A day without you
Project Overview
Hello and welcome to the second casting call for the chaotic idiots the series standalone episode: a day without you. This story features a side cast of characters who'll require neurodivergent voices to fill them in the characters of keegan, Tobias, and Cassius. While they are only minor side characters, I would like to have them voiced by authentic neurodiverse talent. The characters are male and Autistic, they fall on the spectrum in a variety of ways and I'd love to have them voiced by individuals who have lived experience. Chaotic Idiots is a series that has a fully neurodiverse cast for both seasons 1 & 2 and this stand alone episode is written in celebration of the four year anniversary this month on may 15th. It's light hearted and fun and I look forward to hearing your auditions.

Tobias: Mr. Agnon…um…the things that I deal with everyday, it seems to always be happening to me and how do I know when it’s big enough for me to get you. I don’t want to bother you over every little thing that happens to me because then I think you will get angry at me as if it’s my fault and I know, I know I’m no angel but I think it’s all because of the fact that things started out wrong for me and ever since, it’s always been a problem, like you said earlier, perception, people see me as some loser and over time that perception has only been cemented in people’s minds…cause, I’ve tried, I’ve tried to show other sides of myself but I’m never looked at differently, it’s like a curse I can’t break and I guess I’ve sort of accepted the fact that I am this loser, troublemaker or whatever you want to call me, I’ve grown to become this character from everyone’s mind because it makes everyone happy…I bring comfort in a way cause I’m labeled and I know I sound crazy but these are the things I’m dealing with and I just wanted you to hear it from me.
Cassius: Most of the time I keep to myself. Most of the time I sit in my room. I’ve got a roommate but most of the time he’s got his face to the wall. Most of the time I think about not being there. I think what it would be like to be someone else. Someone I see on the TV or in a magazine, or even walking free on the grounds. They can keep me as long as they want. It’s not like a prison term. I’ve already been there longer than most. A lot of the time I think about getting this house with all this land around it. And I’d get a bunch of dogs, no little ones you might step on but big dogs, like a horse, and I’d let them run wild. They’d never know a leash. And I’d build a go-cart track on my property. Charge people to race around on it. Those places pull in the bucks. I’d be raking it in. And nobody would know where I was. I’d be gone. Most of the time I just want to be someplace else.
Keegan: I'm Chester Crabinski. I'm the student body treasurer. I'm also the official font designer for the yearbook; the school district's highest ranking chess master; the resident herpetologist in the science club; the principal's honorary spokesperson against nerd-related violence; and I'm also the founding member of a twelve-step program known as Over-Achiever's Anonymous.
