Monokuma is a stuffed robotic bear and the self-proclaimed headmaster of the Ultimate Academy for Gifted Juveniles, who started the Killing School Semester. He is the antagonist in the series, cheerful and easygoing at first glance, but with a very sinister undertone.
He laughs at peoples despair and wants to be entertained by the student's killing. He also leads the Class Trials as Judge, Jury and Executioner.
Line 1: (Excited) I am the god of this new world... ...and the headmaster of the Ultimate Academy! The one, the only...Monokuma! Nice to meetcha!
Line 2: (Quietly laughing) Puhuhuhu... Human beings have always been selfish, self-centered creatures.
Line 3: (Evil) You'll remember that despair is the only choice you have. And that hope doesn't exist here at all! Ah-hahahahaha! The killing game will never end!
Line 4: (Nervous) Th-the culprit, you say? Ah, y-yes… Of c-course I know! Whaddaya mean I don’t know?! Uh, what don’t I know, huh?!
Line 5: (Eager) Side? Isn’t it obvious? Monokuma joins your party!
