Amalgamate (Danganronpa V3 Fanfic Reading)
Project Overview
Welcome to the amalgamate fanfic reading casting call! We are really excited to have you try out for this project!
Before you proceed, please note that there will be spoilers for the whole of Danganronpa V3!! Swearing will also be involved, so if you're not comfortable with that this might not be your cup of tea.

Depending on how many auditions we get, we are hoping to choose both main Voice actors to play the roles and understudies for them, though the latter can't be guaranteed if we don't have enough auditions.
Your audition will be judged based on voice accuracy and the portrayal of emotions, but since this is a very emotional story, emotional portrayal is slightly more important than voice accuracy.
Rules
1: Please send your auditions by December 15, 11:59 pm PST. You won't be disqualified if you're a few minutes or hours late, as I understand that things sometimes happen
2: You are allowed to audition for as many characters as you like, but just beware of spoilers both in the story and the audition lines. You can also get more than one role, so if you decide to try out for both major ones, be prepared for a lot of recording if you get in
3: Please say each audition line at least one time, though you may say them more if you wish
4: Please record with a quiet background. You don't need a professional microphone for this, just a phone would do, but please avoid touching the microphone while you're talking into it

Kaito Momota is the Ultimate Astronaut and he usually believes in anyone he comes across, encouraging them. The story is written from his view, as he changes Kokichi's plan in chapter 5 of the game and has to work together with the Ultimate Supreme Leader, so nobody has to die.
In "Amalgamate" Kaito suffers a lot from pain, coughing and having to lie to his friends, as well as having to confront his own feelings toward Kokichi.
Line1: (Enthusiastic) I'm Kaito Momota, Luminary of the Stars! Even crying children adore the Ultimate Astronaut! How about it!? I'm an astronaut! Isn't that cool!?
Line 2: (Determined while in pain) I can't die like this... Like hell am I gonna...die here... I...I still...haven't gone...t-to space... Damn it...
Line 3: (Angry) Hey! If you keep saying messed up crap like that, I'm gonna kick your ass into orbit!
Line 4: (Sad/Apologetic) Haha...of course... My bad for making you cry like that.
Line 5: (Casual) Yeah, don’t rely on that. After all, this Exisal has a voice changer! Ah! ‘Cause of that, nobody realizes I’m pretending to be Kokichi! But no more! Sorry for the wait, guys!
Kokichi Ouma is the Ultimate Supreme Leader. He likes to play pranks and pretends to be a villain most of the time.
In the story he is slowly dying from poison and is in agony and distress for most of the first chapters.
Line 1: (Casual) I'm Kokichi Oma, the Ultimate Supreme Leader!
Line 2: (Playful/Mysterious) Nee-heehee... I do lie a lot, and I could be lying right now too... But, I'm pretty sure *someone's* panicking right now because of my lie.
Line 3: (Sad/Regret) Everyone...hates me...so the role of villain is perfect for me... Yeah, I know already! It should've been my responsibility!
Line 4: (Upset while in pain) H-How could a game...that you're forced to play...be fun...? I had to think this game was fun to survive... I had to lie to myself!
Line 5: (Snarky) Oh... my god, Miu actually said something smart.
Monokuma is a stuffed robotic bear and the self-proclaimed headmaster of the Ultimate Academy for Gifted Juveniles, who started the Killing School Semester. He is the antagonist in the series, cheerful and easygoing at first glance, but with a very sinister undertone.
He laughs at peoples despair and wants to be entertained by the student's killing. He also leads the Class Trials as Judge, Jury and Executioner.
Line 1: (Excited) I am the god of this new world... ...and the headmaster of the Ultimate Academy! The one, the only...Monokuma! Nice to meetcha!
Line 2: (Quietly laughing) Puhuhuhu... Human beings have always been selfish, self-centered creatures.
Line 3: (Evil) You'll remember that despair is the only choice you have. And that hope doesn't exist here at all! Ah-hahahahaha! The killing game will never end!
Line 4: (Nervous) Th-the culprit, you say? Ah, y-yes… Of c-course I know! Whaddaya mean I don’t know?! Uh, what don’t I know, huh?!
Line 5: (Eager) Side? Isn’t it obvious? Monokuma joins your party!
Maki Harukawa is the Ultimate Child Caregiver...I mean Assasin. She appers very serious and doesn't smile much. Even though she comes of as unfriendly, she is good at taking care of others and is emotional inside.
Line 1: (Stoic) Maki Harukawa... Ultimate Child Caregiver.
Line 2: (Defensive) Do you want to die?
Line 3: (Sad/Desperate) I've never felt this way before! I've always fought to kill, but...this is the first time I've fought to protect someone! And...I've never... ...been given a nickname like "Maki Roll" before, either.
Line 4: (Angry/Determined) It doesn't matter how much you get in my way, I will absolutely defeat Kokichi. I won't let despair escape... I won't let it win.
Line 5: (Casual/Encouraging) I'm not trying to sound like Kaito but...I don't think you should carry all the burden alone. You're Shuichi Saihara before you're a detective. Don't ever forget that.
Shuichi Saihara is the Ultimate Detective in Danganronpa V3 and has a serious and polite personality. He is unsure of himself and often assumes other people can do things better than him. Once a murder has accured though and an investigation as well as class trial happen, he becomes the most reliable person in the room, reveiling the truth nomatter what the consequences.
Line 1: (Uncertain) I'm... Shuichi Saihara. They call me the Ultimate Detective, but...
Line 2: (Wise) Some lies can lead the world to hope... Some truths can lead the world to despair... So I don't think anyone can really say which is more right in the end.
Line 3: (Determined) Don't you see? If hope wins, the killing won't stop! It's *because* hope wins that the killing never stops! That's why I'm going to reject that hope.
Line 4: (Sad) Why are you still trying to get me to be brave? Why, Kaede!? Why are you thinking about everyone except yourself!? If you had just been less selfless, you wouldn't have had to murder... Why...? Why do you do that?
Line 5: (Shouting) That's...enough! Enough of your bullshit, Monokuma! I made a promise to Kaito! I will end this killing game! And to give Kaito's death meaning, I swear I *will* keep my promise!
Tsumugi Shirogane is the Ultimate Cosplayer. She makes a lot of anime and game refrences and seems to be very plain. Even saying so herself often.
Since the story will go all the way to chapter 6 of the game and even farther according to the author, the more crazy side of Tsumugi as the mastermind will probably come to light. If you audition for her, please be aware of that fact.
Line 1: (Casual) Oh, my name is Tsumugi Shirogane. I'm the Ultimate Cosplayer. Are you... surprised? I get that a lot, since I'm so plain.
Line 2: (Casual) Yeah, I think it's just plain fun to become fictional characters. To become a completely different person and feel like you're part of a different world... Doesn't that sound interesting?
Line 3: (Disbelieve) There's no way Gonta would kill! He won't even kill bugs!
Line 4: (Anger/Desperation/Crazy) So it doesn't matter how much you fight. You can't change the outside world. Cuz the outside world still wants Danganronpa! That won't change! So do you still want to throw your lives away? Even if it changes nothing?
Line 5: (Nervous) W-We were going to work together... We promised to become friends...
K1-B0, also known as Kiibo is the Ultimate Robot. He is polite and serious and has trouble with social interactions, often coming across as unintentionally comical as a result. He takes pride in his form and can get angry when he thinks people are making disciminatory remarks towards him as a robot.
Line 1: (Formal) I'm not just any old robot! I am K1-B0, the Ultimate Robot! But please, address me as Keebo!
Line 2: (Offended) Hey, that’s robophobic!
Line 3: (Sad) Krgh... I want to cry, but I can't... I should have had Miu install a crying function!
Line 4: (Casual/Encouraging) Right now, there is no use in thinking about whether our lives have meaning or not... Because as long as we're alive, we still have the power to decide that meaning for ourselves... That's what I believe hope is!
Line 5: (Confident) No! My inner voice already told me what to do! I need to remedy this! If that's the voice of the outside world, then the outside world actually wants hope! So I will trust the outside world! I will trust in hope! This is the power of hope!
