Thank you to everyone who auditioned! I have finally chosen the final cast and I'm so glad to finally be able to work on this series again! Hopefully I will have episode 1 posted sometime in July! I can't wait to work with everyone! : )

Project Overview
If you're auditioning, I'd prefer if you were part of the fanime community by being an animator or simply a viewer. If you are not, please understand that I am the only artist in this project. Blades of Hope is a fanime/webseries that I am currently creating. This series had been a project idea of mine for a while, and I finally have time to dedicate myself to this series. While working on this, I will also alternate with another series called Jubilation! for a while. However, my main attention will be towards this project.
I've had a previous casting call for the series, but I was unable to contact most voice actors, so I am completely recasting all the characters. I've also changed the project a bit since 2017.
Here is the new summary:
Yuine Otonashi and Mei Uewesawa grew up together in a secluded demon village in a pocket dimension away from normal human society. When they become first years, they decide to attend a normal high school in Japan. However, they are unable to live a normal school life when reports of rampaging demons start appearing. Japan contacts their hidden village and other magical girls to take down the demons wreaking havoc in the country. Demons haven't attacked Japan in over twenty years, so who is behind these strange attacks, and for what reason? And will the Blades of Hope team be able to stop them?
I am currently working on Episode 1 and I have scripts for two out of twelve planned episodes done. These episodes are not really animated per se, so episodes will most likely come out faster than a fully-animated series. I may or may not add more episodes to the current series, so you audition, please be aware that this project may take 1-3 years. If you are chosen for the part, I would like to have a discord or email to contact you with since I am not good at using this site. It's also okay to audition for more than one role, so you may be casted for two characters max.
The only rules I have are to have a good mic so I can hear your voice clearly and to be able to perform lines for the first episode which will be out April 19. Thank you for reading and I hope that you have fun auditioning!

Apology (Work not Abandoned; Cast will be chosen within a few days)
I wanted to apologize for not choosing the cast over Memorial Day Weekend. I went on a trip and was unable to find any time to choose the cast. However, since the school year ends for me in a few days, I will choose the cast then. I will not promise the exact date since apparently I am bad at keeping promises, but I will attempt to choose within a few days. Hopefully this will be the last update. Final Cast This Weekend!!
I'm sorry for taking so long to choose a final cast! My life always get crazy in May since I'm still a high school student, but luckily, I recently just finished all my final exams!! Which means I have time to finally sit down and choose a final cast this weekend!! Thank you for still following this project and the final cast should be chosen by May 27-28. I can't wait to resume work on this project!! -
Final Cast will be in Mid-May; Episode in Early June
Once again, I want to thank everyone who auditioned for this project and those who are following it. I have pushed back the date for finalizing the cast in mid May due to the fact that I have caught a really bad cold recently. It's not going away and I can't really find the time to work on anything at the moment. Because of that, the date of the first episode has been pushed back too. Final Cast and Episode 1
Hey there! I just wanted to thank everyone for all the auditions that were sent in! I can't believe it reached 77 to be honest! I just wanted to say that since I have moved Episode 1's premiere date to the end of the month, I will take a few more days (about two or three) to decide the final cast for the series. Hopefully Episode 1 will be out April 30. Thank you all again for auditioning!

She is the main character of the series. Yuine is a 15 year old girl who is hyperactive and excited to try new things. Since she grew up in a small village, she is easily amused by common things. Yuine was invited to the city of Anutoki to take down any demons who have gone out of control. She doesn't consider herself to be a magical girl, but she likes the name.
(Serious) Everyone is connected to each other. It doesn’t matter if you hate someone or love them, we are all connected by the souls every being has.
(Amused) Wow! I’ve never seen a building this big before! What’s this Mei?
(Monologue) And so, my adventure in the city of Anutoki begins today! My future is shining bright!

Mei is the best friend of Yuine and also her childhood friend. Mei is very calm and she can easily make Yuine be quiet at any given moment. Mei is somewhat shy and keeps to herself. She is mostly concerned with keeping Yuine out of trouble. Mei is a honor student and is a good tutor. She is kind and able to adapt to most situations.
I have Algebra 2 in room 2121, and she has the same class in room 2122.
I'm glad you had a great first day. I hope the rest of your school year is great too.

Kazari is a second year student who is part of the student council. She has a twin sister and both are nice to each other. Kazari was once part of a school idol duo, but they split due to unknown reasons. Kazari loves to help people in need and those who are having a hard time. She doesn't play pranks that often, and tries to show how great of a model student she is. She is aiming to become the student council president for the next school year.
(Welcoming) Hello, and welcome to Anutoki High School. My name is Kazari Takahashi. Do you know which classroom you're going to?
Mei, this is your classroom. Yuine, yours is one room ahead.
(Laughing) I'm nothing like Sappari. I focus on my grades more.

Sayumi is the twin sister of Kazari. She's not so good at expressing her emotions, and has a hard time connecting with others. She used to help Kazari with her concerts when she was a school idol. Sayumi laughs at others' mistakes but tries her best to not be a jerk. Sayumi gets along well with Yuine since Yuine doesn't care about Sayumi's blunt phrases and awkward emotions.

Sappari is a part of the student council and she is a school idol. She is a model student and she's also a second year. She loves singing and getting good grades. Her best friend is Juni and she is teaching her how to become a school idol. Sappari likes to dance but she concentrates more on singing. Sappari is always trying her best to help out those who contact her. She wants to continue being an idol duo with her partner but they've disbanded recently.
(Laughing) Thanks for looking out for me Juni. But she can’t do anything to hurt me anymore.

Juni is a big fan of Sappari and she wants to become an idol like her someday. She wants to help Sappari any way she can. Juni doesn't have a high self-esteem level. Until she heards Sappari's songs, she thought that there was nothing that she could do right. After becoming an idol apprentice to Sappari, things started looking better for her. However, she wants to try and rekindle an old friendship of Sappari's and things are not going well.
(Worried) Sappari, it’s Kazari. I think she’s converting other students to hating you again.
(Excited) Hi there! My name is Juni Mirakuru, and I'm a school-idol-in-training!
(Determined) One day, I'll become an idol that makes everyone smile. I promise!

Tobira is a third year student who enjoys training. Tobira simply likes to train to become stronger, but not for any particular reason. She spars with Sayumi a lot to train. Tobira is a protective big sister who loves her younger sister Ayaka. Tobira is simple-minded and usually doesn't think things through. She acts first then thinks, but sometimes it's the opposite. She is going to attend a good college in the area next year, so she is trying her best to get good grades in school.
(Joking) Do you want me to punch that look off your face?
(Confused) Yuine Otonashi? I never heard of that name. Are you new?
