"You used to be in a band?"
"Yeah, but...it was a long time ago. I was just a kid."
"But that's, like, super cool! You never told me that you were in a band! How come I never heard about it?"
"It's a long story."
"Come on, I've got time!"
"No, you don't, you have school tomorrow."
"Pfft, like I actually go to bed on time anyway."
"Fine. I'll tell you, then."
Crescent Valley follows the story of Stanley Larson, a guitarist who's life is taken away from him after an unexpected loss. The loss leaves him as a shell of the person he used to be. He shuts himself in his room all day, barely eats or takes care of himself, and hardly says a word to his sister and his father. Four years after the fact, his sister graduates high school and immediately suggests to her brother that they move somewhere new. She wants to help him get a fresh start and is worried that he's going to make himself sick by staying inside all day. Though he was hesitant, Stan reluctantly agrees and moves with her to a small town called Crescent Valley, where Stan's new life begins...
PROJECT INFORMATION
Hello, and thank you for checking out my audition page! This is going to be a published webcomic series with six different sides, each side telling the story of one of each of the main characters. All work on the project will be done through Discord. Currently, I'm looking for voice actors, character designers, scriptwriters, and music producers. Requirements for this project are listed below.
REQUIREMENTS
Please be able to communicate over Discord, as this project is Discord only.
Please be available for voice calls.
Please be close to or in the MST timezone. This is for coordination purposes.
For voice actors, please have a clear sounding mic with little to no background noise.
For character designers, please have a digital drawing program.

Stanley is a socially awkward guitarist who has a hard time making friends and prefers to keep to himself. He moved to Crescent Valley with his sister Vivian after experiencing a tragic loss and is doing his best to recover from it in new surroundings. I'm looking for someone who has a medium-low voice and can deliver a Boston accent. For voice references, please listen to Kyo Sohma's English voice from Fruits Basket 2001.
"I never really thought I'd like living in a small town, but it's alright here, I guess. You're asking why I didn't think I would like it? I mean...I don't really know. I just like keeping to myself, and it's a lot easier to do that in a big city than a town where everybody knows each other."
[Trying to give his friend advice] (Sounding slightly irritated) "Jeez, you seriously just let them treat you like shit and talk to you like that all day?! I dont give a damn if they're your parents, you're an adult! No one's gonna respect you if you don't put your foot down and stand up for yourself once in a while!" (Calming down) "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. It's just...if you don't learn to stand up for yourself, you could land yourself in some really bad situations. Your parents could treat you like crap for the rest of your life, plenty of people will take advantage of you, I mean, Alice, there's creeps out there who'd have a field day with a girl who can't say no! I, *he pauses, then says with an awkward, but worried tone* I really don't want something like that to happen to you."
(Sounding slightly sad) "I left Boston to get away from all of the bad shit that was happening, and now I come here and I can't even catch a break. Vivian's gone back to Boston, nobody knows where the hell Blake is, and now...(voice breaking) now, Dad is..."
Vivian Larson is Stanley's younger sister. She's the lead singer of a punk band that she's in with her boyfriend and is a very laid back, friendly, and accepting person. I'm looking for meidum-low pitched, relaxed sounding voices. For voice references, listen to Vinyl Scratch's voice from the "I am Octavia" My Little Pony animation, Haruhi Fujioka's English voice from Ouran High School Host Club, or Chloe Price's voice from Life is Strange: Before the Storm.
(Hesitant, slightly nervous) "Stan, I was, um...I was thinking. I...well...*sighs* Look, I know that you're upset about...about him, but it's been four years now, and I'm starting to get kind of worried about you. You barely eat, you barely come out of your room. I'm not trying to tell you to stop being sad, I still want you take all the time you need, but...*pause* I really think that you need a fresh start. Somewhere new. So, there's this town..."
(Excited) "Hell yeah, dude! Crank up that amp and let's get this shit started!"
(Amused) "Look, I know you're the mayor's son and think that everybody should listen to what you say, but that shit isn't gonna happen with me. Seriously, can't you just drop this whole tough guy act and chill for a bit?"
Alice is a shy, sweet girl who has a love for animals and nature. I'm looking for someone who can do a high pitched, sweet sounding voice. Her voice also has a soft quality. For voice references, listen to Fluttershy's voice from My Little Pony.
(Nervous) "A-A party...? I-I don't think so, Rachel. I mean, I would love to come, but my parents would never agree to letting me do something like that. You know how they get sometimes..."
(Cheerful) "I'm so happy that you like them! We just harvested them this morning, so they're fresh off of the bush! ...Oh, heheh, yeah. My family actually grows a lot of the produce that you see sold at the market."
(Sounding very nervous) "No...I-I said no. I'm...I'm not going to marry him, and I'm not changing my mind, either...so..." (Still sounding nervous, but getting angrier) "N-No, I don't. Mom, Dad, I-I'm an adult now, so I don't have to listen to you guys anymore just because you're my parents. You've spent my entire life controlling what I can do, and what I can wear, and who I can talk to, and I just...I just took it, because you taught me that I wasn't good enough to stand up for myself. Well, I know that I'm good enough now, so I'm saying no! I refuse to marry him!"
Rachel is a sweet, confident girl with a love for fashion and parties. She's naturally flirtatious, so she tends to give mixed signals to guys without meaning to and has a poor reputation among the guys in town because of it. I'm looking for a medium-low pitched voice, motherly sounding voice. For voice references, listen to Lisa's English voice from Genshin Impact.
(Giggling sweetly) "You're asking why I'm so confident? Hmm...I guess it's because that moving to Crescent Valley was what gave me the opportunity to finally take control over my life. And I'm so happy about it that I don't care what other people think of what I do. I waited too long to be able to be myself to let somebody else make me feel like I'm not good enough."
(Sounding amused, but slightly malicious) "Oh, sweetie. It's adorable that you think you can get a rise out of me. I've been called every name in the book. Whore. Slut. Every single name that you could think of. They really are just petty rumors that guys who couldn't handle rejection maturely started, and seeing as I've never spoken to you before, it's obvious that you're childish enough to blindly listen to them. I hope you don't plan on finding a girlfriend anytime soon, because no woman will stand to be spoken to that way."
(Sounding slightly sad) "I know that it seems like I don't care. But I do. A lot. It's just easier to pretend like I dont...*sigh* When those guys say those terrible things to me, I know that it isn't true. But that doesn't mean it hurts any less. To know that every guy in town thinks that you're a slut who just leads people on."
Blake is the mayor's son. He acts very rude to everybody, including his friends, which comes from a lot of anger because of how his Dad treats him. I'm looking for a low pitched, mean sounding voice. For voice references, listen to Byakuya Togami's English voice from the Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc video game.
"This is seriously your idea of fun? It's too loud, and I have better things that I could be doing. I'm going home."
(Angry) "All he does is tell me what to do. I don't matter him. Mom didn't matter to him. It's all about maintaining a perfect reputation so that nobody in Crescent Valley sees him for who he really is. I can't do anything that I want to do because he treats me like an accessory, not his son! Just something for him to show off..."
(Sounding slightly sad) "Tonight, I'm packing my bags and leaving. I don't know where I'm going. I don't know if I'm coming back. I was going to leave without telling anybody, but- *pause* I felt like you at least deserved to know. You're the only person in this town that I trust. I know that I never said it, but...you're my best friend, and I care about you. Please don't tell anybody that I left. Act just as confused as everyone else when you wake up tomorrow morning and I'm gone. I just need to leave this town. Today was the last straw. Take care of yourself."
Huxley is a sweet, charismatic boy who loves making new friends. He's Blake's assistant and best friend. I'm looking for a medium pitched, cheerful sounding voice with a southern accent. For voice references, listen to Braeburn's voice from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
(Cheerful) "Y'all are new? Well, shucks! I woulda told Ma to cook up somethin' special if I knew you were comin'! Nah, it really wouldn't've been an issue. Ma loves meetin' new people! So, what are your names? I'm Huxley!"
(Bittersweet) "Course I know that. I've always known that Rachel only sees me as a friend...huh? Does it make me sad? If I'm tellin' ya the truth, not really. I'm just happy that I get to be around her. Rachel's a really swell woman, and she's got more beauty than anything or anyone I've ever seen. I'd be the happiest man in town if she suddenly woke up one day and fell in love with me. But if she only likes me as a friend? Then, hell, I can't do nothin' about it. So I'll keep bein' her friend, and that's fine with me."
(Sad, but trying to sound happy) "You've really gotta go? I...I understand. I know how he's been treatin' you. I've seen it since we were kids. And I know how much you hate it. So if you've really gotta go, then I understand and I'll support you. Just...wherever you plan on goin', please don't forget about me, okay? Remember Huxley, your best friend that annoyed the hell out of you."
