Project Overview
ARMORED STONE RUMIRUNA
Armored Stone Rumiruna is the working title for a short-form vertical animated web series to be aired on YouTube. It takes place in the future year of 2045 where the United States(now known as the Federated Commonwealth) recruits teenagers to fight in various wars with mecha known as Rumirunas. Many of them are drawn by promises of financial assistance and valuable experience.
The series centers around a Peruvian-Ecuadorian boy named Sayani Aymara, who hopes to take advantage of the free college offered by the Fedcom after his father encounters an unexpected medical emergency.
The series will consist of episodes about 1-2 minutes in length.
Voice Actor
Sayani Aymara is the son of an adopted indigenous Peruvian mother and an Ecuadorian immigrant father who was born and raised in the United States. He likes to code and tinker around with technology. He's usually pretty easygoing(and even stoic) if he believes what he's doing serves a good cause, but he is also prone to losing his temper at times when he's stressed or overwhelmed. While he generally tries to follow the rules, he has a tendency to be rebellious and edgy from time to time. When faced with a tough choice, he's often indecisive and feels guilty afterwards. However, when anyone crosses a red line, such as when Clancy teases indigenous people, he is more than capable of taking a decisive stand against it. We are looking for a Native American voice actor for this role.

Voice Actor
Ash is Sayani's best friend. He has a very kind and caring personality to be reserved and cautious. While he can seem judgmental and cold, he does care a lot about his friends. He knows a lot about first aid and wants to work in the medical field. He has more interests that are considered feminine than most other male characters in the series.
[Gently trying to offer constructive criticism]Don't you think it might be easier if you had some kind of system to help you stay organized?
[Frank, decisive] Screwworm. We're going to have to do surgery.
Voice Actor
Jessica is Sayani's birth mother. She's resourceful and hardworking and cares a lot about her two sons, Sayani and Shinchi. She was adopted from Peru at a very early age by an American family. Jessica spent much of her teenage years trying to reconnect with her people and culture, ultimately leading to her entering a Peruvian student exchange program. Hence, she named her two sons Andean names.
Despite growing up in a loving family, she had to struggle to get to where she is today while Sayani was little. These experiences shaped her firm style of parenting. Even if she seems to ask a lot of her sons at times, she does have limits, like when she sobs begging Sayani not to join the YNDS.
She has a strong sense of justice and stays informed on the politics of the series throughout. Even though she's generally polite and considerate, she can be smug when someone does something stupid or unfair. Her criticisms at her kids though are usually direct and blunt.
As serious as Jessica seems, she can be cute, quirky and creative too.
This is a role for Hispanic/Latinx women. Ideally, Jessica should be voiced by someone whose heritage is in close proximity to Andean cultures.
