Lokaine is a Svald man, native to the land of Svalbaari. Him and his siblings Tadeshi and Miryn moved to the city province of Nuine years ago. Leaving behind his girlfriend Lusyf, he strived to make a difference in Nuine-Svalbaari relations. They were given permission to enter and live in the city because of their parents' contributions to the province and council themselves. Lokaine, unlike his brother and sister, decided to start helping the lower districts of the city. He contributed both work and money to help the communities. While none of them really came entirely out of poverty, he did still make an impact and became known throughout the city as somewhat of a philanthropist. After spending years watching the poor struggle daily, he began to resent the council and its treatment of their citizens. He began to see corruption everywhere and it started to change him. After being denied by his brother Tadeshi for help in bringing justice to Nuine, he decided to seek help in the lower districts, where he met Jetka and Kai, two ex-NET soliders who shared his grief and feelings of injustice. As the three grew closer, their anger grew stronger. The three of them started to recruit like-minded individuals, creating their own small militia over time in district 18 and those beyond. They began buying weapons illegally, as well as running black market shops in the basement of Jet's nightclub to make money. Lokaine has started to have powerful visions of a witch, but has told no one about them.

Miryn is a Svald woman, a native to the land of Svalbaari. She and her brothers Tadeshi and Lokaine moved to the city province of Nuine, where they thrived as entrepreneurs. They were given permission to enter and live in the city because of their parents' contributions to the province and council themselves. Miryn and her brother Tadeshi became the name and face of Svald men and women in the city due to their hefty contributions to the upper districts, both personal and financial. After receiving much honoraria over the years, they were offered a seat on the Nuine Council. She declined while her brother Tadeshi accepted. Knowing how corrupt the council was, she tried to convince Tadeshi not to join them, to no avail. Years passed and she became estranged from both brothers over time. Tadeshi was enveloped with his council work, while Lokaine had other pursuits to help the lower districts out of their poverty. Miryn became the unofficial Svalbaari spokeswoman for the province, maintaining a good image for the Svald people. She continues to aid the communities in the upper districts.

Zena, or Z, has lived in lower districts of Nuine her entire life. She has never been allowed to leave the province, like most of the other lower district citizens. She learned cybernetics from her father at an early age, prompting a fascination with technology. She became somewhat infamous after installing her own cybernetics, a feat not done successfully by many. She decided to open her own shop for cybernetic installations and repairs for her district. She offered low prices or fair trade for her work. Unfortunately, shortly after, cybernetics for the lower districts became illegal, and so she was forced to close her shop. After desperately seeking a new way to find money, she became homeless for some time, until meeting Kai. The ex soldier asked her to join him and Jetka's black market as a cybernetic doctor (known as cydocs). She accepted immediately and was given her own space to conduct her work in the basement of their nightclub called Underworld. As the years went by, she built up a clientele and became important to many of the district's citizens for help with their implants, both old and new. Kai and her became good friends, and eventually, lovers. After losing Kai, she became angrier and more violent. Starting fights for no reason, being aggressive with the people around her. Nearly a year has passed and not much has changed.

Jetka has been a Nuine citizen his entire life. He was an orphan and lived in the streets more often than not. He met his best friend Kai at a young age and the two of them helped each other survive homelessness. When they were both of age, they joined Nuine's military unit known as NET, Nuine Enforcement Team. They were granted access to leave the province and given an apartment in the upper districts. Jet spent three years as a soldier until he was dishonorably discharged for not obeying orders he felt were wrong. Kai stayed in his position for one more year. Jetka was not only banished to the lower districts, but his right to leave the province was revoked. When Kai returned from his deployment, Jet was surprised to see his friend willingly join him in his exile. The two of them opened a club called Underworld, a front for the black market they were running in the basement. They sold cybernetics, weapons, and other illegal goods. After meeting Lokaine, they started talking about creating a militia to protect their own district from corrupt soldiers' abuse towards citizens as cases of death and injury were on the rise. As time went on, they gained a clientele for their illegal goods. Jet gained a lot of respect in both the lower and upper districts for his consistency and business. After the loss of Kai, he continues to grieve, but has also continued business as usual knowing that's what he would have wanted.

Dorian is an entertainer by day, trader by night. He is well known in Nuine for his hosting of entertainment news. He grew up poor, living in the lower districts, and rose to fame simply by his charisma. He had a way with people, which he used to rise to the top. In his younger days, he would occasionally spend time with Jetka and Kai. He was familiar with them both, and later grew to be one of their biggest and most influential clients in their black market trade. He was both a buyer and a seller, constantly moving their product in and out for them. Eventually he too made himself a name in the black market after his business dealings with Jetka, Kai, and Lokaine. He smuggled goods from around the world into Nuine, bringing a surge of curiosity throughout the province. After Kai's death, Dorian decided to partially step away from the market. He still did business with Jet and Lokaine, but limited his time and dealings with them. He continues his job as an entertainer and his black market deals have become more scarce than they once were.

Tadeshi and his siblings Miryn and Lokaine are from the province of Svalbaari. Their parents were well known in both Svalbaari and Nuine. Because of their parents contributions to the province, they were granted access when they were young and have had access ever since. After moving there, he slowly learned that the Council was corrupt. He saw citizens being treated unfairly and wanted to make a difference. He spent much time learning their politics and becoming directly involved in any campaigns for councilship. After years of his contributions to the council, he made a name for himself amongst the political community, eventually earning a name for himself amongst the council themselves. Iylia Hyrma, a running candidate for council, took notice of his work ethic and asked him to join her in her run for council. The two of them grew close and eventually both became chairs on the Nuine council after months of hard work. This was the highest rank the Nuine council had to offer. He believed in her passion to change the province into a better place for everyone. After becoming part of the council however, the two of them were indoctrinated. They started to believe things they would've once denounced. Tadeshi became estranged from his two siblings, focused entirely on his work and political standing in the council. A man who once sought to change the province to better the lives of everyone now only cared for what the council told him to care about: furthering their influence into other parts of the world, no matter the cost.

Lillin is a celestial witch who was casted out of Yewa (the celestial realm) for using dark magic. Not only was she banished, half of her face was hideously morphed after casting a spell that was reflected back to her. Feeling hatred and anger for her punishment, she started to search for a power potent enough to fight all of Yewa. She knew she would need an army at her side, and a powerful one if she was to take over the celestial realm. Upon her travels through the stars, she came upon Alsatia, a planet rich with corrupt magic ripe for the taking. She studied the planet and the life it held for some time before finally making her move. Now she must build her army and plans to use Alsatia and its people to do so.

While his friends believe he is dead after his injuries, he is imprisoned in a ship floating above the atmosphere of Alsatia. His life was saved by an unknown being named Elisi who works for the prison as a medical scientist. He now undergoes experiments and sees no means of returning home any time soon.

Esme is a half-elf, a very rare species on the planet of Alsatia. Not only was it very difficult for an elf and human to create spawn, it often led to death upon birth. She was born in Kahmu, the tropic province, where she lived with her mother and father in the swamps of the forest. She grew up learning all types of different magic, from deep wound healing to banned destruction magic. Her mother was an exceptionally skilled sorceress who once worked for the old king of Nyausha, the province of the Elves. When she was pregnant with Esme, they fled to Kahmu. In Nyausha, it was illegal for an elf and a human to procreate, but the two of them were in love and didn't want their child to grow up being hated. Once she was old enough to be on her own, Esme decided to travel around Kahmu, where she then met Renford. The two became friends and Renford invited her to travel the world with him. She accepted and the two have traveled around the planet together ever since. Years have passed and they have met many interesting people and seen amazing places. Unsure what Renford is in search of, she is just along for the ride.

Renford has always been adventurous. He was an orphan, raised by the sky pirates guild of Takar, a small island town on the western coast of Kahmu. His parents were famous sky pirates who passed when their ship wrecked into the sea. He was 15 when he lost them, but the guild kept him and looked after him until he was old enough to be own his own. He started building his own ship at only 20 years old and has flown it ever since. After his ship was built, he was ready to adventure. He spent the next several years travelling all around the planet. He sold goods from around the world and made a name for himself as a trader, eventually gaining him access to the province of Nuine. Eventually however, he felt home calling him. Upon his return home, he met a half-elf named Esme. The two of them became friends and over time began to travel together. Now him and Esme run a trading business on their ship and travel to all the provinces selling and trading worldly goods.

Katora had always been intrigued by technology. From a young age he studied mechanical engineering, robotics, and cybernetics. When he became a teenager, he started to street race, which eventually led to gambling. He was a troublemaker and constantly in and out of juvenile detention. Finally when he was of age, his parents kicked him out leaving him homeless for a few years. That's when he met Jetka, club owner in the district he lived in. Jetka seemed to be recruiting people to work for him under the table. With his interest piqued, he offered to take the position and so he was hired as a repairman for the club. Shortly into this job, Jet offered him a position in their black market as an automotive mechanic. His new job was installing illegal parts onto vehicles to make them faster/more durable. Customers paid a pretty penny to have modified vehicles. Katora became well known for his modifications, most of which were not legal. He continues to work for Jetka and their black market.

Lusyf was once Lokaine's lover, before he moved to Nuine to pursue his passion to help others. The two grew up together in Belrune, a small city in Svalbaari. She still lives in Belrune as a protector. When she was young, she trained multiple different combat styles and became somewhat of a prodigy. Her and Lokaine decided to join the Guardship of Belrune, a group of trained individuals who protected the city. While Lokaine joined briefly before leaving the province entirely, Lusyf is still a guard and continues to protect the city of Belrune. There is no official governing body in Svalbaari to protect them, so they created their own militia to protect themselves. Recently, the guardship has seen Nuine soldiers bordering the province of Svalbaari, preparing to push into the province. Lusyf and the fellow guards have been preparing themselves for Nuine's next move.

Princess Odessa has always wanted what is best for Nyausha, the province of the elves. She spent her life studying different forms of magic, as well as the celestial realm known as Yewa. Her parents upheld the old ways in the kingdom, and once they passed her older brother Altaer took the throne. The two of them had a somewhat contentious relationship. While Altaer was set in upholding elven tradition, Odessa saw their isolation from the rest of the world as an incredible loss. They were a self sustaining province, but the rest of the world had much to offer, and in turn, Nyausha had much to offer the rest of the world. She envied her brother's position as King. Believing he only wanted what was best for his people, she rarely questioned him, until the day he tried to execute an elf for having relations with a human. Under the impression he was going to do away with this archaic law, she was shocked when the King announced the execution and not exile. Unsure of what to do, she visited the elf seer Kaanah. After hearing the news that an elf would be executed, the two of them quickly made their way back to the kingdom where Kaanah used banned magic to save him from death. King Altaer was furious and called from Kaanah's execution as well. Odessa was able to reason with him, and so Kaanah and the other elf were exiled from the kingdom forever. Odessa has always tried to do the right thing by her people and struggles to watch her brother slowly run their kingdom to the ground by being corrupt. Recently they have discovered Nuine pushing slowly into their lands. Burning villages, stealing goods. King Altaer has dispatched Odessa to the coast to see if she can hold off Nuine soldiers for as long as possible while he plans a counter attack.

Kaanah and her twin brother Vecerius grew up taking care of each other. The two had a tough childhood, doing whatever they had to to survive. When she was a teenager, Kaanah ventured into the forbidden lands of Nyausha. In the woods, she was touched by an archaic magic that gave her visions of the future. Scared of this new ability, she didn't tell anyone, including her brother for many years. After much time, she finally learned more about this capability, what brought these visions on and how. When she finally decided to tell her brother, he was insistent she used her visions to help people. She agreed and became one of the only seers in the entire kingdom. Over time she helped people and became beloved by many. Her brother met a human woman during his travels to study botany worldwide. They settled in Kahmu. Kaanah's quiet life helping others changed quickly however when Princess Odessa visited her, pleading for her help to stop the wrongful execution of another elf. The two made their way to the execution, where Kaanah unleashed a reign of banned magic on the soldiers in order to save him. The King was furious and called for her execution as well. The Princess stepped in and reasoned with him. Kaanah and this other elf would keep their lives, but be forever exiled from the kingdom. She was grateful to the princess, but leaving Nyausha ruined her desire to help others. She built herself a cozy home in the woodlands just outside of the kingdom, where she lives alone in exile.

Sebastian had a fairly normal childhood and grew up in the upper districts of Nuine with his parents who ran political campaigns for council candidates. His parents were often busy, but they tried their best to maintain a balance between parenthood and work. When he was of age, Sebastian joined Nuine's armed forces known as NET or Nuine Enforcement Team. They were soldiers meant to keep citizens in line. After being stationed in the outskirts of the city, he met Kai and Jetka who were both from the lower districts. After an incident involving Svald slaves, Jetka was discharged, while Kai stayed for another year. Sebastian and Kai had a combative relationship during this time. After Kai left, Sebastian spent another year as a NET soldier before returning home and slowly breaking his way into politics with the help of his parents. He met Iylia Hyrma and Tadeshi Magnus who were both running for chairs on the council. After winning the campaign, Iylia offered a political internship to Sebastian, which he accepted. He has been interning for Iylia for half a year and has enjoyed it. He hopes this will spearhead him in the next political campaign for councilship.

Iylia is a Nuine Councilwoman, the highest rank of Nuine's governing body. She and four others rule the province, including Tadeshi and Sebastian. Growing up, she knew she wanted to make a difference in Nuine. It was her home and she always felt a deep love and appreciation for the province. When she was old enough, she started a political internship, which catapulted her into a campaign to run for councilship. During her campaign she met Tadeshi, an eager Svald man desperate to make a change between Nuine-Svalbaari relations, much like his parents before him. The two of them hit it off immediately and became very good friends. During this time she also met Sebastian, an old NET soldier who wanted to join politics. She and Tadeshi both won seats in the council and so the indoctrination began. Her and Tadeshi both were influenced heavily by the other council members and the trajectory of their political desires changed to better suit the council's desires. After getting to know him, she asked Sebastian to be her intern. Now, she and the other council members maintain the corruption, making them hated by many.

Yuki's childhood was far from normal. She grew up with her father, who tortured her both mentally and physically for many years. Her mother died giving birth to her and she never had any siblings. Being the subject of her father's torment gave her a negative disposition of the world around her. She had a hard time making friends and trusting others after watching her father finesse the people around them. Finally, after years of being brutalized, she stood up for herself and told her father no more. He began to choke Yuki in this moment, and unsure of whether or not she might live, she was sent into fight or flight. While being choked, she grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed her father to death in a very violent manner. Scared of what she'd done, instead of notifying correct authorities, she fled the scene and never returned. It has been almost a month and Yuki is still on the run, trying to seek a way out of Shaojji so she can start a new life.

Naryna is a being from the celestial realm of Yewa. Known as a celestial being, or angel. Yewa is the land of gods and their celestial disciples. Naryna is a disciple of Lyrie, the Goddess of Justice. Her job was to act out justice on behalf of Lyrie and grant blessings in her name to those who've lost someone. Her discipleship was fairly normal, until the day Lillin used dark magic against one of her own. Lillin was not only exiled from Yewa, but her face was hideously morphed when Naryna reflected a spell casted on her. After Lillin's dramatic exit from Yewa, the realm was peaceful yet again. Recently, however, Lyrie has expressed concerns for Lillin's plans to overtake the planet Alsatia. Naryna continues to serve Lyrie in Yewa, but believes she will soon be sent to Alsatia to help protect the life that lives there.

Valthir has been a servant to Princess Odessa for many years. He came from a long line of royal servants and continued the legacy. He appreciated being a servant to someone who saw him as a person and treated him with care and respect. 
He strongly believed the princess would have made for a better ruler than her brother King Altaer. The two of them grew fairly close and considered each other friends. He watched as tensions between brother and sister rose. He started to see the king's corruption, but remained loyal to the princess even though fear overtook what was once excitement to serve the throne. Valthir continues to serve the princess despite his convictions about the king.

Kjave is apart of a race believed to be extinct, known as the Fenaaren. They were the first sentient beings to walk the planet and can live to be centuries old. While the world believes they no longer exist, Kjave is part of the very few of them left living in the forbidden lands of Nyausha. The Fenaaren know magic that is lost to the rest of the world, making them invaluable allies. She has lived modestly for centuries, never going outside of her means and always staying close to her people. Once the rulers of Alsatia in the ancient days, they now live quiet isolated lives.

Altaer grew up knowing he would some day become king. It put immense pressure on him, to the point he would often lash out at those around him. Deep down, he wanted what he believed was best, even if his judgment was clouded with bigotry. After taking the throne, he decided to uphold the old ways instead of abolishing them. This angered a lot of elves, but he didn't care because he felt he was protecting them for their own good. Somewhat aware of the hatred towards him, he still didn't stop enforcing archaic laws. His sister Princess Odessa and him do not see eye to eye on many issues, and he ignores her input when given. He believes her to be naïve when it comes to ruling a kingdom. Years have past and the kingdom has slowly become weaker over time as a result of Altaer's rule. As Nuine approaches their province, he is forced to send his own sister to stop them.
