Animan - a seemingly original animation, that is in fact a thinly disguised parody of Boku no Hero Academia, and not shy about it.
Animan will follow the story of Ken Geekerson, a nerdy and powerless kid born into a world where everyone has cool anime powers - except him, of course. After being visited by a manly-ass spirit of one of his anscentors, Ken is given anime powers of his own - the ability to transform into the hero, Animan!
Mocking as many aspects of Shonen anime as I can possibly get away with, and injecting plenty of my own humour in there, this is designed to be a lighthearted project that doesn't take itself seriously. And I'm gonna need some voice actors to help me with the first episode. And I'll give you guys $5 each, and a cut of ad revenue (if that ever becomes a thing).

Also, I'm just going to say that when it comes to the script, nothing is sacred. A lot of the jokes and material might contain things some people aren't comfortable with, so if there are some things you wouldn't be happy to joke about, maybe this isn't the project for you. You can always message me for more details about the script if you're not sure.

The narrator is simply that - the narrator. He will physically appear in the animation as well, and speaks at the start and end. Much like Awesome Man, this role requires a lot of enthusiam and exuberance. The narrator thinks he's hot shit, and won't hesistate to call Ken a loser. Again looking for an older sounding voice, and for you to be over the top in your enthusiasm.
In the city of Powertown, all the citizens are gifted with cool anime powers. Some will use them for the greater good of the people; others will use them for wicked crimes.
I personally use them to dry my laundry faster. In the cold months of Winter, there's no way they'll dry outside! And I'll be damned if I'm going to pay those extortionate laundromat fees! But let's stay on topic.
This is the story... of a total fucking nerd, called Ken Geekerson.
The rough and mean character simply known for now as the "Bully" - his cool anime power is to turn his skin into steel. His favourite hobby is beating up nerds, with Ken as his primary target. I'm looking for a really rough and scratchy voice here - the kind of guy that loves to get angry and beat people up. In the later scenes of the animation, you'll need to be capable of giving a scared performance as well, so keep that in mind.

Awesome Man - The spirit of one of Ken's ancestors. Needless to say, he's totally cool, and a real hero. Or at least he seems that way. He's actually incredibly irresponsible, he bullies Ken, and wants to bang his mom. I'm looking for a voice that's older sounding, and filled with heroic enthusiam. Imagine Superman - but after rehab. Over the top please.
(After violently breaking through Ken's wall) - Hello there, Ken! It is I, the spirit of one of your ancestors! Call me - Awesome Man!
(After telling Ken he has to say the words "Kawaii Desu" in order to become Animan - a little embarrassed) - Uh, yeah... It's extremely embarrassing, and you're going to look like a total idiot.
(Whilst beating the shit out of Ken in order to give him his powers) - Haha! This is great! There's something so satisfying about beating up a helpless child!
