Carnage of the Damned Voice Acting

Project Overview

Carnage of the Damned is a single-player asymmetrical survival PvE horror game developed using Game Maker Studio 1.4 and published by Baxverse.

It is a one-versus-four game in which the player can choose to take the role of a Killer or play as one of the many Survivors; the Killer must hunt and trap each Survivor on sacrificial cages to appease a malevolent force known as the Whole, while the Survivors have to avoid being caught and power up the exit gates by working together to fix five Altars.

For this project and with Chapter 3 almost complete. I have decided to open up to voice actors for this game. Graveman, Baxter Ewers and Effigy are not on here due to either having a voice actor or may have been casted elsewhere.

Feel free to check out the game for now here as there are many changes in this next update with the Voice Actors here - https://gamejolt.com/games/carnage-of-the-damned/1050236

Feel free to check out the Wiki page of Carnage of the Damned as well! - https://baxverse.fandom.com/wiki/Carnage_of_the_Damned_(Game)

The Following is an Requirement that I am looking for:

  • 3 Takes Per Line in the form of ABC Format.

  • A Clear Mic with little-to-no background sounds.

  • Edited or Unedited is fine with me.

  • A Discord Handle so I can contact you if you've been chosen.

The Newest Survivor coming to this update, Marisol Vega is a upcoming survivor for CHAPTER 3: Ashes in the Cornfield. She is a perceptive Survivor, who is skilled at remaining composed under pressure, finding safe routes during chases, and making the most opportunities to hinder the Killer.

Her personal perks, Clear Eyes, Emergency Route, and Flash Exposure, allow her to resist fear/disoriented effects of the Killer's Power, reveal nearby escape routes after breaking away from chase, and extend the duration of Blind and Stun effects inflicted on the Killer.

Lore: "Marisol Vega was a wildfire photographer and journalist who traveled disaster zones documenting communities erased by negligence. She first heard the story of Hollowmere while investigating abandoned farmland and unexplained disappearances.

Locals spoke of a burning figure stalking the cornfields after sunset. She didn’t believe the stories.

Until she saw him.

Her camera captured only fragments, glowing eyes, smoke moving against the wind and a silhouette hanging motionless among dead crops. Then the fields ignited around her. As she ran through blazing rows of corn, thick black Fog swallowed the fire whole.

Now trapped inside the Whole's realm, Marisol must survive while uncovering the truth behind The Cinder's curse."

Her Voice: Marisol should feel grounded, observant, and resilient, with the exhaustion of someone whose seen real disasters, but not so hardened to where she loses empathy.

Valerie Wren is the first Survivor in the game. She is a cunning Survivor, able to outmaneuver her pursuers and remain hidden after dangerous encounters.

Her personal Perks, Hunter's Instinct, Monsters Bleed, and Off The Grid, reveal the Killer's location after a successful escape, reduce the effects of Fear, and hide signs of her movement after a chase ends.

She is skilled at escaping pursuit and regaining control of a situation. Her Perks help her survive prolonged encounters while making it harder for Killers to track and recapture her.

Lore: "Valerie Wren was a street medic when the world still made sense. She saved lives in alleyways, behind burning buildings, and in places cops feared to go. But none of that prepared her for what came for her sister.

The murders began in threes. Then six. Then twelve. By the time Valerie realized the police were covering it up, it was too late. Her sister was gone—ripped apart by something with a face like a sack and eyes full of hunger. Valerie survived by pure instinct. And when the first one fell, she learned: monsters bleed too.

She vanished after that night, off-grid. Turned her trauma into purpose. Every urban legend, every whispered killer, every cursed thing she hunted like prey.

Entering the Fog: The Fog took her mid-fight. Mid-breath. She was ready to die taking down the creature known as "The Slaughterman" but when she struck the killing blow, the world warped. The lights failed. Time broke. She awoke in The Fog, baton in hand, surrounded by the sounds of weeping dirt and growling shadows. But she didn't panic. She stood up, found her footing, and whispered:

"Great, another nightmare. I know how to fight those.""

Her Voice: Valerie should sound weathered, controlled, and quietly dangerous—someone who has seen everything but refuses to let them own her.

Cameron Ross is the second Survivor in the game. He is a resilient Survivor, able to aid his teammates and resist the effects of terror and illusion.

His personal Perks, Drag Me Back, Lucid Anchor, and Wake Up!, provide mobility and recovery after altruistic actions, reduce the impact of mental afflictions, and allow him to instantly dispel illusions.

He is skilled at keeping a clear mind under pressure. His Perks help him support others while remaining difficult to hinder through fear, confusion, and psychological attacks.

Lore: "Cameron Ross had always been a fighter — both in and out of the ring. Trained in street-level martial arts by his mother, a dream therapist, Cameron was taught to face nightmares through lucid dreaming. He suffered from insomnia, anxiety, and the recurring image of a black-gloved hand dragging someone into darkness.

His twin sister, Maya, underwent dream therapy with Elias Vane after struggling with sleep paralysis. She never work up.

Wracked with guilt, Cameron turned to lucid dreaming himself, trying to dive into the same mental corridors his sister might be trapped in. He began confronting twisted versions of his past, eventually reaching a locked subconscious realm filled with decayed dream fragments. There, he caught fleeting glimpses of Maya — and a man with bleeding eyes and a cruel smile.

When he attempted to awaken with Maya in tow, they were both pulled deeper instead. Cameron awoke not in his bedroom, but in a place ruled by mist, whispers, and ancient hunger. The Fog had found his fear. And it liked his fight."

His Voice: Cameron should feel like someone who is exhausted but refuses to break. He shouldn't sound like a stereotypical tough guy or an emotionless action hero. His strength comes from restraint: he's scared, guilty, and sleep-deprived, but he keeps moving because he would never give up abandoning Maya.

Elijah Kane is the third Survivor in the game. He  is a resourceful Survivor, able to maintain critical objectives and support his allies when they need him most.

His personal Perks, Jury Rig, Keep It Running, and Never Leave a Friend, allow him to stabilize regressing Altars, improve their repair efficiency, and grant bursts of speed to himself and his teammates after acts of rescue and healing.

He is skilled at keeping both machinery and people going under pressure. His Perks help his team recover from setbacks, maintain progress on objectives, and escape danger together.

Lore: "Elijah Kane lived a life of motion. Raised in the Louisiana bayou, he was the kind of man who could fix a carburetor with one hand and catch a catfish with the other. His garage was a roadside legend-a beacon to travelers who broke down between nowhere and nothing. But Elijah wasn't content with grease and wrenches. He volunteered with disaster relief crews, fixing power lines after storms and rebuilding homes lost to flood and flame. A quiet hero. A man who didn't need thanks.

One day, he received a letter from a childhood friend named Benjy who asked for help. The message was cryptic, frantic, begging Elijah to come north to a town near Deepwoods. He packed his truck and set off immediately. But what he found wasn't his friend. It was rot. It was silence. It was a trail of blood leading deep in the trees.

Elijah followed it anyway.

In the darkest heart of the woods, he found remnants of a slaughter-shreds of clothing, crushed phones, empty boots. Then, he heard the chainsaw. Not a machine... a growl. A howl of metal hungry for flesh. He ran. But just as he reached the treeline, The Fog rose. He struck his flint. No spark. He turned to run, but the path was gone. The woods had swallowed him whole. Now, inside The Whole's realm, Elijah uses every survival skill he knows. He'll fight the darkness tooth and nail.

Because somewhere in this twisted realm... he knows Benjy's still out there.

And he never leaves a friend behind."

Noah Raines is the fourth Survivor in the game. He is a determined Survivor, able to uncover the Killer's movements and share vital information with his allies.

His personal Perks, Buried Truth, Evidence Trail, and Marked Truth, reward him for staying close to danger, provide resistance against fear and debilitating effects, and reveal the Killer's location to nearby Survivors.

He is skilled at gathering intelligence and exposing hidden threats. His Perks help his team track the Killer, coordinate their actions, and stay one step ahead of danger.

Lore: "Noah Raines lived in the city but never forgot the woods. His older brother, Jordan, had been a wildland firefighter until a fire consumed his unit during an illegal logging operation gone wrong. The company claimed it was an accident. Noah knew better.

He left his job, joined an environmental activist group, and dedicated himself to exposing corporate greed and ecological destruction. His journey eventually led him to Blackthorn Forest, where several of his fellow investigators had recently gone missing. Locals warned him of a "Warden" in the woods, some whispered a myth about a guardian spirit gone mad.

Noah ventured in alone, armed with only his resolve and a camera. What he found was a nightmare: claw marks on trees, shattered bones draped in vines, and finally... her. A towering woman with bark-like skin and a bunny mask. She saw him. Chased him. Would have killed him.

But something intervened.

As Noah fled into a dense thicket, a strange fog poured in like a flood. Time froze. Sound stopped. He stumbled into a clearing that shouldn't exist, with towering gates and twisted statues. He had crossed into The Fog, pulled into the eternal struggle between prey and predator.

Now he fights not just for survival, but for the memory of his brother and to bring truth to a world lost in shadow."

Her personal Perks, Exposé, Live Broadcast, and Rolling Footage, allow her to uncover the Killer's actions, grant resistance against deception, and provide valuable Clarity to herself and her teammates during moments of danger.

She excels at exposing hidden threats and keeping her team informed. Her Perks reward observation and awareness, helping Survivors react quickly to the Killer's movements while maintaining their composure in the face of supernatural horrors.

Lore: "News Reporter, Lacey Quinn was a rising star at a major news outlet, known for exposing government corruption and supernatural conspiracies. Her latest story led her to the infamous abandoned building known as the Blackvale Manor, tracking whispers of the vanished "Governess" and a string of disappearances in the nearby town.

Despite the warnings she was told, she entered the abandoned estate... and once she did, a black, thick, icy-cold fog swallowed her whole. The crew knew something was happening as they got in the building, there was no sight of Lacey or anything. What lied was her camera, footage distorted by something unearthly.

Lacey now fights not just to survive, but to document the truth, no matter how cursed, supernatural or borderline psychotic the battles she faces are."

His personal Perks, Closure, Emotional Distance, and Last Goodbye, allow him to recover from harmful effects at an accelerated rate, gain speed after escaping a Chase, and pick himself up from the Dying State when no allies are nearby.

He excels at enduring hardship and surviving against overwhelming odds. His Perks reward independence and determination, helping him break free from the Killer's influence and continue fighting even when all hope seems lost.

Lore: "Evan loved Rosy-but love turned into surveillance, control, and fear.

Breaking up was supposed to be freedom.

Instead, he woke up in the Fog-where every footstep sounded like hers.

He doesn't want revenge. He doesn't want answers.

He just wants to survive."

The Newest Killer coming to this update, The Cinder, real name Gideon Voss is a upcoming killer for CHAPTER 3: Ashes in the Cornfield. He is a aera-control killer who can place down flames from his pitchfork and unleash a pillar of Flames to cause Survivors to panic.

His personal perks, Curse: Burn the Harvest, Fuel for the Flame and Smoke Chokes has a Curse Totem punish grouped Survivors, cause Altars with high progress to regress faster after injuring a Survivor, and causes Survivors to make a loud noise for a duration after exiting lockers.

Lore: "Gideon Voss was once a struggling farmer living on the outskirts of Hollowmere County. Generations of drought destroyed his crops year after year, while nearby corporations bought up farmland and poisoned the remaining soil with industrial runoff.

The final blow came during harvest season.

A fire erupted across the fields one dry October night. The townsfolk claimed Gideon started it himself for insurance money. They locked him inside his own barn while the flames spread. No one came to help. As his skin burned and smoke filled his lungs, Gideon screamed not for mercy—but for revenge.

Something answered. When the barn collapsed, the fire did not die. It stood up. Straw fused to charred flesh. Rusted farming hooks pierced blackened limbs. A pumpkin-orange glow burned behind a stitched burlap face. The Cinder walked out of the ashes. And Hollowmere burned with him. When the last farmhouse collapsed into embers, a thick black Fog rolled through the scorched cornfields.

The fire welcomed it."

His Voice: Gideon is a classic, brutal slasher brought to life with a elemental twist. He should sound deep, subterranean, and gravelly, like stones grating together or heavy timbers shifting in a dying fire. Layered underneath is his heavy, resonant vocal cords should be a subtle texture of crackling flames, snapping embers, and dry rustle of charred straw and burlap. When he speaks it sounds as though the air itself is superheated and scorching, causing Survivors to gasp for air.

The Dreambinder, real name Elias Vane is the second killer in the base roster. He is a ranged killer that can shoot fireballs of nightmare energy from his demonic hand.

His personal perks, Fractured Ego, Lucid Collapse, and Nightmares Take Root, has Survivors suffer from hallucinations after failing a Skill Check, suffer Hallucinations after escaping a chase, and have Fear effects decay much slower on Survivors.

Lore: "Elias Vane was a respected but deeply controversial neurologist and dream therapist, fascinated by the bridge between conscious trauma and subconscious fear. At the Wellspring Sleep Institute, he pioneered methods to isolate nightmares and remove them through sensory deprivation and lucid reprogramming. But his obsession grew dark - he began implanting manufactured nightmares into patients to study how far the mind could be stretched before it broke.

After the mysterious coma of a teenage girl during one of his sessions, Elias was discredited. Yet in secret, he continued his trials - on himself. For weeks, he starved his senses, drifting deeper into the dream realm until he no longer woke.

In that twilight state, his ego fractured, and what emerged was The Dreambinder — a being of illusions and nightmare traps, feeding off the fears of others. He was no longer healing trauma — he was the trauma. And something... some Presence, watching from behind the veil of dreams, noticed him."

His Voice: Elias is a dream demon who speaks in Psychological Whispers, Clinical Authority, and a fractured, otherworldly nightmare. He takes a lot of inspiration from Freddy Krueger since that's how he was based off of him

The Reaper, real name Silas Dorne, is the third killer in the base game. He  is a high-mobility Killer, able to cover large distances in a short amount of time and instantly down Survivors using his Chainsaw

His personal Perks, Eminent Domain, Fuel the Saw, and Harvest Season has the Survivor's aura revealed the longer they linger in his Terror Radius, break pallets or altars granting action speed, and his recovery speed permanently for the trial when downing a Survivor.

Lore: "Silas Dorne wasn't born evil. He was shaped by the world that saw him as less than nothing. He lived alone in the woods of Deepwoods, Arkansas-a forgotten man living in a forgotten place. His family had long passed, and the only company he kept was the rustle of pine needles, the howls of wolves, and the purring of his chainsaw as he chopped wood. He had his land, his livestock, and his silence. But silence does not keep away greed.

A real estate conglomerate, masked behind friendly contractors and paperwork, came for his home. They claimed eminent domain, built roads where trees once stood, and polluted his river with diesel and runoff. His pleas were ignored. His protests met with sneers. They burned his cabin one night, "accidentally". The livestock were found mutilated. The authorities? They turned a blind eye.

The next day, Silas vanished.

Deep within a sacred grove that locals whispered was cursed, Silas made a final plea-to anything that could listen. The ground split. Voices answered. Something old and hungry reached out. In exchange for his soul, it would give him the strength to harvest every last one of those who took from him.

Silas returned a monster. The man was gone. Only The Reaper remained.

When the last body fell and the forest ran red, a black, thick, cold fog slithered between the trees. It whispered not for vengeance... but for eternity.

He stepped forward without fear.

And the chainsaw roared."

His Voice: Reaper's voice isn't about speaking, it's about someone whose so angry, speaking would be out of character. He is a Spirit of Vengeance after what has happened to him, a wrathful angry big guy with a chainsaw. Basically, think of Bubba from TCM, but instead of Bubba being outright afraid of his family and killing out of fear, he's instead killing out of rage and anger.

The Warden, real name Elva Marsh, is the fourth killer in the base game. She is an area-control Killer, able to apply pressure across the Map by placing Sacred Groves for Survivors to step into. She can also use these traps to give her haste.

Her personal Perks, Nature Reclaims, No Trespassing, and Rooted Judgement has Altars regress at double the speed when damaged, grant Survivors a movement speed penalty, and leave thick root trails that persist longer than normal scratch marks.

Lore: "Elva Marsh was born into a family of homesteaders who lived deep within the wildest reaches of Blackthorn Forest. Her childhood was shaped by the rhythm of the woods: chopping firewood, foraging herbs, and learning to respect the balance of nature. The Marsh family believed the forest was sacred, a living spirit that must be guarded.

But progress came crashing in with chainsaws and trucks. A corporate logging firm bought out the land rights and began tearing the forest down tree by tree. Elva's father protested, but one day, he didn't return. Then her mother and younger sister vanished. Only their screams, echoing from beyond the tree line, hinted at their fate.

Wracked with grief, Elva retreated into the deepest part of the woods, hiding among gnarled roots and ancient growth. There, she found an old hollow grove said to be cursed-where trees whispered, and shadows moved without light. In her despair, Elva made a pact with the spirit of the forest, trading her soul for vengeance. Her flesh became bark. Her tears turned to sap. The bunny mask, once worn during games with her sister, now became a symbol as a grim mockery of innocence.

She slaughtered the loggers, one by one, and made the grove her domain.

One stormy night, as she stood among the broken machines and mangled bodies, a strange black fog crept in. It whispered promises of a new forest to guard, an eternal realm of killers and survivors. Elva stepped forward, axe in hand, into The Fog, where her rage could root and thrive forever."

Her Voice: Elva is very animalistic with a twisted nature. She should sound like a creature of raw, earthy fury and profound sorrow-rooted directly to nature, violence, and the loss of her childhood. It also should carry a rough, gravelly weight, like grinding stones or splintering wood. Unfortunately, she is not a copy of The Huntress from DBD gameplay wise, it's only the mask that's similar in case if you get confused.

Her personal Perks, Corrective Measures, Final Lesson, and Indoctrination has Survivors suffer a repair and healing speed penalty, suffer severe immobilization, and build a debuff that slows their actions.

Lore: "In the 1800s, Evangeline Harrow, a stern and enigmatic governess at Blackvale Manor, a secluded estate where children of the elite were taught obedience through cruelty and fear. With her strict methods and uncanny ability to manipulate other's behavior, she maintained control with the finesse of a puppeteer. Rumors spread of children and students disappearing, said to be "sent away" after facing disobedience. But the truth was darker. She was conducting "corrections" in the manor's forgotten catacombs, convinced she was forging a new breed of obedient minds.

One stormy evening, the children finally rose against her. Yet as they cornered her, the power goes out... and none of them were ever seen again. The manor was later found abandoned, with Evangeline's parasol left skewering a child's chalkboard, it's blade, red.

The Fog had captured her granting her eternity to punish, torture and kill survivors in the name of "obedience"."

Roslyn Hale, also known as Rosy, or her killer name "The Devoted" is a Killer that was introduced in CHAPTER 2: Love, Left to Rot. She is a stalker-based killer that can gain haste when chasing a survivor.

Her personal perks, If I Can't Have You, Love Hurts, and Still Thinking About Me has Altars regress by 15% when a chase starts, gives survivors a 4% penalty healing speed if they are within 14 meters, and shows the Aura of the Survivor who rescued another from a Cage.

Lore: "Roslyn Hale loved deeply-and destructively.

After a short but intense relationship, her boyfriend ended things, citing fear, suffocation, and instability. Rosy refused to accept the separation, insisting that love meant permanence. She followed him, watched him, waited for signs he would 'remember what they had.'

When he disappeared into the Fog, Rosy believed the world had stolen him away.

She followed.

The Whole welcomed her devotion-not because she was cruel, but because she would do anything for love."

Her Voice: Roslyn is obsessive, toxic, and in a desperate delusion. She doesn't view herself as a monster, she views herself as a hopelessly devoted lover robbed of her "happily ever after" with Evan. She should effortlessly sound between a breathy, fragile, high-pitched sweet girl with a high pitch voice of a cute girlfriend, hiding behind a desperate, cracking edge of absolute panic and rage.

Think of Nikki from Obsession as a example, I cannot believe I had released this chapter at the time Obsession came to theaters a week prior. Anyway, instead of her being a One Wish Willow victim, she instead acts similar to Nikki, but with a mix of a Yandere Amy Rose from Sonic the Hedgehog.
