Hello, I'm nemudo. It's nice to meet you. As stated in the title, this project is for fandubbing the first chapter of the gag-comedy manga series, Criminale! (plot below). Depending on how things go, I might continue with the series past the first chapter, so please keep that in mind - you may or may not have to commit to this role long-term. On another note, I don't have any sort of following or audience and am doing this project mainly for the experience and satisfaction of simply doing it. Despite this, I still ask anyone who auditions for this project to still try their best. I will do the best I can on the editing side of things to match the quality of your performances. Perhaps you could use this project for a demo reel if it turns out well. Thank you, and I look forward to listening to everyone's auditions.
PLOT (taken from wiki): Ichimura Tamito is a criminal magnet. Ever since he could remember he had attracted criminals from kidnappers kidnapping him when he was just a newborn, to robbers stealing his toys. He is determined to start a new life and make new friends after moving to a new city but at the start of the day, he is bombarded by all sorts of crime. After encountering a knife-wielding killer in broad daylight he saves a young girl that coincidentally belongs to the same class as he does. But something seems off about this girl and his new class too. It seems like our protagonist's magnetic pull on crime and criminals is getting stronger as he finds out that he belongs to a class of criminals and suspects.
Requirements:
- Please be at least 16+. In the case that this project continues past the first chapter, it should be known that, while the series isn't NSFW, it still has some fairly suggestive scenes, moments, and dialogue here and there that may not be suitable for younger audiences. Again, though, this is only something to worry about in the case that the project continues past the first chapter.
- Although a studio-quality mic is not at all expected or required, a decent mic that can properly capture your performance is important. A laptop or phone mic is not acceptable. There may be moments where you have to yell, scream, and/or make loud noises, so make sure your mic can handle that.
- Auditions with excessive background noise, static, or feedback will not be accepted. While I can fix such issues to an extent during editing, there is, unfortunately, a limit to my ability as an amateur. Try to avoid reverb/echo as well.
- I myself haven't seen much of this to be an issue on CCC, but I'll just include it here as a formality: no bullying! There's a difference between constructive criticism and just shit-talking.
Auditioning:
- You may do as many takes as you'd like, but preferably no more than 2-3 per line.
- While I have stated in the descriptions for each character the sort of voice I envision, I am still open to interpretation.
- Please include your Discord tag along with your audition, as it will be our platform for communication.
