Welcome to my profile! I'm Mara Santos and I am a 27-year-old female from Australia. My preferred screen name is Marumi Yoshida.

Over the course of my youth, I've always been creative and artistic, choosing to read novels, watch and draw anime, as well as commit time to BrightStar, which was a performing arts academy for kids. I would always enrol in the singing, dancing and acting classes. By high school, I became a part of the choir and even participated in the school musical all the way until I graduated. With my love for anime, I had an ear for the Japanese language, being praised by my Japanese teacher for my excellent pronunciation and accent. I'm always up for singing covers, from Japanese to English to even Filipino, my family's nationality.

Despite being born in Australia, I grew up with a unique accent where I've somehow integrated Australian English, American English and a Filipino accent. My accent is heavier on the American side, by which people tend to assume I'm Canadian or American in some way. Though it may be a challenge to alter my accent for voice acting sake, I am still able to express the emotions needed and embrace the character to showcase who the character is to the role's full potential.

FYI: I'm a teacher by day and work 5 days a week. Please take this into account along with my AEST/AEDT timezone when considering me for a job. I can easily record lines in my own time, but if our timezones differ majorly, attending live table reads may be tricky and scheduling for other calls will vary.
