Cornered: A Resident Evil Story, Episode 2 (Audio Drama)
Project Overview
Hello, yall! I hope you're doing well! We finished "Cornered: Episode 1" a month ago and after recharging I'm back for episode 2! Before we start I want to thank the episode one cast for lending me their talents. Thank you guys so much! I wouldn't have been able to complete it without you! So, this audio series started as an original idea but some friends of mine convinced me to tie the Resident Evil universe and lore to the project. You don't have to be that versed in the lore for this project as it's a standalone story. What we're going to make is an audio drama. A "movie with sound" is kind of how I would explain it. There is alot of action, scares, and character interaction in the episodes. This will be 5-episode series with each episode being about 30 to 40 minutes in length.

SYNOPSIS
It's been several years since the events of Resident Evil 5. Jill Valentine has recovered and returned to work, but something isn't right. She has nightmares everyday about her past. So many lives lost or altered because of her actions. Can she ever make it right? Is there even anything she can even do?
As Jill struggles with this, someone with ties to her past seeks her out and asks for help. This call will once again pull her into the fray. With new horrors lurking around every corner, can she save a small town and prevent its demise? Find out on "Cornered."
So that's the basic outline of the project. There will be SIX characters that need voices in this episode. Some of them will be featured in future episodes as well. Swearing will be kept to a minimum but if you don't like swearing, we can always alter lines. As there are no visuals, clean vocals are a must. I can only do so much to clean up a noisy voice line. Here's a few things to keep in mind when auditioning.
1. When auditioning, I encourage multiple takes with varying styles so I can hear various ways lines can be said.
2. Communication on Discord would be easiest but if you rather email or some other way, just let me know. We can also discuss various things on there. Maybe a read if you're willing. My Discord is LAiB978#9968
3. Have fun! I believe with your help we can make something really cool!
The deadline will be OCT 2nd 11:59pm EST. Please get all of your auditions in before the deadline. Roles will be assigned a day or two after and you will be notified by Discord or email. Whatever is easiest for you. We are aiming for a Halloween release! (hopefully!) IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK! And that is all! Thank you in advance!

Carver is a soldier who had just gotten back to his small hometown, Estermeadow. After doing multiple tours, he is tired and ragged, but he quickly finds himself in a battle of life and death. He is very good natured, but tough and realistic. When he was on tour, he made a decision that cost some of his fellow comrades their lives...
I'll also add in a few lines from the script, so you won't have to do the audition with no context.
CARVER: (restrained, but forceful) Be smart about this, Valentine. There’s one of you and alot of them. This won’t end well. I did the same thing and my squad-
CARVER stops himself.
ELYSE: We can’t just leave them, doc!
JILL: Any idea where they might be?
MARIA: I got no clue.
CARVER: Even if we did, it’s suicide! Do you realize what is out there?
LEE begins to put away his things. He notices CARVER paying close attention to him.
LEE: Your shotgun’s not looking so hot.
CARVER: Yeah, it’s a real piece of shit. I dropped it in the mud a few times and…bashed a few skulls in.
Elyse used to council soldiers with trauma. She is very good at picking up nuances in people. She is not from Estermeadow, but came after her sister was reported missing. Elyse feels a great deal of guilt about letting her come to the town. She now finds herself in danger.
(Slightly emotional, resignation) I don’t think anyone from my group is gonna show up.
(After being handed a gun, nervous) You just point and shoot, right?
(Talking to Jill) How did this happen? You have to know something!
Dr. Michaels was up at the local reservoir when the outbreak happened. He runs into Carver and the others and has been struggling with the situation. Usually calm and level headed, he's beginning to lose himself to his emotions.
(nervous) I just checked Frank’s bloodwork. His lymphocyte percentage was pretty high. His body was fighting off some kind of infection.
Elyse, I know how you feel, but it’s too risky to go back out there... We barely made it here.
Let’s just wait a little longer. Elyse made it didn’t she?
Ben is a survivor of the group at the end of episode 1. His group did not make it. Ben is really jumpy and is looking to save himself before others. This decision comes back to haunt him....
Ben also gets killed horribly in this episode lol. Prepare for some death noises!
(Being asked if he's infected) No, I’m not s-sick!
(Being held up at gunpoint) I’m not one of them! I just need some help.
(slightly frantic) There’s five of us. We were supposed to regroup at the pharmacy, and then go to the clinic. But that…thing attacked us. I ran as fast as I could…
Tanner is a part of Carver's initial survivors group. They get separated and he and Sarah find shelter in a hardware store. He is a young man and doesn't tell the group he has a bite...
(On the radio in a barricaded room, scared) It’s quiet now. They’ve stopped banging on the doors, but I don’t know how long it will hold.
(Frightened, on the radio) I locked us in a backroom. There is nothing I can use in here.
(Stammering trying to explain) She locked herself in the manager's office. She was bleeding pretty bad. And I think she was sick.
Sarah is a part of Carver's group. They lose each other and she finds herself badly injured with Tanner. Tanner thinks she is infected.
(Weak, on radio, badly injured) Tanner’s…not with me.
(Weak, resigned to her fate) I’m in the manager’s office, but don’t worry about me. Get Tanner and go.
(Weak, pained, someone calling for you) I’m…I’m here.
