Hi there! My name is Rubee/CK, and I am a third-year college student directing an animated thesis film for the 2025-2026 school year at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. When the first semester begins in late August, I will be starting the animation production of my film. And before my team of animators and I can start animating, we'll need voices!
Logline: After the death of her middle sister, Veronica becomes lost in old voice messages, until a call from her youngest sister offers a small moment of comfort.
Story: After being missing for some time, Vihana’s death is eventually confirmed. Weeks later, around Halloween night, her oldest sister, Veronica, becomes caught in a string of voice messages Vihana sent leading up to her final words. As she listens, she falls into an emotional state that causes her to see illusions of her Vihana, but attempts to pull herself together when her younger sister calls to talk about how her trick-or-treating experience is going.

A film for those who appreciate emotional storytelling centered on family dynamics and small moments of healing, older siblings who know the weight of holding it together for their younger, and anyone who simply loves a bittersweet Halloween short!

Vinnie is the middle sister who passed on. She had limited guidance in life and was very outgoing, loved spending time with friends and family, and was a true people person.
She aspired to be an actress and dancer, among other things. Tragically, those dreams were cut short when she was killed. In the animated film, Vinnie will mostly be playing a voiceover. There are scenes where she is visibly speaking, but those scenes are known to only be illusions that her older sister, Veronica, sees when she's grieving.

Voice Description: When she talks, she tends to stretch out or exaggerate certain phrases/words, and is very rambly, like in the reference character shown below!

Veja is the youngest sibling who is still full of youthfulness and innocence. She’s very
energetic and optimistic towards life, always talkative, and full of curiosity. In other words, she’s a cutie patootie.

Very child-like, and joyous. Similar to Vihana, she can be very rambly!
