Child Duck Creature — Voice Actor for Indie Game

Child Duck Creature — Voice Actor for Indie Game

Project Overview

Casting an adult voice actor for a child duck-like creature in an indie game.

Voice direction: an original small duck-like creature voice — warm, lively and emotionally sincere. Blend clear speech with soft quacks, duck-like breath, rounded vowels and playful rhythm. The duck quality should live inside the voice rather than appearing as a separate sound after every line. Avoid baby talk, mascot energy, celebrity imitation and electronic robot effects.

Pay: $300 flat for the role. Auditions close Oct 20, 2026.

  • DIALOGUE — record each line three ways: (1) NATURAL — your first interpretation; (2) DUCK BLEND — clear speech with stronger quack, breath and duck-like rhythm; (3) CLEAR — mostly human speech with one subtle duck-like vocal catch. Lines: 01 “Oh! You’re back. I was waiting.” / 02 “I found you!” / 03 “What are you doing over there?” / 04 “Can I sit with you?” / 05 “Mm... stay here a little longer, okay?” / 06 “You seem quiet today.” / 07 “Huh? I heard something. Let’s go see.” / 08 “I don’t know yet, but I want to try.” / 09 “Wait, wait. I have an idea.” / 10 “Tell me one more thing.” / 11 “Whoa! Too fast. Try again.” / 12 “Good night. I’m still listening.”

  • EMOTIONAL RANGE — repeat “Wait, wait. I have an idea.” as: CURIOUS / DELIGHTED / SECRETIVE / SLEEPY / RECOVERING FROM SURPRISE.

  • DUCK VOCAL TAKES (no words) — short, intentional duck-creature sounds using quacks, chirps, breath and low murmurs. One restrained take and one more expressive take for each: 01 Notice something — questioning chirp / 02 Recognize someone — bright greeting quack / 03 Invite someone closer — gentle two-part call / 04 Enjoy being petted — hum into a soft coo-quack / 05 Startle, then recover — sharp quack into a murmur / 06 Friendly boundary — one firm quack, then soften. Submit clean, unprocessed audio.
