Commonwealth Livestock - Supporting Characters (A Fallout 4 Mod)

Project Overview

Commonwealth Livestock is a mod for Fallout 4 that aims to expand the highly popular settlement building aspects of the game by allowing the player to buy, breed and slaughter various wasteland creatures. These new livestock features will be wrapped in a new questline based around a livestock supply rivalry for Choice Chops in Diamond City. The questline will bring new original characters into the world of Fallout 4 as well as characters from Fallout New Vegas. A detailed synopsis of the story and setting for this questline can be read below.

In the year 2281, a legendary individual known simply as the Courier assisted with a mysterious problem that plagued a Brahmin ranch in Novac. The Courier's actions allowed the owners of the ranch Dusty McBride and his wife Alice to expand their small business into an impressive trading empire that now dominates the Brahmin trade in the Mojave region. Now six years later in 2287 Dusty McBride and his wife have traveled to Diamond City with the intention of expanding their business into the Commonwealth. The arrival of the McBride family represents a threat to the aristocratic Codman family whose farms govern the Brahmin trade in the Commonwealth region. Clarence Codman has chosen to hire the mob to ensure his family continues to govern the Brahmin trade in the Commonwealth. The Sole Survivor may choose to enter this growing conflict between mobsters and ranchers, siding with either family and embarking on a journey that will ultimately determine the fate of the livestock trade in the Commonwealth.

The only requirements for those that wish to audition for these roles are that:

-Your microphone should be of a reasonably good quality.

-You are able to produce clean sounding audio.

 - You are able to render audio to either WAV or MP3.

I'm currently recruiting additional roles for Choice Chops the questline component of the Fallout 4 quest and settlement mod Commonwealth Livestock. The roles are all supporting characters with varying degrees of importance who will be used to flesh out new locations.

There are larger images available for each character on the development preview found here

Delilah

Role assigned to: maisykay

Delilah is pre-war ghoul lounge singer and the longtime on-again-off-again girlfriend of Mickey O'Malley. She is highly tempestuous and whilst she believes she is classy she is actually quite sleazy.

[Please note this is a singing role, however, I'm happy to cast separate actors for the signing  and speaking parts so please don't let it put you off auditioning. If you wish to audition for the singing part you can send a private audition to [redacted] with a recording of you singing a jazz lounge style song of your own choosing.]

  • Hey darling, you gonna buy a doll a drink or two?

  • Oh, honey, you look like a bad boy…I do so love the bad ones.

[flirtatious with emphasis on the last part stretching out the word 'so'.]

  • You’re nothing but a two-bit hustler, ya big galoot…now beat it before I stick Mickey’s boys on you!

    [frustrated and angry]

Role assigned to: somerandomguywithavoice

Two mobsters having a conversation about what to do with a hostage.

  • Triggerman 1: I don’t get it, why don’t we just ice this mook and take his stuff already.

Triggerman 2: Because Marroni’s planning on using him, you moron. It’s a little something called collateral. The boss reckons that if we hang onto this guy for a while it’s gonna force that old codger McBride to bend our way.

Triggerman 1: Well, I still don’t really get it. I think we’d all just be a lot better off with this guy dead.

Triggerman 2: And it’s exactly that sort of deep thinking pal that caused Mickey to leave me in charge of this joint and not you.

Role assigned to: redoni

Murphy is the newest and youngest recruit to the McBride caravan guard. He is somewhat of a daydreamer, hopelessly optimistic and a frequent source of Stitches jokes.

  • Mrs. McBride sure does run a tight ship, ain’t nothing slipping by her gaze!

[The word 'sure' in this line should be stretched out and given emphasis.]

  • I’ve taken to naming each of the brahmin. Stitches said it’s stupid because there all just gonna end up in the meat locker anyway...but I reckon she’s just jealous of my relationship.

[The word 'but' in this line should be stretched out and given emphasis.]

  • There sure ain’t nothing tastier than one of Mrs. McBride's brahmin steak pies.

  • I ain't here to chit-chat with ya mister, a girl's got caps to make.

Triggerman 2 should sound slightly condescending.

He can be a human or a ghoul, however, a ghoul sounding character would be preferred.

Sammy is a robot bartender originally from New Reno who works at Mickey's bar.

Before the Great War Sammy worked as performer and tour guide at a museum dedicated to chronicling the history of organized crime in America. He was later reprogramed to work as an entertainer at a casino in New Reno.

  • Ring-a-ding-ding baby you look fabulous!

  • What can old Sammy get ya doll?

  • Kid, when you walk into the joint I bet the girls just light right up!

Role assigned to: imalive

Stitches is a young female disgruntled ranch hand working on the McBride's brahmin ranch who continually complains about her duties.

  • We’ve been herding these damn brahmin back and forth all day.

  • I'm starting to think there isn't anything that smells worse than brahmin dung in the whole damn Commonwealth.

  • Oh, god this job is so boring...If I weren’t being paid to guard these things, I’d just shoot them between the eyes and be done with it. At least that way we could all have some fun right?

  • A word of advice pal best keep your mitts off Delilah, else old Mickey will have his boys pay you a midnight visit.

  • This is a bar, not a cat house. Order something or get the hell outta here!

Role assigned to: jeffwerden

Samuel is an ex-bounty hunter from the Mojave who joined the McBride caravan guard.

He is second-in-command after Rick Carlson and spends the majority of his time sitting outside on the porch at McBride Ranch smoking and drinking.

  • Hey, do us all a favor and stay out of the brahmin pen would ya son.

  • That Murphy kid sure as heck got some strange notions…I reckon something ain’t quite right with his melon.

  • I’ll tell ya, son, there ain’t nothing like watching the Sun rise over the Mojave with an ice cold Sunset Sarsaparilla in your hand and a pack of Grey Tortoise in your pocket.

Wilbert

Role assigned to: fairfieldfencer

Wilbert is the personal robot servant of the McBride family.

His original purpose  was for the promotion of the popular pre-War soft drink Sunset Sarsaparilla.

Wilbert's speech and mannerisms are based on a stereotypical Old West style.

His lines should be spoken as enthusiastically as possible.

  • Well, howdy there pilgrim!

  • Howdy partner. Welcome to the best rootin’-tootin’ brahmin ranch in all the dang Commonwealth.

  • Howdy there, buckaroo. Be sure to keep a sharp eye out for rustlers and other pesky vermin.
