AnimatedWings: The Dragonet Prophecy Prologue

Project Overview

Introducing AnimatedWings, a Wings of Fire animated series. This production is created by fans for fans, and we need your help.

Content Warning: AnimatedWings is not suitable for those under the age of thirteen, due to the mature themes featured in the series. This includes graphic depictions of violence. The recommended age range for this media is sixteen and above.

For a while, fans of Wings of Fire have wanted an animated series of the popular book series. AnimatedWings has a goal to make that idea come to life, and we are already making strides in the right direction. We launched in October of 2019, and although an official series has been announced recently, we're still going strong!

You can help by applying to be a voice actor here! We have a few roles we are interested in casting at the moment, if you are interested in a role past the prologue of the first book you will have to wait for our future casting calls. (This is an extension of the prologue casting call.)

  • Voice Actors Chosen + Callbacks

    Sincere apologies from TeamWings for the long wait! We've finally chosen the six actors for the pilot and will additionally bring in others that we liked! If you are not chosen as a role do not fret as you may be brought in at a later date. We are still deciding on those to bring in, so apologies if there is a bit of another wait for that. We are still going strong! Thank you so much for the support, there was an overwhelming amount of auditions and it was so hard to pick, if all goes well with the pilot... Expect more casting calls for the dragonets and others!

Hvitur is a young adult male IceWing, he is a member of the Talons of Peace. Hvitur is very kind-hearted and hopeful, he is also determined and persistent with his beliefs. He has a softer demeanor and wishes for the peace between the tribes to a great extent, and detests war and violence. Hvitur appears to care greatly for the success of the prophecy and the dragonet's well being.
Please be able to communicate varied emotion, as well as scream, if you are interested in this role. His time on screen is short and limited to the prologue, so you do not need to be particularly committed to the project.

  • "The dragonets are coming, whether you like it or not, and they will choose who the next SandWing queen should be." (angry, stating boldly)

  • "You wouldn't... No one would harm a dragon egg..." (in disbelief, nervous)

  • "You're a monster! We'll never give up. The dragonets-" (wailing, his voice cracking under despair)

Burn the SandWing

Burn is a middle aged female SandWing, she is the oldest of the heirs to the SandWing throne. Burn is a violent and ruthless dragon, she lacks remorse and is very cocky and egotistic. She is very sadistic, finding pleasure in harming and killing other dragons. Her ultimate goal is to become the SandWing queen, and goes to great lengths to try and achieve this goal, even if that means putting innocent dragons in danger.
Please be able to communicate varied emotion if you are interested in this role. Her time on screen is long term and extends to the fifth book in the series, so it is recommended you are committed to the project in the event we go past the first book.

  • "Too late. You won't be using your freezing death-breath on us, ice dragon." (mocking, amused)

  • "You're not in Blaze's army are you? You're one of those insipid underground peacemongers." (in disgust, suspicious)

  • "I guess that means you should be very, VERY careful with this terribly important little... [pause] Oops!" (sarcastic, faking pity, exaggerated)

Gila is a young adult female SandWing, she is the first SandWing soldier accompanying Burn. Gila is the more mature of the two.

Hare is a teen male SandWing, he is the second SandWing soldier accompanying Burn. Hare is the more immature of the two.

Kestrel the SkyWing

Kestrel is a middle aged female SkyWing, she is a member of the Talons of Peace. Kestrel is a very cold and grumpy dragon, she had a bad temper and isn't afraid to snap when she feels is fit. She comes across as very cruel and demanding towards the dragonets. Under all of the anger she appears to have bit of a heart and the ability to care however, and is heavily misunderstood.
Please be able to communicate varied emotion if you are interested in this role. Her time on screen is long term and extends to the end of the first book in the series, so it is recommended you are committed to the project as we have a goal to complete the first book.

  • "I knew I should have stolen the SkyWing egg myself. I know the SkyWing kingdom, they wouldn't have caught me a second time." (sighing, frustrated)

  • "So it's just you, me and Dune to raise the little worms for a prophecy that can never be fulfilled..." (angry, conflicted)

  • "There's not way back into the Sky Kingdom, brainless. They will be guarding the hatchery closely now." (annoyed, reasoning with)

Webs the SeaWing

Webs is a middle aged male SeaWing, he is a member of the Talons of Peace. Webs is more on the cowardly and reserved side, despite this he was very kind and hopeful. He is a bit dull, and can come off as boring from time to time. He appears to have overall good intentions with his actions, even if in sticky situations he tries to preserve himself above anything else.
Please be able to communicate varied emotion if you are interested in this role. His time on screen is long term and extends past the first arc, so it is recommended you are committed to the project in the event we go past the first book.

  • "I-It can't be! Tomorrow is the brightest night, the three moons will all be full for the first time in a century! The dragonets have to hatch tomorrow!" (in denial, distressed)

  • "Keeping the dragonets alive for the next eight years is more important than anything! If you don't want be part of that-" (firm, frantic)
