Project Overview
Hello! This a passion project Visual Novel :)
The Fool is a tragic and dark story about an odd village in a forest with rituals that leaves one's mind in a mess of smoke and afterthoughts. It doesn't have as much of a message then it does of making you question. It starts off with people who find themselves playing a dangerous gambling game that risks more than just a bit of cash.
The roles needed are mostly:
- Assistant Writers
- Artists (Looking for a more simple style)
- Background Artists
- Voice Actors

(Unnerving laughter)

My name? Hell, I didn't choose it but I sure as hell won't change it. (Annoyed)

That's...more players than I would have expected. No matter, I think, it's not my problem. (Unsure)
You can't blame me for your own greediness! No one asked you to come to this village- damn it.

It's fun but it's stupid. (Gently)
I don't want to be here, but it's good money I can't lie. (Warm)

(Distraught) I might be a fool but I can smile.

(Sigh and mutter about the lack of sacrifices)
(Coaxing) Like to play again? Won't you play? Another round wouldn't hurt such one like yourself, would it now?
(Firm) I wouldn't bet on it and promise me you won't either.
(Happy) Just like how my mother taught the kids. I like your methods.
(Cold) Wait. Don't think for once, ever, that we're even.
- Supporting individual characters: Mother, The Minister, Maurice and Martine
(Aggressive) Oh, you think you're some big shot chump? Wait till you see Lil Larry.
(Pleading) Fuck. Could you lend me some coin? I swear I'll win back my pot and pay you back.
(Anxious) The Dealer told us about it. What do you make of it?
- Help writing a few of the main characters so there is a distinctly different voice :)
- Likely 1-2 characters needed, up to you to choose
- Have a good control of grammar, tenses and a dab of humor

- Try to have aesthetic color palettes and clear lineart
