Role assigned to: Man on the Internet

Voice: Rough and low, an army man cliche.

  • [Arrogant/Mocking] What's to know? It's big, it's shiny, it's gonna make us all rich.

  • [Kind] Looks like all our chances for survival rest with you, Mr. Thatch. You and that little book.

  • [Yelling/Mad/Mocking] I consider myself an even tempered man. It takes a lot to get under my skin, but congratulations, you just won the solid-gold kewpie doll.

Voice: Low, sultry, and seductive.

  • [Serious] It sounds metallic. Could be an echo off one of the rocks.

Voice: Low, with his unique accent.

  • [Listing Supplies/Apathetic] Oh, eh...Gunpowder, nitroglycerin, notepads, fuses, wicks, glue, and paperclips. Big ones. You know, just, uh, office supplies.

  • Well, as far as me goes...I just like to blow things up.

  • My family owned a flower shop. We would sell roses, carnations, baby's breath, you name it. One day, I'm making about three dozen corsages for this prom, you know, the one they put on the wrist, and everybody, they come. "Where is it?", "When is it?", "Does it match my dress?" It's a nightmare. Anyway, I guess there was this leak next door of gas or what, BOOM! No more Chinese laundry. Blew me right through the front window.[Lights match]It was like a sign from God. I found myself in that boom.

Voice: Higher female voice, tom-boy attitude with a Latin accent.

  • Jeez, I used to take lunch money from guys like this.

  • I took this job when my dad retired...but the funny thing was he always wanted sons, right? One to run his machine shop, and the other to be middle-weight boxing champion! But, he got my sister and me instead.[Milo asks about her sister] She's 24 and 0 with a shot at the title next month...anyway, I'm saving up so my papí and I can open another shop.

Mole participates in the expedition that locates theShepherd's Journalin Iceland. He is later talked into agreeing to locate a giant crystal pictured in the book and sell it on the black market for a hefty price. Milo James Thatch is warned on numerous occasions by Dr. Joshua Sweet regarding Mole's unusual behavior. Voice: Middle range, unique type of voice. French accent.

  • [Low/Slow] You...havedisturbed...the dirt. [Outburst] You have disturbed the dirt! Dirt from around the globe, spanning the centuries! Ack! What have you done?! England must never merge with France!

  • Ah! There you are! Now tell me your story my little friend...[muttering, fast paced] Parchment fiber from the Nile Delta circa 500 BC, lead pencil no. 2, paint flecks of a type used in government buildings, you have a cat, short hair Persian, two years old, third in a litter of seven. These are all the microscopic fingerprints of the mapmaker.[licks it twice] And... [menacingly] linguist.

He is later talked into agreeing to locate a giant crystal pictured in the book and sell it on the black market for a hefty price. Cookie's culinary dishes made throughout the expedition are generally met with disdain and disgust, with an exception from Gaetan Moliére. He is hardly called upon for any sort of importance, although it is implied his sharpshooting abilities were still appreciated enough to warrant his manning gun turrets aboard the submarine Ulysses.

Voice: Older male, low range, Texan accent.

  • You done stuffed my wagon full t'bustin' with non-essentials! Look at all this! Cinnamon! Oregano! Cilantro?! What in cockadoodle is cilantro?![picks up a batch of lettuce]What is this?

His swift movement and speed allows him to nearly complete his task when Milo is called to the bridge for a briefing.

Voice: Deep, kind voice.

  • Trust me on this, you don't wanna know. Audrey, don't tell him. You shouldn't a told me, but you did, and now I'm tellin' you, you don't wanna know.

  • [To Milo] Uh oh. Sat in the dirt, didn't you? [To Mole] Moliere, now what have I told you about playing nice with other kids? [Mole tries to protest, but Sweet pulls out a bar of soap and shoves it in Mole's face] Get back! Voice: Senior women, raspy like a lifetime smoker, low. Extremely apathetic in all of her lines.

Preston Whitmore is an eccentric millionaire, industrialist, and philanthropist. Both would graduate in 1866 with Thatch becoming an archeologist and Whitmore beginning his rise to financial success with Whitmore Industries.

Voice: Eccentric older male, raspy at medium range.

  • Your grandfather was always bending my ear with stories about that book. I didn't buy it for a minute! So finally I got fed up and made a bet with the old coot. I said, "Thatch, if you ever actually find that so-called journal, not only will I finance the expedition, but I'll kiss you full on the mouth! Imagine my embarrassment when he found the darn thing.

  • Your grandad had a saying: "Our lives are measured by the gifts we leave our children." This journal is his gift to you. Atlantis is waiting.

  • Your grandfather was a great man, Milo. You probably don't realize how great. Those buffoons at the museum...dragged him down, made a laughing stock of him. He died a broken man. If I could bring back just one shred of proof...that'd be enough for me.

Kashekim Nedakh is the king and ruler of Atlantis at the height of its power. In his arrogance, he uses the Heart of Atlantis as a weapon and begins a campaign that sees him conquer and colonize other lands and cultures. This would bring about his downfall as his pride is carried over into his army, which results in the accidental weapons discharge that creates the Great Flood that sinks the city.

Voice: THe king has a sense of tiredness in his voice with each line. His voice is low with gravel and rasp.

  • [Angry] Our way of life is preserved! [more gently] Kida, when you take the throne, you will understand.

  • [With Athority] MOAKH TAH-mar GWEE-sin puhn-NEB-leh-nen KEE-duh-toap. WEEL-tem neb GAH-moh-seh-toat deg DOO-weh-ren TEE-rid. (You know the law, Kida. No outsiders may see the city and live.)

KIDA IS A ROLE THAT MAY BE TAKEN BY AN EXISTING MEMBER.

Kidagakash Nedakh is the daughter of Kashekim Nedakh, the king and ruler of Atlantis at the height of its power. At a very young age, she is witness to the near destruction of the central city of the continent when her mother,The Queen of Atlantis is called forth by the Heart of Atlantis to save the city. Due to her father wishing to prevent a repeat of what happened and thereby erasing much of the Atlantean history, she begins to lose the ability to remember much of the past culture and can only remember her mother being taken away by what she describes as a great star in the sky. She believes that her people are beginning to lose their sense of self inAtlantis: The Lost Empire, and begins to investigate the past to rediscover their lost culture.

Voice: Kida has a soft and low voice that can get authoritative when needed.

You MUST be able to pronounce the Atlantean language with ease, which may take some practice. Also, you need to capture her Atlantean accent when speaking English.

  • [Sad] We are not thriving. True, our people live, but our culture is dying. We are like a stone the ocean beats against. With each passing year a little more of us is worn away.

  • [Excitement/Rushed] You are a scholar, are you not? Judging from your diminished physique and large forehead, you can be suited for nothing else!

  • [Respectful] Deh-GEEM, TAH-neb-toap. Way-DAH-go-sen NEH-bet behr-NOH-tib-mick. (Greetings, Your Highness. I have brought the visitors.)

    [Defensive/Respectful] TAHB-toap, LOO-den NEH-bet kwahm GEH-soo BOH-geh-kem deg YAH-seh-ken GEH-soo-goan-tokh." ("Father, these people may be able to help us.")

  • [Frustrated/Light Anger] You think it's some kind of diamond. I thought it was some kind of a battery. But we're both wrong. It's their life force. That crystal is the only thing keeping these people alive. You take that away, and they'll die.
