Cyborg: The Animated Series
Project Overview
An animated series for Cyborg done in the style of the classic Bruce Timm DC cartoons of the 90s. This's a webseries, but it might end up on TV someday if we're given the go-ahead.

An African-American in his senior year of high school. Victor Stone was born without a right arm, and when he got his mechanical replacement, it got infected with biological technology, thus engulfing his body and turning him into a cyborg.
Since Bumper Robinson is my favorite voice actor for Cyborg, please try and emulate his voice. (You can find his voice here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmEoThIyMs8) He's meant to sound like an energetic 18 year old excited at using his new powers. (One might describe his voice as sounding like "a little kid on a swing," but it's a teen, not a little kid.)
Wow, this is so cool!
Oh, and speakin' of blasters...
BOO-YAH!
Grid is an evil, sentient cybernetic system who longs to eradicate imperfection and believes the only way to do so is with Cyborg's body. He tries to get in Cyborg's head and does whatever it takes to destroy the Steel Sentinel.
Grid's voice at 0:24 on in this video is what his voice here is based on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cgf-5pvtoWc Add a British accent to it.
I am the Grid. For years I was a stray anomaly floating through his system, simply collecting data and processing it... Victor was the one who felt joy and shame and excitement... So I removed him.
Cyborg's dad, who is a scientist at STAR Labs.
I imagine his voice sounding like the Reading Rainbow guy.
This is fantastic; it's unlike anything we've ever seen before!
Maybe we could be of help, Victor.
Right.
Cyborg's mom. She supports her son.
Hello, sweetie!
I think you look good.
Have a wonderful day.
A researcher at STAR Labs, Sarah Charles is a black woman and a friend of Cyborg.
It's all right, Cyborg.
Poor Cyborg...
How about I take you home?
Nicholas is a friend of Cyborg's who plays basketball and eventually gets his leg replaced with an artificial leg.
Nicholas originally hails from The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians, where he was played by BJ Ward (makes you wonder why Cyborg didn't get a female voice actor in the show as Nicholas was the same age as him. I bet Cyborg would've been Soleil Moon Frye's breakout role if so) but had a Chuckie Finster (Christine Canavaugh) kind of voice. Try and emulate that.
Wow!
Great job, Cyborg!
Nice catch!
Variant is a female cyborg and a friend of Cyborg. She's African-American, too.
Just give her your imagined voice
Hey, it's Variant.
Wait, Cyborg! You don't know who it is!
Phew, that was close.
A white woman who works at a special school for disabled children and is a librarian. She runs a program for autistic children at her library. She has unknown ties to the police force.
Hello, Meiko!
Cyborg's in trouble? What's wrong with him?
I'd better go investigate!
A villainess with control over ice who, in her episode, tries to freeze Cyborg to the point where he can't be thawed out.
Has Killer Frost been in any DC animated TV series? I haven't watched all of them yet. If she has, maybe do her voice from one of the ones she's in. Or you could just do your own imagined voice for her.
And frozen solid, you'll be at my mercy!
I'll chill you to the bone!
This isn't over yet!
The Atom is a superhero who can shrink down to an atomic level. Since he hasn't really appeared in any DC media, I'm including him in an episode. In said episode, he shrinks down along with Variant, Meiko, and Sohta and goes inside Cyborg when his brain is invaded by Grid.
Give him your imagined voice.
Let's shift this thing into overdrive!
The only DC character who has appeared in a multitude of media to appear in this series. She isn't related to The Joker in this version and instead is her own villain. Originally a psychiatrist named Harleen Quinzel, Harley Quinn is a harlequin villainess who develops a crush on Cyborg and calls him "puddin'." Motivated by him, she turns good and helps Cyborg out occasionally.
Imitate Arleen Sorkin's voice for her, as she was the best Harley.
I'll make you laugh till you drop!
Aw puddin'! Don't go anywhere!
I'm here to help, Cyborg!
An alien computer intelligence that possesses Cyborg and makes him try to pull the moon from its orbit, as it was blocking his view of Venus (I went there. That is the best possible reason.) He later goes on to form an alliance with Grid and work for Psychodrive.
Even though Ha'dox is male, he should be voiced by a female. He's a conniving jerk with a cackling, screeching voice. (Very different from Harley Quinn's voice.) Yes, the character was a bit inspired by Marvin the Martian.
Shut your mouth, scrap metal! I bet you'll regret what you said about me when you wake up in the morning! You'll be sorry!
Oh, I'll MAKE him shove that blasted moon out of the way for me, all right. He'll never know what's coming for him...
You bet your bottom dollar it's me, Ha'dox!
Meiko is a Japanese-American living in the city of Yamagata. She has a crush on Cyborg.
Be careful out there, Cyborg!
Tadaima.
That's great! Sugoi!
A hostile virus that wants to infect Cyborg and the world.
He's from the Teen Titans episode "Crash." He had a droning, monotone voice which in my opinion made it sound like he was bored. Either you can attempt to imitate that voice (I can somewhat do it) or give that voice more emotion. I prefer the latter.
Scanning, scanning... threat level: zero.
Deletion imminent.
Infect the world!
Psychodrive is an imposing, unintimidated neural network that attempts to drive Cyborg insane so he can be out of the picture when the network takes over Yamagata and the world. Ha'dox and Grid work for him.
Maybe his voice could be female like Ha'dox, but lower (much lower) or a male voice like Grid. In any case, it should have that "cackling" vibe to it.
That accursed Cyborg... he'll be mine.
I'll drive him right out of his mind by hijacking his bionic ear so it plays an ear-splitting sonic frequency he won't know the origin of!
My mission has been a success...
Tommy is a black kid and a friend of Nicholas. Upon the formation of the Teen Titans (a group consisting of several kids at the Special School for Disabled Children) Tommy takes the role of Steel.
Let's go, everyone!
Nice work, team!
Awesome.
Superchick has autism. Despite this, she is not a part of the Teen Titans (a group consisting of handicapped teenagers) and prefers to fight crime on her own. She has a crush on Cyborg because she hasn't had a crush on anyone black before.
basically think of a dc fangirl with autism and has no idea what she is doing is bad (kinda like bizarro but made to be good.) this girl has a masculine sounding voice but she's still a girl. alto female. (holy shit i just described myself.)
*like how Soulja Boy says "SUPERMAN!"* SUPERCHICK!
I have no idea what I was doing.
Cyborg is a sexy black guy
A writer for the episodes. Helps if you've seen the '80s and '90s DC cartoons.
