About Blank Canvas:
It is a slice of life story about college students and the struggles of trying to pursue their dreams that'll visually look like a comic dub but animated. As of right now, everything is in early production, as storyboards and scripts are being made. The project is starting off small for now, with the content being short skits and scenes, but we're hoping to make them better quality and longer in the future.
AUDITIONEE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be 18+ to audition for this project.
Avoid background noises, plosives and such.
No slating auditions.
Must have good audio equipment and a properly treated space to record. (XLR mic's preferred)
Communication will be done through Discord.
Rate is $3 per line through PayPal.
Characters ARE involved in suggestive content.

About: Lance, the jack-of-all-trades, a clumsy, dorky guy who is always searching for his spot in the world with various hobbies ranging from dancing to skating to cooking, he still can’t seem to find a calling that speaks to him the most. He approaches life with an open mind and a warm heart, especially towards his friends, family, and his dad’s beloved birds (who he treats like royalty). However, his quirky nature often puts him in awkward situations, particularly romantic ones where his sincerity sometimes gets tangled in his dorkiness.

Like, uh, *really*, gorgeous and, uh, maybe you and I could hang out for lunch or something based on a coin flip! If it lands on heads you and me, lunch. If it lands on tails, then, uhhh, . . . I . . . *I don't really know.* I don't want to think that far ahead, but OKAY! Let's just do this! *Flips on coin, it lands on tails.* Well . . . shoot. Best out of three?"
“I keep searching for something that gives me a real sense of direction, but nothing ever sticks. I've tried so many of these different things, hoping that one of them will feel right, and it never does. I'm left with a messy schedule and- ugh, It's hopeless. By now, I thought I'd have something figured out—something I could be proud of . . . something he could be proud of. (Pause) What if I never do? What if I’m just . . . lost forever?”
“Sometimes, I look at my mom, and a wave of panic just washes over me. I . . . I’m scared all the time, you know? What if she gets worse, and I can’t do anything to help? What if I lose her? What if I don’t have the strength to face it? I keep trying to stay positive, but it’s so hard. I just . . . want her to be okay.”
About: Ian is a laid-back and mysterious actor who keeps his emotions tightly guarded due to his dark past. He is a closed off individual, and because he has no interest in relationships, he often has casual flings. His demeanor is cold and harsh—where even someone’s presence can seem to annoy him—, but he still plays the role of Kassie’s best friend and voice of reason to balance out her wild antics.
Ian is hard to approach due to his picky nature in friendships, but because of this, he is surprisingly chill once he lets someone in, which usually shows off his snarky, teasing side. He also oddly enjoys the company of bubbly optimists, even though he is a pessimist at heart.
(Pssst by the way he has a weird thing for pirates. Do what you will with that info lol.)

“Look, I know the whole ‘fling’ thing seems messed up, but it’s . . . I don’t know. It’s easier than the pretending and vulnerability romance has. It’s the only way I can feel in control. Makes it easier to deal with all the shit I’ve been through. If I can turn what happened back then into something meaningless, then maybe it won’t hurt as much when I think about it.”
