Igor S. Fonseca

I’m a composer and multi-instrumentalist from Brazil, I hold a Bachelor's degree in Music - Composition from UFJF (Federal University of Juiz de Fora). Most of my work revolves around instrumental, soundtrack, and electroacoustic music, mixing and matching styles from piece to piece.

I’ve composed for an academic orchestra on multiple occasions and have worked on many soundtracks, including a soundtrack for a documentary series in collaboration with King’s College London.

I strive to be as much a storyteller as a musician, and I believe that is a key characteristic of my compositions—so much so that they are mostly programmatic in nature. I am also fascinated by blending conventional instruments with a variety of sounds, whether produced, recorded in different ways, or drawn from nature.
