Casting for additional characters
Alexandra has been added to casting list.
This is an early twenties female character. Needs to have an British accent or a Russian/Eastern European accent. Accents must be slight enough that the speech is still very clear to English speakers. Let me know if you have questions on this.
This character is a friend of the main protagonist. She is sarcastic and cocky and generally takes control of the situations she is in. She has trouble taking direction from her senior officer (Admiral Alexandra, character 4). Later in the script she also needs to be able to convey hatred and scorn believably. She starts out as a “good guy” and becomes a “bad guy” through the course of the game.
Alayna: [Casual] No need to be so formal, Ethan. It's going to make a year out here on the
back end of nowhere even more unbearable to have you standing on ceremony.Alayna:
[Disapproving] Scavengers were
hiding in the nebula and ambushed a civilian supply convoy in the last
hour. While you were 'delayed' the
civilians were destroyed. Most hands
were lost, but a few ships managed to launch their life pods.Alayna:
[Triumphant, superior] Well
someone had to save your sorry butts.
This is a mid twenties male character. Needs to have an British accent and a commanding presence. This is one of the three main protagonist characters.
This character is reckless with a bit of wild streak. That being said, he is an officer of the Federation Navy and something of a rising star. Many of his responses in dialogues are more dry, he needs to be able to play the straight man in the script. However, he has a couple of longer speeches of him thinking to himself, and he also needs to be able to be believably angry/furious.
Ethan: [Thoughtful]
I don't like the idea of taking civilians into hostile
space. Let's take the slow route through
the nebula.Ethan: [Stiff, formal] Civilian cruiser suffered a reactor
core failure and they abandoned ship. We
arrived in time and all life pods were recovered.Ethan: [Flirtatious]
"Well Commander, I'm sure the signals can wait if you
have a more pressing task for me here. [Smiles]”
We are looking for an American accent with a hint of East Asian... mid 30s.
Budget: $1.00usd/line
Estimated Line Count: 109
A tough and stern boss lady.
In a few days you will each be reporting to your assigned
sectors. We are stretched thin across
the Frontier and I will need each of you to lead your own, smaller
battlegroups. Many of the best and brightest come to serve on the
Frontier. You are the newest link in a
long chain of responsibility, duty and sacrifice which has been forged on the
anvil of Mars. I know what you may have heard.
You think this is a backwater post.
You think this tour will be easy.
That is an attitude that can and will end in death for you and your
crew. The Frontier is savage. Most of
what happens out here never makes it to the news vids to disturb the comfort
and safety of the Core Worlds. Out here
we are the order. If you perform your duty well the colonists and miners will
be secure in the rule of law. Shipments
of Hydrium and energy will flow to the Federation's heart and mankind prospers.
Should your diligence wane, should you fail you will forfiet not just your
life, not just the lives of your crews, but you will forfiet the safety and security
of the most vulnerable. We are far from Mars, we are far from the Core Worlds,
but these are still Federation citizens.
Citizens that you are sworn to protect. While deployed to your
individual sectors you will each have five orders you need to carry out.Lieutenant Alayna
