I will be casting several roles tomorrow!
Stay tuned! :D
Hello again, CCC!
It's Somewhat Heroic Productions again for another fan dub project! It's been a couple years since we completed our complete fan dub of Senyu (link provided to Google Drive files for that below), but after figuring out some IRL things, we're back for another one! This time, we're going to take on another undubbed, classic anime comedy, Carnival Phatasm. It is one of the few Fate related projects that still lacks a dub.
For those who do not know, Carnival Phantasm was an anime made to celebrate the tenth anniversary of TYPE MOON. Primarily featured in the show are characters from the Fate franchise, but they are also accompanied by character's from Type Moon's other work, Tsukihime as well. Unlike the primary Fate and Tsukihime series, the Carnival Phantasm's premise is a set of short comedic sketches putting the normally, mostly serious characters of the Type Moon franchises in over the top, silly situations. Each episode has two or three sketches focusing on different characters in different scenarios, and a few short interludes divide each one. Essentially, it's a zany, over the top comedy. I'd like to dub all of the sketches, but if not all, at least the Fate related ones.
Knowledge of Type Moon and the Fate franchise is not needed, but it can be very helpful when auditioning and knowing the material. I am not looking for exact impressions of the official English VA's. If you'd like to approach your auditions that way, that is perfectly okay. However, I welcome new takes on the character's voice as well! You can audition for one or more characters, and you could potentially be cast for more than one. I'd love to give as many people a shot at this project as possible, but if you're feeling confident, feel free to audition for more than one! Just make sure you are very committed to the project if you plan to do this because re-casting is not ideal.
Now, for the rules of this project, which I am going to be a little more strict with this time around based on experiences in my last project. First off, have a solid microphone and recording setup. The slightest bit of background noise isn't the end of the world, but try to submit the highest quality you can eliminating every problem you can. Second, this is a for fun project. This is a for fun fan dub for everyone to have fun with and improve their skills for official projects. To avoid legality issues and such, I'll ask that you be credited with a pseudonym or at the least a stage name so this doesn't complicate things for anyone involved in the future (had an issue with this last project, so I just want to set this rule). Lastly, have fun with your auditions and let loose! Having fun with auditions and bringing the energy always helps bring the best performances out.
Anyways, I am excited to work with some people, old and new, on a new fan dub! Let me know if you have any questions.
Here's an example of some of the sketches used in the show:

I’d really like to wrap up casting in the next few weeks, so I’m only going to extend the deadline a couple more times. Get your auditions in! Main characters for skits still up! (Will be casting a few characters tomorrow)
Saber is Shirou Emiya's heroic servant during the 4th Holy Grail War and is the Saber Class servant. She is in actuality, King Arthur. Her personality is very serious, loyal, independent, and a little reserved. Saber is very strong and is often underpowered by Shirou's lack of mana, which leads to complicated relationship.
In Carnival Phantasm, Saber's personality is still very serious, but her over-seriousness is often played for laughs, as she's inadvertently being funny. She also shows a cuter, softer side in Carnival Phantasm, especially if it involves Shirou and making her food.
I think Saber should have a medium to medium low voice, serious in nature, but with the range an over the top show can have. She also turns into her Alter form, evil form, in Carnival Phantasm briefly, and she should be voiced a little more sinister in tone in that scene. Feel free to come up with your own approach!
"Shiro! A holy battle between knights should not be this showy!" (serious and angry)
"This light is the planets hope. Proof of the life that illuminates this world! Behold! EXCALIBUR!" (determined and fierce delivery before firing off ultimate attack)
"H-H-Happy Birthday, Shirou. I wanted to give you this gift, because you're my master. (shy, sweet delivery)
In Tsukihime, Kohaku is one of the two maids at the Tohno residence. She is almost always smiling, sweet, and friendly to Shiki and Akiha. While she has a mischievous side with her many experiments, Kohaku has been a longtime friend to Shiki.
I would give Kohaku a Medium High, sweet sounding voice, but it is up for interpretation!
(explaining, with friendly demeanor) Oh well, we're just having fun, so no need to worry about the little rules. Please split into two teams by drawing lots. The winning team will get a team prize. There are also various individual prizes! What's more, the MVP this time gets… The right to spend a night Alone with Shiki in a private room!
(excited and determined) It's precisely because our souls are restless and blemished that we should use sports to enhance our friendship!
(insert devious laugh) (prideful delivery) Big success! To be honest, I'd had enough about Akiha's unfriendly and dishonest attitude, so I put something in her tea to be more truthful.
A mystical beast spirit that inhabits the body of a sacrificed young girl named Nanako, whom Ciel calls Seven.
She is young, so she should have a younger tween to teen voice.
Ahh, master?! What is it master?! Master?!
(insert terrified scream here)
Illyasviel (Ill-yuhs-veel) von Einzbern is the master of Berserker. While not in actuality, Illya appears to be the youngest participant in the Holy Grail War. She has some surprisingly homicidal and devious tendencies, especially towards Shirou. She does have a cutesy side, which is more often on display in Carnival Phantasm.
(in great distress) What?! Out of batteries?! Oh no, I was so close to clearing this game too! Berserker, buy me some batteries! The enerloop ones!
(very angry) Get up, Rin! That's my spot! Give it back!!! Ahhh!!! (biting Rin noises)
(relaxed) Shirou, the futons feel so warm and comfy. (giggles) Shirou, take a nap with us too.
Akiha is Shiki's younger sister in Tsukihime. At the beginning of the story, he goes back to live with her in thier family mansion after years apart. She holds many secrets about herself, the family, and despite that is very, very overprotective and strictwith her troubled brother. Oh, did I mention she really, really, loves her older brother in many ways?
I see Akiha as having a teen Medium to Medium low voice capable of yelling, being shy with tender moments, and able to act like a 4 year old Akiha (in one skit her mind is reversed to that of a 4 year old).
(lightly scolding) Brother! Geez! I know we're here to play, but you're still the eldest son of the Tohno family! Get a better grip on yourself! You haven't stopped grinning since we got here!
(flustered and completely red blushing) Wait, Kohaku! That's morally- (cut off) Redo the preparations immediately, or it'll be too late!!!
[Akiha 4 year old mode](crying in fear) Big brother, I'm scared! I want to go with you!!!
Issei is one of Shirou's best friends from school and resides at Ryuudo Temple, the setting of much of the conflict in Stay Night. He is the stern leader of the student council at school. Issei is only in one sketch, the one involving Medea's love, where he is mistrusting of Medea and her intentions toward Kuzuki.
Try a Medium to Medium Low teenage voice for Issei.
(after discovering Medea's Saber shrine) You sly fox! I'm reporting this to Kuzuki! I don't know what you were making such a ruckus over, but I'm sure you're up to no good!
(accusatory) Kuzuki, look! I've caught her in the act!
Sion is a genius prodigy alchemist from the Atlas organization. Despite that status, she is being chased by both the church and mage's association. She comes to Shiki's city in hopes of finding Arcueid to see if she knows of a cure to vampirism. In Carnival Phantasm, her supposed vast knowledge and "calculations" are a running joke.
(sure of self) That was all within my calculations.
(Determined) We have the best members. According to my calculations, the chances of us losing are zero.
Sion: (certain) My calculations were incorrect.
Riesbyfe is an official vampire hunter from the church. Like the other two members of the Afterschool Alleyway Alliance, she is underused in the main source material. However, she never really seems to be super into the idea of the Alliance and constantly derails the skits by bringing up things she forgot about doing.
Riesbyfe would have Low to Medium Low voice that is somewhat monotoned at times.
(uninspired scream) The videos I rented are overdue. I'll get fined!
(slightly encouraged) That was great. Great, I tell you! We've totally captured the hearts of our audience!
(angry) Quit dreaming! We're breaking up!
Miyako is Shiki Tohno's non-blood related cousin who became a lot closer to him when he wasn't living in the Tohno mansion. She is bitter he returned and cut off contact.
She is a younger teen, so her voice should sound some younger.
(nervous) I-I'm at the beach with Onii-chan...
(scared) Master Panda, what do I do?! (small) Wait... (insert loud attack scream here)
Neco Arc is the main Neco, who is usually the character who introduces the next skit coming up. Although, she does appear in a few actual skits with the characters.
Give her a sort of quirky, different, adult sounding voice similar to the Japanese version or your own take.
(another annoyed sound followed by louder grumbling) FOR THE MILLIONTH TIME, WE ONLY DO CURRY--- (suddenly cut off) Oh, that’s not what you meant? (small pause) Oh, the carnival is starting? (surprised) The Carnival Phantasm?
(confused) I don’t understand your sudden decision. What's wrong?
(non-reactive) So how are we gonna take care of this?
Sakura Matou is the awful Shinji Matou's super sweet sister. Unlike Shinji, Sakura is generous, helpful, but very unconfident. She spends a lot of time with Shirou at his house due to the state of things at her own home. In the Heavens Feel path of Stay Night her character goes down a much darker path. One of the sketches she's most prominently featured in is a parody of Japanese soap opera-like shows (contains a little bit of trigger-y content, so be aware)
For Sakura, try a very kind, sweet-sounding voice. Try one you feel like a really nice girl would have. The medium high range is probablt the right area to aim, but if you have your own approach, go for it.
(sad) "I'm sorry, but I'll be fine. I have to take care of my brother."
(inquisitive) Hey, Rider. Have you been protecting me recently? (in denial) You know, my brother, he does have his good points. He's just very insecure..."
(uncharacterisitically angry) Geez, that's enough! Leave me alone, Rider!
In initial glances, Tsukihime's Ciel seems like the model senior student in Shiki's school full of friendly and polite energy. However, she is secretly a member of a group of assassins run by the church to hunt otherworldly beings who absolutely despises Arcueid and Akiha and oftentimes antagonizes them. In Carnival Phantasm, this antagonism of Arcueid is often played for laughs.
For Ciel, I think a medium female teen tone with a little maturity would fit well for Ciel, or something you think would work!
(happy) Good morning, Tohno-kun. (change tone to suddenly deviant) You'll be late if you keep entertaining that failure of a vampire.
(sends an attack at Arcuied) I won't accept this!!! (small pause) If you commute here… you'll completely ruin my dignity as the sole heroine of this school.
(cocky giggle) Oh, Shiki, I knew this would happen soon enough. It's what you'd call a self-evident truth. It's ridiculous for a vampire to blend into human society to begin with...
Satsuki Yumizuka' is one of Shiki's longtime friends from school. Satsuki has always had a crush on Shiki but is way too shy to tell him directly. In the story of Tsukihime, she is overshadowed by the other five heroines most of the story. This is played for comedy in Tsukihime. One sketch called the Afterschool Alleyway Alliance highlights her and two other overlooked characters trying to get attention.
Satsuki is a sweetheart, and her voice should reflect that. Aim for a Medium High teen voice with the ability to act sweet, shy, and painfully ignored.
(enthusiastic) Okay! So like, the three of us barely get any screen time, but I do think that we can do our best together in this fashion!
Satsuki: (flustered) B-But well, that's how the world is, right? So everyone should be-- (screams in fear surprise)
(distraught) You've got your calculations wrong…
Neco Arc Chaos is one of the five skit presenting Neco's. He is mature, and he often ponders about the deeper aspects of life. He is very often smoking and talking about manliness.
Give Chaos a deeper adult voice with a hint of smoker's voice to it.
(semi-dramatized delivery while smoking) Yes, that’s right, the Carnival Moment. (small pause) Happening every ten years, it is a time when various tales cross paths. It transcends obligations, adult circumstances, and morals. (pause, turn to more dramatic delivery) The Carnival begins!
(blows out smoke) Let's just do a table charge of 100,000 yen.
(blows out smoke) (matter of fact) Men are corrupted by darkness.
Rin Tohsaka is one of the main protagonists of Fate / Stay Night. She is the master of Archer during the Grail War. Rin has a firey personality and is an excellent mage. Despite being very intelligent and gifted, Rin sometimes comes up short due to her infatuation with Shirou and overconfidence. She is most definitely a tsundere character. In Carnival Phantasm her overconfidence and panicking is used as comedy often.
For Rin, try a Medium High to Medium young adult/teenager voice. Bring that tsundere energy to this very high energy role to bring out the angry, sweet, and intelligent parts of the young master.
(determined and fierce) We are going to win this, Archer! Got it?! We will use any dirty methods necessary to win the Holy Grail! (sees camera behind her and switch to sweet mode)Yes, we'll do our best fair and square!
(nervously determined) Turn on the power, and press record, turn on the power, and press record... (terrified gasp) This isn't a video tape recorder!!! What kind of device is this?!
(panicked scream) No, I can't take this anymore! It's all Shirou's fault because he didn't put a blank blu-ray disc in!!
Kuzuki is a teacher at Shirou's school and happens to be the master of Caster in the Grail War. Kuzuki is a very serious man, often drawn to violence. However, he is in love with Medea, but he is more subtle about it than his servant is. He is very similar to this in Carnival Phantasm and is often fairly monotone.
Use a lower registered voice for Kuzuki since he is older and mature.
(protective) You've had it tough Medea. Leave it to me to protect you for now on."
(blunt) Caster, it's about time for me to take off. I will be late tonight. See you later."
(still fairly monotone but complimentary) Did you make this figure? It's very good.
While I am perfectly comfortable doing the editing myself, having another person who is passionate about the source material to help edit some episodes together would make the finished product come out quicker. So, I would love some help to make that possible for our cast!
*Say something you think would fit*
The woman also known in the fanbase as Funny Vamp. Arcueid is the main heroine of Tsukihime. She is a vampire and White Princess of the True Ancestors. She joins up with Shiki in her quest after a chance violent encounter with Shiki a night earlier. Arcueid is very smitten with Shiki. Her personality is fun-loving (LOVES going to movies), outgoing, flirtatious, friendly to those outside of her targets and Ciel and Akiha, and interested in modern experiences she has not gotten to experience.
I believe Arcueid may have the most lines of any character, so this is a very important role! Her voice would fall Medium High to Medium, with a friendly, but confident vibe.
(enthusiastic in style of Sailor Moon next episode preview) You're going down! Magic Circuit Fullcount! It doesn't look spicy but it's super spicy! Marble Phantasm!
(annoyed) But Shiki, you won't even play with me these days. (grabs Shiki’s hand; delivery changes to excited) Come on. Nothing wrong with taking just today off, right? I want to go see a movie again!
(friendly) What are you guys talking about? (giggles) Being a student is too troublesome, so I became a janitor! Shiki! Does this suit me? What's the matter, you two?
The Female Narrator narrates the events of Berserker's First Errand in the style of a children's program narrator. I would like to see this approach in the fan dub as well!
Nested between the hills and the sea, Fuyuki City is abound with nature. (small pause) There is a large castle in the thick forest on the city outskirts. The owner of the castle is Ilyasviel von Einzbern-chan. She may look small, but she's known as the most powerful Master. She is currently living a quiet life in this castle with her maids.
Berserker looks a little worried. Best of luck! I'm sure Ilya is rooting for you! Get the errand done just right and show her how cool you are! (small pause) Oh?
Medusa is the servant of the Rider class. Her master is combination of Shinji and Sakura Matou, whom both have their share of issues. She has a very calm and mellow demeanor, but she will take action when necessary.
I picture Medusa having a Medium Low to Lower end voice, with a mature and possibly soothing sound to it.
(consoling read) Sakura, your brother is forcing you to do all of these terrible chores. Are you fine with Shinji ordering you around?"
(dramatic narration read) Sakura is unable to run away because his violence frightens her. But at the same time, she feels he can't get by without her. Sakura, girl of destiny. What lies ahead in this fruitless relationship?
(dry read while lying) Sorry, master. I missed where the brakes were by accident.
Medea is the Caster servant who was summoned by Souichirou Kuzuki. While the two are largely villains in the main Stay Night routes, the two are madly in love, especially Medea. Carnival Phantasm focuses more on that part of the character rather than the evil side. To complicate her romance, Medea is also obsessed with Saber to the point where she has a shrine devoted to her.
I believe a Medium to Medium Low, mildly sultry sounding type voice would work well for Medea. Make sure you can deliver some super melodramatic sounding lines at times.
(progressively increasing melodramatic delivery) Souichirou, I'm not actually that strong. I'm actually a really weak woman! I can't live without you! Please, hold me tight! I love you Souichirou!!
( enamored by Saber's cuteness) Saber's so cute... so cute! so cute! so cute! She's so tiny and strong and hungry! (suddenly determined) I have to capture her no matter what. Once I have her... (switch to enamored again) Maid clothes! Frilly dresses! Gothic style! I'll dress her up all day! (excited scream)
(evil chuckle) Why would I listen to the words of a little boy? Why don't you go study in your room?
Taiga is the adult of Shirou's household in age-sense and protectiveness of Shirou, but not really in many other ways. Taiga is a Kendo master, teacher, and is full of over the top energy. In Carnival Phantasm, she is used in the Next Episode Previews at the end of the episode where she usually yells nonsense frequently and doesn't talk about the next episode.
As previously stated, bring all of the hyper energy possible for Taiga. I could see an adult medium-high to medium-low working here for Taiga.
(getting audience's attention) The Tiger dojo begins now! The instructor will be me, the tiger of Fuyuki! Roar!! (note, actually say the word roar)
(dramatic) Humans are in all actuality, multimedia... (switch to hyper yelling again) the Tiger Dojo begins again right now! Thank you for all the fan letters! Now let's burn them!!!
(fiercely preparing for attack) Between Hell and Heaven, welcome to Hell! The Tiger Dojo begins today!
Nero Cladius, also know as Red Saber makes a special cameo for about thirty seconds during one of Taiga's Episode Previews. Nero is very theatrical, dramatic, and confident. She also doesn't like Artoria, the main Saber of the Fate franchise.
(responding to being asked who she is in theatrical manner) I am the pinnacle of the arts! The flower of Olympia! In today's word, I am Red Saber!
(disappointed) Umu, I heard this carnival was huge, but it looks like I arrived too late. How disappointing. I didn't expect the delay of Fate Extra to mess this up too.
Cu Chulainn is the Lancer servant summoned during the events of Stay Night by Kirei Kotomine. Despite being summoned by one of the main villains of the story, Cu maintains a solid set of morals and aids the protagonists in multiple paths with strength and fortitude. However, in Carnival Phantasm he played similarly to Kenny from South Park, as he dies comedically almost every sketch of the show.
Aim for a Medium to Medium Low voice for Cu. Put everything you can into your death screams since the guy dies a lot in this show.
(insert angry groan) Damn you, Archer... Just what kind of hero are you?! And don't call me a dog!!"
(in great pain) Uhhhh... just kill me already...
(out of nowhere put in deadly situation) "Wait, what. Where am I? No, no... wait! Ahhhhhh!!!
Kirei is one of the primary villains during multiple Fate stories. In Zero, he was Archer Gilgamesh's master, and in Stay Night he is Lancer Cu's master. He is the lead priest of the church in charge of officiating the war, but he is also a contestant. His strategies in the war are often toeing the lines of legality. During Carnival Phantasm, he does not compete directly in the games with his servant. He commentates instead.
For Kirei, use a low voice. You can make him sound like a middle aged adult or older. Use something that potentially sounds wise.
(commentating/explaining events) Hello, my name is Kirei Kotomine. Welcome to the Fifth Holy Grail War, the Holy Grail Gran Prix. I will be your commentator for this event.
(lecturing) The use of Noble Phantasms is strictly forbidden. This is because the repair bills to the city would be far too high for the church to pay...
(anime crying being played as gag while talking) That's because I can't hide the fact the entire school body's population is weaker.
Gilgamesh was summoned to the world in the prior Holy Grail War, but he remained in the world through a complicated set of events. Gilgamesh is one of the arrogant men to ever walk the earth and believes every rich and treasure of the world naturally belongs to him (including the Holy Grail). He is also madly in love with Saber despite her turning his marriage proposal down in the previous war. His arrogance is often played as comic relief in Carnival Phantasm, and he arrives to a good number of sketches without being invited.
(super arrogant delivery) "Well, aren't you a weaking. I'd play along longer, but you are just so painfully boring. (dramatic attack name delivery without shouting) Gate... of Babylon.
(arrogant laughter) Noble Phantasms are against the rules, you say? Ha, you forget... that I am the rules."
(more casual arrogance) Ha, it's even enough that I took one bite of a cake that terrible. In fact, you should be honored that I put it in my mouth."
Heracles (often known is Hercules) is the Berserker servant summoned by Illya in the current Grail War. Similar to many Berserkers in the Fate Universe, he does not talk and only roars and grunts, since he lost his humanity during life. Despite this persona, Heracles is very protective of and obedient to Illya.
As mentioned, Heracles does not talk, so doing your best beastlike battle roars and grunts will work the best here. I haven't decided on audio edits to the roars yet, but do the most intense roars and grunts you can.
(insert intense battle roar here)
(insert confused grunt here)
(give an excited but still beastlike roar)
Shinji is one of the antagonists of Stay Night. Shinji is technically the master of Rider with his sister, Sakura. Shinji is abusive to Sakura, and he is a pretty incompetent master due to his lack of mage skills. Think Draco Malfoy, but a lot worse. He primarily appears in Sakura's Novella parody as the villain is constantly getting beat up by Rider during the sketch because of his actions (played for laughs).
Try a Medium to Medium-High teenage voice for Shinji with plenty of snobbiness, arrogance, and whininess attached.
(angry) Sakura! Sakura!!! You hurry up and shovel the snow because I can't open the door! The whole house!!!
(snobby) Ahh, Nothing beats surfing the web in my warm room on a cold day like this.
(caught off guard after getting hit and angry) OWWWW!!! What are you thinking?! No one brings in the laundry pole with the laundry!
Sasaki is the main Assassin servant summoned during the events in Stay Night. He was summoned under complicated circumstances by the Caster servant, Medea. His sole task is to guard the gate of Ryuudo Temple, where Caster and her Master are stationed. While he does not appear all that much, his main gag in Carnival Phantasm is being unallowed to leave the temple at any point.
I can see Sasaki having anywhere from a Medium Low to Medium High Adult voice.
(teasing) You saw him off? So an estranged flower is prettier any peony or lily. How admirable"
(relieved) It feels so good to breath the outside air after so long!"
(sentimental talking to the Temple) Hey, Temple, if we win... wanna live together?
Shiki is the main male protagonist of Tsukihime. During the events of Tsukihime, Shiki slowly unveils secrets about his family, memories he has tucked away in his memory, and learns the depths of his ability to "see lines" on other beings he fights. In the anime route, he teams up with Arcueid after a strange, violent encounter a few nights earlier to hunt vampires. In Carnival Phantasm, his accidental harem is the brunt of a lot of jokes.
I imagine Shiki with a Medium to Medium Low teen male voice or your own approach!
(flustered and confused) What's the meaning of this?! Did you cast a spell on everyone? Or did you use your Mystic Eyes? Actually, don't involve everyone in your bit of fun!
(happy) That's because you aren't familiar with everyday food. There's all sorts of food I'd like you to try… I know! I know this great okonomiyaki restaurant, so let's go eat there sometime.
(delighted in head) I'm kind of touched that Arcueid's taking this so seriously… She kind of looks great in an apron, too...
There is a male Narrator who narrates the opening of the first skit of the show and the Gran Prix in episode 9. He has a very deep, grandiose voice in the original, but any easy listening, natural narrator voice would work here.
(very dramatic read) The Holy Grail War… It is a battle between mages for the Holy Grail, an omni-potent wish granting tool.(begin listing off all the fighting classes with small pauses in between) Saber, Lancer, Archer, Rider, Caster, Assassin, Berserker. These seven servants and the masters that control them must continue to fight until one team remains. (small pause) Even now, an intense battle for the Holy Grail is about to begin.
Hisui is the younger of the two twin maid that serve Shiki and Akiha in Tsukihime. She seems cold and emotionless on the outside, but after time she warms to Shiki and begins to do nice things for him behind the scenes.
For Hisui, do a monotone voice, akin Rei Ayanami or Yuki Nagato with a Medium to Medium low tone.
(monotone) Mister Shiki, you'll be sunburnt if you don't do anything about it.
(monotone) It's the season where even I emerge as a woman from my maid garment cocoon.
(deviant, but still mostly monotone) She did it on purpose.
Aoko is the young woman who acted as Shiki's teacher when he was very young and taught him how to control his Mystic Eyes. Shiki has immense respect for her and solely refers to her as teacher. In Carnival Phantasm, she appears in one skit... and also love Shiki... despite the age gap...
Despite being a younger woman, I still imagine her having a Medium Low to Medium young adult female voice.
(breathing heavily) At this rate you'll grow into a wonderful young man.
(friendly) I bought you a gift today, Shiki. (triumphant) Mystic Eye Sealers! (realizes it's the wrong item) Oh, wait, those are mine. I messed up...
Neco Arc is one of the five Neco's that appear and introduce new skits. Destiny is very into the romantic aspects of life and the skits presented. She can also be somewhat dramatic. Destiny also loves children.
Give her a surprisingly mature woman voice, with romantic vibes.
(on verge of tears) I've lost my confidence to continue here… Because… Because we all have the same faces!
(tearful scream) I'm leaving! I'm leaving for sure! I'm leaving! I’m leaving! I’m leaving!
(loving the children) You're so cute! So cute! If I was still living with my kid, he'd be just about your age!
Neco Arc Bubbles is one of the five Neco's who presents the next skit. Bubbles, technically, doesn't do that because she doesn't talk and only makes three noises while head bobbing.
[reference the original] Un-un-un! (while nodding three times)
Nrvnqsr was originally an alchemist employed by the church, but performing some research he was transformed into a dead apostle, combined with a multitude of beasts. He is an early villain in Tsukhime and appears a few times in Carnival Phantasm in minorly antagonistic roles.
I imagine Nrvnqsr having a Medium-Low to Low adult voice.
(noticing his enemy, intimidating) Well, well, if it isn't the True Ancestor princess.
(surprised) Wha?! (small pause) Wai- What?! (desperate struggling noises to hold off Arcueid) Don't say that!
Grail-kun is Carnival's silly version of the living incarnate of the Holy Grail itself. In the story, Grail-kun gives pretty horrible advice, is sort of ominous and intimidating, and only really helps when it wants to.
Grail-kun has a very male child-like voice.
(curious and slightly comforting) What's wrong, Shirou?
You're so hopeless, Shirou-kun. (pause) Hero Creation Kit!
(whisper and kind of scary delivery) You'll be a hero after killing a million people.
