An Eggman Carol Extended Adaptation URGENT Sonic Recasting
Project Overview
This is an urgent listing for a Sonic understudy for my extended adaptation of An Eggman Carol. My current Sonic VA may not be able to record in time for the video to start production. I am in talks with someone about the role, but it is uncertain if they will be able to participate. I created this listing as a plan B if my first option is unavailable. If my first option is able to participate, the one who lands the audition here will be brought on as their understudy and will be given a special credit in the video and can join the Discord server I have set up for the project.
For this role, you must be able to get your lines in ASAP. I'll have a deadline set up for December 8th or the 10th if you need an absolutely necessary extension. I want to get this video out by Christmas or at the very least, a few days after Christmas. I do also require a few things. These include:
-Please audition using the AAABBBCCC format.
-USB microphones or higher is acceptable, no phone mics.
-Have little to no background noise.
-Have at least some voice acting experience in total or as the character.
-Be committed and be prepared for a short deadline, this is an urgent listing, after all.

I'm sure we all know who Sonic the Hedgehog is; a cocky, but well-intended teen who tries to save the world from Eggman. In this story, if you haven't watched the original video, Sonic takes on a role similar to Jacob Marley from A Christmas Carol. While acting all spooky, he does slip in his usual cocky attitude. I'm fine with anything you offer, though I personally prefer a take that's closer in line to Jason Griffith or Ryan Drummond. If you can do a mixture of both, that's great! But, don't be shy to try something new.
The first line has Sonic pretending to be a ghost. Reverb will be added during the editing process to make Sonic sound more like his ghostly facade.
The second line happens after a scene where Eggman comedically verbally attacks Sonic, in which Sonic breaks his ghost character to back-talk the doctor in his typical cocky self.
The third line happens towards the end when the act is done, and Sonic comments on Orbot's plan.
A reminder that ONLY THE FIRST LINE is the one where you're supposed to sound like a ghost, the rest are in Sonic's cocky self.
(Spookily) "We’ll see soon enough… Beware your fate, Eggman… For yours will be worse than mine…"
(Breaking character) "Okay, first of all: Ouch. Second of all: I may be dead, but I’m still looking better than you’ll ever be, Eggnog."
"Highly doubt it, but if it can give us an excuse to scare Eggman more, I’m down for it."
