Babar the Elephant/The Toybox Narration

Babar the Elephant/The Toybox Narration

Project Overview

Hi everyone!

I am a professional pianist looking for a narrator for an album that I'm working on. The album consists of 2 pieces: Francis Poulenc's "L'histoire de Babar, le petit elephant" and Claude Debussy's "Boite a joujoux". Both of these works contain narration and I am looking for a competent narrator for each work (or both, if you're really good).

Here are recordings of the works:

Toy Box - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yi8bPUT5rSU

-A good mic is absolutely required, absolutely no background noise.

-You WILL be compensated for your work if selected.

-If chosen, you must be willing to share your real name, as the album will eventually be released on Spotify, and so I can give proper credit.

I look forward to your auditions! :D

  • In the Great Forest, a little elephant was born. His name was Babar. His mother loved him dearly, and used to rock him to sleep with her trunk, singing to him softly all the while.

  • Suddenly, a cruel hunter hiding behind a bush shot at them!

  • "Cornelius," said Babar, "you have such good ideas that I shall make you a general, and when I get my crown, I will give you my hat."

  • Pierrot, Harlequin, Punch and the other two dolls start dancing in a circle

  • The captain uses his saber to point out Punch to the soldiers. Punch runs away across the stage!
