Hello, yall! I hope you're doing well! I'm starting a horror audio project and need some voice actors and actresses to help! The concept was conceived as an original idea but some friends of mine convinced me to tie the Resident Evil universe and lore to the project. You don't have to be overly familiar with the series lore, so don't feel like you have to study up on it. I will be helping with any questions regarding direction, story, and scripting. "Cornered" is an audio horror drama. There will be scenes of violence and blood. Swearing will be kept to a minimum but if you don't like swearing, we can always alter lines. As there are no visuals, clean vocals are a must. I can only do so much to clean up a noisy voice line.
I'm casting for the first episode and auditions after that will be done episodically. I'm aiming for a 5-episode series with each one being about 20 minutes in length. If you are cast for a main role, you may also sometimes be asked to help out with some minor character's lines. The roles will be in English.
SYNOPSIS
It's been several years since the events of Resident Evil 5. Jill Valentine has recovered and returned to work, but something isn't right. She has nightmares everyday about her past. So many lives lost or altered because of her actions. Can she ever make it right? Is there even anything she can even do?
As Jill struggles with this, someone with ties to her past seeks her out and asks for help. This call will once again pull her into the fray. With new horrors lurking around every corner, can she save a small town and prevent its demise? Find out on "Cornered."
So there is the basic outline of the plot of the series. There will be lots of chases, scares, and twists along the way. If you have any questions regarding anything feel free to ask. Here's a few things to keep in mind when auditioning.
1. When auditioning, I encourage multiple takes with varying styles so I can hear various ways lines can be said.

The deadline will be June 19th. Please get all of your auditions in before the deadline. Roles will be assigned a day or two after and you will be notified by Discord or email. Whatever is easiest for you.

So if you're familiar will the series you already know what she's about, but if you're new here's a quick rundown. Jill used to be a part of the Special Tactics and Rescue Squad or STARS for short. After the events of the first game, she decides to fight Umbrella and bring down their schemes. She is a very compassionate and caring person, but extremely tough. In this story she is a character struggling with internal conflict. The guilt of her actions during RE5 weigh heavily on her mind. What can one do to atone for past sins? Can she ever make things right?
You can listen to the previous voice actresses who have played her to get an idea for the voice. You don't have to imitate them as this is YOUR take on the character's voice.

(slightly emotional, but then composed) After ‘09….I just couldn’t deal with anything, you know? I just…had to get back to work.
The Serrano building? I heard everyone in there died. Some kind of gas leak.
*after killing a monster with a wrench and another person sees the aftermath* (shaky) Yeah, I know. Let’s keep moving.
Dr. Kirk is one of the few people who know about Jill's troubled past. Dr. Kirk tries to encourage Jill to open up and begin trusting other people. This role has no gender attached and no voice type. Experiment and have fun! The only thing you need to keep in mind is that this character wants good for Jill. Kirk wants to help ease her mind, so just be understanding and compassionate in your auditions!
(concerned) I know that ever since you came back to work, you haven’t been the same. Your friends tell me that you’re having nightmares. And that you’re talking in your sleep.
I was a combat medic, so I saw a lot of dead bodies. I know how that can shut you down. It’s a very quiet and personal kind of hell. You don’t have to be alone in this.
Let’s try to aim for some closure. Whatever you’re holding onto, you gotta it let go. It’s time to move on.
Ryan is a BSAA Agent that used to work with Jill. He all of a sudden disappears and he is presumed dead. He has a strong sense of brotherhood and would never leave anyone behind.
I'm not looking for a particular voice so feel free to experiment!
(apprehensive) You sure this is the place? Looks pretty empty to me.
(sharp breath) Let’s get these guys so we can get out.
(taken aback) You’re working with them? Why?
Katy is a new member of the BSAA. She is trying to learn the ropes as Jill helps her along at the office. She calls Jill with the information that propels the story.

So how was the session? Was it exciting?
(light chuckle) Well I know you’re busy so I’ll just get straight to the point. There’s a person who wants to talk with you. He asked for you or Chris but Chris is…you know.
Definitely. But he said he was a friend of Robert Kendo? That name ring a bell?
Robert Kendo is a friend of Jill's and her fellow STARS teammates. He is an excellent gunsmith and is a very friendly individual. Unfortunately, he does not make it out of Raccoon City. His story is buried along with the rest of the city. He has ties to Ryan Lor and is the catalyst that puts the events of the story in motion.
So, I'll leave a link to the story beat that this comes from in the games. Obviously it won't be exactly like for like but you can use the scene to help you understand some of the context The scene happens in a flash back and causes Jill to action.

(After Jill asks what's wrong, trying to not have her worried) Nothing, uh…Just bad timing is all. You go on ahead. I’m waiting for someone. When he gets here, we’ll meet up.
