Logline:
When Millie's attempts to connect with others fail, she turns to her bed that never fails to keep her company.
This short film is set to be filmed in August 2026 as well as the post production process and will be submitted to film festivals. The mood of this film is a mix of "I saw the tv glow" and "Obsession" but with a comforting jazzy feel.
It is hard to explain my vision for this project but what I am looking for is a composer for the short film that can create a jazzy score to emulate the nostalgic perspective of our main character, however, I would like it to feel off. To aid the story's portrayal of Millie and her outlook on the people around her.
For more context, her character is a teenage girl with depression and social anxiety. She seeks to connect with her friends and family but she always feels a level of exclusion and hostility from them which arises great horrific fear from her. But when she turns to her bed that takes on the silhouette of a human being, she is comforted and blinded by the safe feeling of the sheets wrapping around her. Not knowing, that they are slowly consuming her. Suffocating her.
More information will be given to the chosen candidate along with the script and more communication about the project and what is expected. Creative freedom is also welcome.

NOTE: This project will remain open until August as I have more projects planned. So even if I have chosen someone for this particular project I am also still looking through auditions for more people to get on board for the future.
