicing Ali, keep in mind he's very e-boy in nature. He's not an honor student with perfect pronunciation of everything. (he is also kind of stupid, but an endearing stupid.)

Mononuki is Monokuma’s American trash cat (raccoon) cousin. Mischievous and silly, they are the principal of Saint Jude Thaddeus Academy. Mononuki enjoys forcing teenagers to kill each other and long, romantic walks on the beach.

Mononuki can be voiced like Monkuma, or if you want to be funny, a Texan or New Yorker accent would be fantastic.
