Project Overview

What is this?


A comic dub of the beloved Boyfriends web series- This particular project is going to be LGBTQ+ so if you're not supportive of that then please continue to scroll. This series is going to be framed in such a way to try make the comic seem almost animated. So we're gonna need you to do to a lot of anime etc sounds such as gasps, startled screams, and unnecessary noises.

For those of you unfamiliar with the premise: Boyfriends is a comic about getting yourself a boyfriend... or multiple boyfriends! Four college students begin a polyamorous relationship and navigate the adventure that is their dating life!


Requirements 

  • Must be 16+ (we're willing to make exceptions depending on your potential and how good of a voice actor you are in general.)
  • Must be okay with swearing
  • LGBTQ+ friendly
  • Please use a good mic and have a clear voice when you audition. Make sure your annunciation is on point so we can actually understand what you're saying.
  • We'll be using the .mp3 format
  • Do at least 2 takes per line when auditioning. 
  • Please only audition if you are going to be active and committed. Communication is key so please keep in contact with us if you do get cast.
  • Must be comfortable with sex topics.

Final Notes

  • Please don't read what's between the parenthesis or the character info. Those are simply there to provide context and give you an idea about the character and what emotion they're trying to convey.


  • Discord is required as we utilize it to organize group rehearsals, deliver announcements, and distribute scripts (it's also been an incredibly useful tool for getting to know the people affiliated with the project and we've had a fair bit of fun with it).


  • PLEASE DO NOT SLATE YOUR AUDITIONS


  • You may be asked to audition for additional roles if your voice has range and emotion.


  • New roles will be added whenever we meet a new significant character! Wink wink. So make sure to keep yourself updated with this casting call!

  • **HIATUS**

    I hope everyone is well-rested when they've received this message and have had a good week so far! I actually have a very important announcement to make. I am here to announce that Boyfriends will be put on a **HIATUS** until we have sorted other important matters out. There's no need to worry about this project, we'll still be actively working on it and working towards getting someone to fill in for Nerd's VA but for the time being it will be put on hold. For now we'll be focusing on our short Genshin Comic Dubs as well as some DDLC Comic Dubs to start building an audience for our channel and get everyone's voice out there! We know growing a channel from the ground up is no easy task which is why we're doing our best to upload videos on a scheduled basis and build a community.   • Nerd Auditions Reopened!

    Unfortunately, the original voice actor of Nerd has decided to step down and no longer continue doing work for the series due to personal reasons that I will not go into detail. We hate to see them go but we're glad they told us sooner rather than later! It was fun having him while it lasted. They were incredibly talented and it is no doubt we'll miss them but we have to move on. That being said, we're in dire need of a new voice actor for Nerd! We're reopening auditions on the Casting Call page so if any of you would like to pitch in and spread the word about us that'd be awesome!   • Boyfriends Callbacks!

    I have come here to announce that the project is officially CLOSED and we will begin callbacks for all the main character roles that were put out. As It’s been very hard choosing who I think is the perfect fit for each character, as I’m going through this selection process very strictly and rigorously. With that being said, everyone that we believe has the potential to move on to the next stage. Congrats to those who made it! And well done to the others who auditioned! You all did incredibly!

    There has been a lot of incredible feed back that we've received on this project though I'm not sure we found the right voice for Nerd yet so I decided to add more references for his voice so we could get more of a variety of different voices and then further find the perfect voice for him!
