Episode 1: Round 3 Auditions

Welcome to the BATTLEREALM-- a broken section of space-time where cosmic beings gamble for the ultimate power while their unwilling pawns fight for their lives and a chance to return back to Earth. Who will survive... THE CONTEST OF CHAMPIONS?
Another World Productions is working on a fan animated comic series of Marvel’s, Contest of Champions (2015 comic series). This will be a 10 episode series featuring many characters and roles to fill.
The parts below are for the second half of issue #1. All parts are unpaid and production of this project is second to full time day jobs.
Audition for any and as many of the cast of characters as you like. The Audition will be open until February 29th at 11:59pm. Casting will be selected after the project is closed.
Each character will be given two or three lines and will be judged on quality and performance. Auditions will also be judged on whether or not your voice fits the character and your vocal range if you choose to audition for multiple characters.
What we are looking for:
· Realism: We need to feel that you are this character, not that this is an audition.
· Expression: Can you portray the character's emotional state accurately?
· Vocal Range: If you're auditioning for multiple characters this is another factor we'll be taking into consideration. If you use the same voice for every audition you might get lucky and find the character who fits your voice, but if you can prove that you can change you voice accordingly to fit a specific characters tone that might increase your chances of being cast.
· Mic Quality: This one is not as serious as the others, but it will be taken in to consideration and should go without saying that I need to be able to hear your voice and not a bunch of white noise.
More parts will be added as production progresses.

(Sounding like late 20s. Any Asain regional accent preferred but not required. Scene takes place in Korea.) Ami Han is the last of the Kumiho, a mystical Korean shapeshifting nine-tailed fox. As White Fox is given information regarding the death of her comrade Gun-R, she is ambushed by several members of the Three Moons Gang. She swiftly defeats the Three Moons Gang, then proclaims that the Summoners made a mistake in not starting with her.
(Sounding sarcastically irritated)
Apologies commander. Two armored assassins from the Three Moons Gang are staging an ambush.
(Stopping fighting, sounds slightly surprised and full of sorrow)
He was a good man.
(Sounding firm)
Why was I not informed sooner?
(Serious tone)
I think that these Summoners sent their demons to South Korea to murder our national heroes. They made one very bad mistake.

La Fluer du Mal (Guillotine Demon)

La Fleur du Mal appears to be a sentient being with a never-ending thirst for blood, which is absorbed by the sword as it cuts through the enemies of its wielder. The sword speaks directly to its user's mind, so it normally can't be heard by other people.
(Calling out in an ominous tone)
Jean Desmarais. You are being hunted Jean Desmarais.
Your former friends call you counter-revolutionary-- A girondist sympathizer.
They are combing the tunnels for you, and when they find you, you will die..
(Speaking in ominous tone)
Perhaps so. Perhaps I have been waiting for one who is mad enough-- Desperate enough-- To hear me speak.
To carry me through the days of his life. Through the days of his LINE.
Let us help each other, Jean Desmarais, let us swear an oath on your blood-- To face your enemies together.

(Sarcastic, mocking weakness)

Born of a mixed French-Algerian heritage, the mysterious Guillotine is the latest in her bloodline to inherit "La Fleur du Mal", a mystical sword with dark supernatural powers. Across the centuries, many have wielded the enchanted blade - some for good, some for evil. For the will of the sword is strong, and its thirst for blood is limitless, and many have succumbed to its whispers in their minds. The current Guillotine uses the blade to punish the guilty and keeps the sinister instincts of the sword in check... for now! Member of the “Red Team.”
(Speaking casually, slightly sarcastic)

In October of 1793, Jean Desmarais was being prosecuted under the allegations he was a Girondist sympathizer and counter-revolutionary. He found himself escaping from his former allies in the Parisian catacombs, where under his desperation, came across a sword that communicated with him and convinced him to swear a blood oath to become its user, as a means to destroy his enemies.
The curse of the sword was passed on to Jean's descendants, and lasted the passing of time into the present, with its latest user being Jeannine Sauvage.
(Running frantically and yelling back to mysterious voice)
Stop! Stop talking!
How-- How can you speak in my mind? Who are you?
(Starts walking down the corridor. ** “Name of a name” is similar to saying, oh my god)
Name of a name. I…
I have gone mad…
(Sounding angry, possessed by Demon)
