Blood And Oblivion
Project Overview
Seeking Animators for "Blood and Oblivion" Scenes!
I'm looking for animators to bring key scenes from my book, Blood and Oblivion, to life and help generate more traction for the project. The story follows a young man who wakes up in a cold, dark cell with no memory of who he is or how he got there. He soon learns that he willingly erased his past in exchange for a chance to fight in a brutal colosseum—where the only way to survive is to win.
This doesn't have to be a long or overly polished animation—I just want to see how different artists envision these intense and emotional moments! Whether it's a short fight sequence or a dramatic character shot, I'm excited to collaborate and bring this world to life.
If you're interested, feel free to reach out!
If I like your work I will send you more so you can get started on BAO

Personality:Varis is a mix of determination and vulnerability. He’s a natural leader, even if he doesn’t realize it yet, with a quiet confidence that inspires others to follow him. He’s resourceful and quick-thinking, able to adapt to new situations even when he’s out of his depth. Despite his amnesia, he carries a sense of purpose, driven by the faint hope that there’s someone out there waiting for him. He’s compassionate and empathetic, often putting others’ needs before his own, but he’s not naive—he knows the world he’s in is brutal, and he’s willing to do what it takes to survive. His humor is dry and understated, often used to mask his fear or discomfort.
Voice Description:Varis’s voice is calm and steady, with a natural warmth that makes him easy to trust. It’s not overly deep, but it has a grounded, resonant quality that carries weight and authority when he needs it. There’s a slight roughness to his tone, as if he’s been through more than his years suggest. His speech is measured and thoughtful, with a tendency to pause before answering, as if he’s weighing his words carefully. When he’s angry or determined, his voice hardens, becoming sharper and more intense, but it never loses its underlying humanity.
Voice Direction:Tone: Grounded, warm, and steady, with a slight roughness.
Emotional Range: Varis’s voice should convey determination, vulnerability, and quiet strength. He’s not overly dramatic, but his emotions simmer beneath the surface, occasionally breaking through in moments of intensity.
Pacing: Measured and thoughtful, with occasional bursts of urgency or intensity during moments of action or high emotion.
Key Traits: Relatable, human, and inspiring. Even in his darkest moments, there’s a spark of hope in his voice that makes you root for him.

Determined, with a hint of frustration: “I don’t know who I am, or why I’m here. But I do know this—I’m not going to just sit here and wait for them to drag me into the arena. If I’m going to die, I’m going to die on my feet.”
Calm, reassuring: “We’re in the same boat, Jarek. Might as well row together. You don’t have to do this alone.”
Soft, almost to himself: “Whoever I was before… whoever I’m fighting for… I hope they’re worth it.”
Personality:Jarek is a reluctant fighter, filled with doubt and self-loathing. He’s cynical and quick to assume the worst, often masking his fear with sarcasm or anger. Despite his tough exterior, he’s deeply vulnerable, struggling with the weight of his erased past and the uncertainty of his future. He’s not a natural leader like Varis, but he’s fiercely loyal to those who earn his trust. Over time, he begins to find his own strength, though it’s a slow and painful process. His humor is biting and self-deprecating, often used as a defense mechanism.
Voice Description:Jarek’s voice is slightly higher-pitched than Varis’s, with a sharp, biting quality that reflects his cynicism and frustration. There’s a constant edge of tension in his tone, as if he’s always on the verge of snapping. When he’s angry or scared, his voice becomes more strained and intense, but when he’s calm, it softens into something almost vulnerable. He speaks quickly, often cutting people off or interrupting them, but there are moments when he slows down, his voice becoming quieter and more introspective.
Tone: Slightly higher-pitched, with a sharp, biting quality. There’s a constant edge of tension in his voice.
Emotional Range: Cynical and sarcastic, but with moments of vulnerability and raw emotion. His voice should convey a sense of inner turmoil and self-doubt.
Pacing: Quick and sharp, often cutting people off or interrupting them. Slows down during moments of introspection or vulnerability.
Key Traits: Relatable, flawed, and human. He’s the kind of character who grows on you over time, even if he’s difficult to like at first.

Frustrated, with a touch of fear: “I don’t even know who I am! I don’t know why I’m here! And you want me to fight for what? For some ghost of a life I can’t even remember?”
Raw, emotional: “I don’t even know if they’re real. For all I know, they’re just… just a name on a piece of paper. A ghost.”
Sarcastic And Teasingly: “You’re one to talk. You looked like you were about to drop that sword earlier.”
Personality:Kael is a hardened survivor with a no-nonsense attitude. He’s seen it all and has little patience for hesitation or self-pity. Despite his gruff exterior, he has a sense of duty to those under his care, especially new recruits like Varis and Jarek. He’s not one for sugarcoating the truth, often delivering harsh realities with blunt honesty. However, beneath his tough exterior lies a man who understands loss and desperation, and he respects those who show grit and determination. He’s a natural mentor, though his teaching style is more about tough love than gentle guidance.
Voice Description:Kael’s voice is deep, gravelly, and commanding, with a rough edge that suggests years of shouting over the noise of battle. His tone is often gruff and no-nonsense, but there’s a subtle warmth that comes through when he’s speaking to someone he respects. He speaks in short, direct sentences, rarely wasting words. When he’s angry or frustrated, his voice becomes sharper and more intense, but he rarely raises it unless absolutely necessary.
Voice Direction for Kael:Tone: Deep, gravelly, and commanding, with a rough edge.
Emotional Range: Gruff and no-nonsense, but with occasional moments of subtle warmth or empathy. His voice should convey authority and experience.
Pacing: Short, direct sentences. He doesn’t waste words.
Key Traits: Tough, grounded, and inspiring in a no-nonsense way. He’s the kind of character who commands respect without asking for it.

Dry, almost sarcastic: “Not bad for a beginner. But the arena doesn’t care about potential. It cares about results.”
Gruff, with a hint of empathy: “I’ve been where you are. Woke up in that cell, no memories, no idea what the hell was going on. I survived. Barely. Now I make sure others have a fighting chance.”
Sharp, commanding: “You’re telegraphing your moves. Don’t make it so obvious. Keep him guessing.”

Ex of his first appearance: (will tell you more about the scene if you get the role)
The Vorrath is a towering, monstrous hybrid beast, standing nearly twice the height of a man. Its body is a grotesque fusion of different creatures, with a patchwork hide made of thick, scaly plates and matted fur, giving it a rugged, uneven texture. The fur is clumped and coarse, while the scales glisten with a sickly sheen under light. Its massive head features a powerful, stone-crushing jaw lined with jagged, saliva-dripping teeth. Its eyes glow with an unnatural pale yellow light, piercing and unsettling. Two thick, curved horns, each as wide as a tree trunk, jut from its skull, adding to its intimidating presence.
The Vorrath’s arms are disproportionately large, with clawed hands that drag along the ground as it moves. Its legs are thick and muscular, built for crushing rather than speed, and its long, whip-like tail is covered in jagged spines, leaving deep grooves in the sand as it lashes behind it. The creature’s movements are deliberate and calculated, exuding a sense of primal menace. Its breath comes in heavy, guttural snorts, sending plumes of steam into the air.
Key Features to Highlight:
Patchwork Hide: A mix of scaly plates and matted fur, with a rough, uneven texture.
Massive Head: Prominent jaw with jagged teeth, glowing yellow eyes, and two large, curved horns.
Disproportionate Arms: Oversized, clawed hands that drag on the ground.
Thick Legs: Powerful and muscular, built for crushing.
Spined Tail: Long, whip-like, and covered in jagged spines.
Overall Posture: Deliberate, menacing, and slightly hunched, with a sense of raw power.

I'm looking for an animator to bring a fight scene from my book to life. It doesn’t need to be too long or perfect—I just want to see how others envision the action!
Example of part of the scene:
The Vorrath (if you get the part, I will tell you what this is) lunged forward with a speed that belied its massive size, its claws tearing through the sand as it charged at Tera. The crowd roared, a deafening wave of sound that seemed to shake the very foundations of the Colosseum. But Tera didn’t flinch. She stood her ground, her body coiled like a spring, her hand resting lightly on the hilt of her sword.
Varis leaned forward in his seat, his hands gripping the edge of the stone bench.
“She’s not moving,” Varis said, his voice tight with panic. “Why isn’t she moving?”
Kael sat beside him, his arms crossed, his eyes fixed on the arena. “Watch,” he said, his tone calm but firm. “She’s waiting for the right moment. Patience is the first lesson.”
The Vorrath was almost upon her, its jaws wide, its teeth gleaming like daggers. At the last possible second, Tera sidestepped with a fluid grace, her body twisting like a ribbon in the wind. The Vorrath’s claws swiped at her, but she ducked low, her movements so precise they seemed almost preternatural. The crowd gasped as the beast’s claws missed her by inches, the force of the swing sending a spray of sand into the air.

I'm looking for an animator to bring a scene to life featuring a character with no memory. It doesn’t have to be perfect—I just want to see how others interpret the concept!
Ex:
His thoughts were sluggish, tangled. He struggled to move, every muscle stiff, his body aching like he’d been beaten in his sleep. His hands found the ground, pressing against the cold stone as he tried to push himself up. His arms shook under the weight of his own body. His stomach twisted, nausea rising in his throat.
He had no idea where he was.
No idea how he got here.
No idea who he even was.
Panic surged through him like wildfire. His breathing grew sharp, frantic. He scrambled back, his bare feet scraping against the floor as he pressed himself into the nearest wall. His chest heaved. His heart pounded against his ribs.
Nothing. No memories, no name, not even a familiar feeling to grasp onto. It was like his mind had been hollowed out, leaving only instinct and fear behind.
The cold stone floor pressed against his skin, sending sharp pangs through his body as he forced himself to sit up. His hands, still shaky, searched the ground beneath him. He found the rough surface of stone, and slowly, painfully, pushed himself to his feet. His legs were weak, unsteady, like newborn limbs, but he managed to stand

Ex of his first appearance: (will tell you more about the scene if you get the role)
Brown hair fell in untamed waves around his face, wild and tangled, as though it hadn’t seen a comb in weeks. His features were sharp—defined cheekbones, a strong jawline—but there was something soft about them, too, a quiet gentleness that didn’t seem to match the confusion in his eyes. His eyes—those eyes—were a deep, stormy blue. They were intense, searching, as though they were waiting for something… or someone.

He was tall, broad-shouldered, his frame solid with muscle. A thick scar ran from his jaw to his brow, and his dark eyes studied him with something between amusement and pity. He crossed his arms, leaning against the doorframe.

But Tera was nothing like that. She was lean, her frame wiry and compact, built for speed rather than raw power. Her dark hair, streaked with silver, was pulled back into a tight braid that fell to the middle of her back, swaying slightly as she walked. Her face was sharp, all angles and edges, with high cheekbones and a jawline that could cut stone. Her eyes, a piercing gray, scanned the arena with a calm, almost disinterested gaze, as if she were already bored by what awaited her.

Jarek sat slumped against the far wall, his knees drawn up to his chest, his arms wrapped tightly around them. His dark hair hung in tangled strands over his face, and his eyes were fixed on the ground, unseeing. He hadn’t moved in hours. Not since they’d dragged him here. Not since he’d realized where he was
