ALFRED AROUND THE WORLD: Main Cast Auditions
Project Overview
ALFRED AROUND THE WORLD is an eccentric animated series celebrating and poking fun at the spirit of adventure, as well as the odd life of a one-eyed frog named Alfred and his strange mixed-up fellow creatures. Alfred is one to try and discover new things about his bizarre world, regardless of consequence.
Even if not always successful in his many endeavors, he always comes back with more knowledge than before. Maybe not always smarter, though.

Alfred is a one-eyed frog, which is a very appropriate choice given his eye for adventure and discovery. He is a fun-loving and carefree spirit who is very good at heart…but he isn’t exactly spotless. Sometimes he’s so carefree that he doesn’t think that he has any responsibility whatsoever, and he can get too big for his britches most of the time. This, naturally, leads him into all kinds of trouble. Far too many times has Wally or Dottie had get him out of a jam that he put himself in…

Wally, good buddy, we’re goin’ to be finding the legendary Zap-Snap! They say it’s got the strongest jaws of all the creatures in the sea!
Hey, look! It’s a buck-toothed roost-roast! That one’s goin’ in the scrapbook for sure!
(Line 3 is improv. Say anything you think would fit the character.)
Wally is a very very careful snutterfly (a snail crossed with a butterfly). The complete opposite of Alfred, he is extremely cautious about any kind of danger. He is not exactly one to take chances. He is somewhat smarter than Alfred because of this…but he still finds himself in danger anyway.

The Zap-Snap? But I thought that it was proven to be a hoax years ago! You can’t search for something that doesn’t exist!
Why do I bother telling him these things? It’s not like he’s gonna ever listen to reason…
(Line 3 is improv. Say anything you think would fit the character.)
Dottie is a motlosp (a moth crossed with a wasp) who is very curious about the world. She greatly enjoys going on adventures with Alfred and Wally to find out more new things. She is one to ask a lot of questions about life and the odd creatures they encounter. She is very fascinated with various subjects, but she is fascinated with light in particular. She really really likes light.

What’s a Zap-Snap? Is it anything like the Snaggletooth Locket of the East? I still remember how long it took to get Wally out of its teeth…
I’ve always wondered, why do Spotted Stretchems always have their neck tangled in knots? Are they born like that? Or did something happen to it for it to end up that way?

Snitch is a snabbit (snake + rabbit), and Alfred and the gang’s worst nightmare. He’s a big, flamboyant, condescending jerk who loves to brag about how much better he is than Alfred because he apparently found the Zap-Snap first or he climbed Mount Slippenfall before anyone else did…of course, he didn’t do any of these things. He just thinks that if you say you did it you don’t actually need to do it and respect just comes to you. And of course, when he does somehow end up doing these things…lets just say that he usually ends up in the hospital afterward. Snitch doesn’t have a group of friends like Alfred, he lives alone with three vermin (they aren’t really his henchmen, but not really his friends) he has to put up with.

Face it, frog! That Zap-Snap is nothing more than pure fiction. And besides, even if it were real, I’d have found it first!
Why must my existence be burdened with that frog? Why can’t he just do the right thing and let me win for once?
