Project Overview

Hey everybody! Elson Wong here, director and producer of the BEASTARS Anime English Fan-Dub series.

Episode 1 took a month to produce and one week after it's release it's garnered critical acclaim from the BEASTARS community.

The episode has received 74,000 views, over 3,000 likes and over 400 unique comments for fan feedback.

In Episode 2 I'm looking for MALE VA's to cast as one or more out of THREE CHARACTERS AVAILABLE (they are very minor roles - DOM being the exception -with potential for re-occurring appearances in future episodes).

This is a very rare opportunity to join our Story & Sound studios as we take our work seriously, yet have great fun at the same time!

Deadline for this project is towards the end of JAN 2020 and I'm confident to have the episode uploaded and ready for the BEASTARS community to watch and enjoy!

The deadline for AUDITIONS is flexible. It may state that it's until the 8th December 2019 but it'll be FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE basis - meaning that if I find someone that fits the bill for one or more characters for this episode, that's it, the character will not be available anymore.

So my best tip is to have a positive attitude, have excellent clarity in your recordings and be able to emote really well.

He is a student at Cherryton High School and a member of the Drama Club.

A large peafowl who is friendly and complimenting to his companions in the Drama Club, this is expressed from his positive and colourful personality.

Dom is also one of the only male homosexuals openly portrayed in the manga & anime series.

The key is to keep his flamboyancy to a humble tone, rather than over-the-top level!

You'll maximise your chances of getting his role if you study how he talks with his friends in Episode 2 (past the 13 minute mark) & Episode 5 (past the 10 minute mark) of the subbed BEASTARS anime (a quick Google search will lead you to it).

  • Chief called for a break in the middle of practice? That's unexpected...!

    Oh Kai, by the way, I think you're quite artistic! *Kai who was complaining earlier that he should have been an actor on stage, now he happily responds to your compliment: "Really?"*

    Yeah! *both chuckle at the kind gesture*

  • Legosi...? Legosi.......? LEGOSI! *Legosi wakes up from a moment of contemplation*

    Geez, we were talking about getting flowers from the Gardening Club.

  • Good work today...! *waves to LEGOSI who left the STAGE CREW group abruptly on their walk back to the dorms*

    *he turns around to quietly scolds his friend*

    I'm pretty sure your teasing made him feel awkward! Be nice!

Friendly and sociable, this hyena is considerate to those around him.
